Topic: Neptune is the worst....Is there anything good about neptune?

I have decided that the planet I like the least is neptune.Neptune does not help you make wise decisions and makes inaction more tempting and inviting than achieving. It makes you a target bc it makes you a sucker and doesnt let you see clearly. It also makes you addicted to idealism which is dangerous bc you will not be happy with what you have and you will not want to work with what you got etc.. I think neptune is the worst planet. Is there anything good about neptune that cant be accessed via some other planet??? I suppose it rules sleep and sleeping is vital for getting rid of toxins in the brain on a daily basis and neptune perhaps enhances the quality of sleep. Any other planets that can enhance sleep other than neptune?? IP: Logged |

Hmm, I like it. It gives dreams and hope. Without those I'd have turned out to be quite cynical and depressed. I retreat to my neptune safe-house every time I'm tired or sad. IP: Logged |

 You are right about the hopes and dreams...they are like air in a way...like air for the soul.
BUT I think hopes and dreams is an 11th house thing......however when I think hopes and dreams I think neptune and the sun (pisces,leo) more than uranus/aquarius. However, I think the 11th house talks about hopes and dreams in reference to friendship and the larger circle that can help you reach those dreams but neptune/pisces would do the dreaming and sun/Leo will create them after dreaming them. All does start with a dream.......you MAKE a very good point. Thanks for the insight. I feel better about neptune now. Maybe I should have titled my post I wish I had more natal saturn sextile and trine aspects LOL.
I retreat as well to my neptune safe house when sad or stressed

Neptune has a lovely side. It is creativity. Without a strong Neptune, one could not be an artist. If you see art or music that makes you cry, it is touching your Neptune. That artist had to have it touch HIS Neptune first. That is how I see it. I have Neptune trines, though, not hard aspects.------------------

That is true is your neptune that cries bc of a beautiful song or amazing movie/video or a beautiful view or photograph. Neptune is maybe the soul. Maybe it is where compassion comes from and the ability to put yourself in other shoes and mirror neurons. I am going to start visualizing neptune as the soul or the 3rd eye. I am sorry, now I feel bad about complaining about neptune LOL.
I guess I need to enjoy the good about neptune and try to become more and more skilled at keeping the bad about it in check.

Of course it has it's down side. Every planet does. Even the Sun. Look at the typical Leo Sun description given and you get a picture of an arrogant, egotistical, pompous, entitled a-hole that it's a wonder anybody can like them. But on the contrary, Leo can be warm and giving, loyal creatures It's all in perspective. Neptune is my Sun's ruler, and my Sun is my chart ruler, so Neptune has played a large role in my life. I'll admit to escapism and even at some points in time taking the easy road vs the long one that would help me fulfill my dreams. But Neptune isn't always about illusion. It can be about beauty and soul. Being able to understand others on a level that nobody else can. I don't let many people in to my watery side because I'm a bit jaded, but my one piece of advice I could give you here is to cherish Neptune and the gifts he brings. Neptune is not the soul, to me. That would be the Moon. Is is the next dimension of creativity and spirituality. Don't feel badly about expressing yourself, Friend.------------------

Exactly! I have never understood that stereotype, is so not fair. My best friend from childhood who I adore is a Leo and my cousin is a leo and they are giving, warm, loyal, and fun. My most loyal friend is my childhood friend and he has leo all over the place: Sun, moon, mercury and venus. An artist. I have never doubted him. We practically never see each bc we live in different countries but he is family..it doesnt matter once we see each other is still the same. Very confident but super down to earth.

When I think of positive attributes of Neptune I think of:
1. Creativity
2. Spiritual connection to sourceIn order to achieve the above you need to lose yourself. The problem having enough discipline to know when it's OK to give yourself permission to lose yourself. Example: Not in a relationship with another human- you will be a sucker.
Not when it comes to mind-altering substances- you will be sorry. It's Ok to lose yourself in the beauty of Nature that is a well-spring of recharging yourself. I have Neptune closely conjunct Jupiter, Moon and Mars all in the 12th. Just my 2 cents... IP: Logged |

If you are lucky enough to have a gift then Neptune is considered somewhat fortunate. It mostly just causes people problems, from what I have seen, by confusing them or indicating trouble with addiction.
What can you do with it? Well, you can see if it has bestowed some kind of gift, uncover it and use it to your advantage. Some with a prominent Neptune do this. IP: Logged |

I have prominent Neptune in my chart.
it trines my Sun/Venus and Mars who are in the 12th house.
It gives me compassion, and the desire to help, I also into beauty, have an eye for nice things/clothes/design..maybe helps with the intuition too.
I feel like it also protects me in a way, but def gives me the dreamy attitude.
With Mars, it takes away the power/strength, so I physically my energy level/endurance is not the longest, but mentally no problem..IP: Logged |

I find all that nice on paper but very difficult irl. I have Neptune in my life everyday it really does a number on people, trust me. Full force Neptune is not an easy thing to live with.
