I need a lot more emotional passion and warmth to feel connected to someone - whether as a friend or romantically.
Sagittarius can be a bit dispassionate - at least from my perspective being an Aries..
They're too 'laid back' for me. Then they have moments and glimpses when they do something *passionate* so for a second I think.. "hang on.. maybe I do like them!" - Then they revert back to being laid-back.. so I'm like "meh.. whatever.. anticlimax..."

I've known Sagittarians I really liked though but I like them only because I find their general demeanour and their funny side uplifting and inspiring.. I still don't like them on a more personal level - because we are not personally "connected" enough.

The other thing is.. they pay just as much attention to themselves and their own problems - as they do to everyone else around them.. which is virtually *none at all*.

Sometimes their problems build up in the background and they end up depressed - and they don't even know it.
Being a fire sign myself I have an urge to lift them back out - of the emotional hole they dug themselves.. but it's not easy.. and I just feel depleted.
I have to stay away from this type of depressed Sag ^

They just use people until they're done with them. Every single thing they do is for self-interest, even if it looks like they're being generous.

And don't get me started on the cutting words.

But generally I'd say the Sagittarius behaviour is more so - ADD - rather than sociopathic... They can't *focus* on anything or anyone.

I had another supervisor at a more mundane job who was a Sag, but he went out of his way to let a guy who worked there live with him and his family when the guy was having serious personal problems. It was a very quiet thing, I think I was the only person besides those two who knew about it. But still, a very genuinely kind thing to do. The Sag had seen some hard times himself, and apparently felt like it was the right thing to do.

And then there's Noam Chomsky, who to my way of thinking, embodies all of the positive qualities of a Sag. Not that I know him personally or anything.

But wow, I'm glad that I haven't been meeting the ones you guys are talking about. I suppose I've had a few Sag friends who (in retrospect) seemed to care more for their adventures than they did their kids or their marriages or partnerships or whatever, and I'm kind of baffled by that.
