How would you astrologically explain an inherent lack of willingness to participate in casual sex? Don't bring up religion, views imposed by parents etc. I mean a natural tendency.THIS IS NOT A SEX CONFESSIONS THREAD. Stay on topic and behave please. ------------------

I have an 8H Leo Venus, but this seems to put sex in a whole other level of experience. My Venus is square Pluto, so I'm obssessed with feelings and sensations, but it's trine to Mars, so I'm pretty okay with how I express my sexuality. Well - asexuality... demisexuality...I can't think of anything else that would explain a 'natural tendency'. I personally think Mars in Pisces, Mars in aspect to Neptune and Mars in the 12th are the most likely to have no desire whatsoever for sex for its own sake. But I guess I could extend this to Mars in aspect to any transpersonal planet - including Uranus and Pluto. Mars is connected to sex drive and when it touches a transpersonal planet - the sex drive can just be *weird* by traditional standards. Having no interest in casual sex and no desire to have it - does not necessarily mean the person - doesn't go there. For instance I know at least two men with a Pisces Mars who have had casual sex just because they felt sorry for the person in question and they didn't want to reject them - or they thought the physical connection would help that person get through a depressive period in their lives. Having Mars/Neptune myself - I am demisexual so the desire for sex isn't there most of the time, unless there's a specific kind of emotional connection between us - that can turn me on.... but I could see myself getting sucked into 'pity sex'... because I easily feel sorry for people. There are -other- double agendas for which people could have sex even if they have no desire to and are generally disinterested in sex. Neptune/Pisces influence - as well as Pluto/Scorpio influence can be highly manipulative (on their dark side). For example - Casanova had Mars in Pisces - and we all know he is quite infamous for his sexual activity. This does not necessarily mean he was having sex for pleasure.. or that he was having sex because he really needed and wanted to. He could have been having sex because he enjoyed the attention and the rumours - and wanted to have a particular social image.
There are also rumours that he made up half of the things he confessed to doing... which is likewise Piscean.
Sometimes everything is smoke mirrors with Pisces. I have the Mars/Neptune conj as I was saying - No one in my day to day life knows that I am demisexual - or that I identify with this. They wouldn't imagine this at all. I'm flirty and very open minded about sex in general.
People probably imagine that I would have casual sex or that I have at some point (but nope.. never lol).. I wanted to mention all this stuff about how the social image someone has does not always fit in with 'the reality'.. because I was sure that as soon as I mention Pisces in this thread - I would get a storm of replies saying that they know someone with a Pisces Mars or with Mars/Neptune who is a manwh0re or a female prostitute or what not...

I have mars square neptune/uranus too.When I'm in love I can have sex within every hour.
My partner has Mars opposite Uranus and Neptune. We waited forrrrreverrrrr.. but now when we're together we can't get off each other... Anyways I never had casual sex.
I did have sexual encounters which I could not really prevent but they don't count imo.

LOL ^^  Well that's a very different matter.. or at least it seems very different to me. One person is saying they have no desire whatsoever for casual sex (although they may still engage in it for whatever double agenda - although obviously not *everyone* does this). The other person is saying they are sexual, they do have sexual desires - but due to traditional beliefs (whether religious or otherwise) they would choose to chastise themselves and hold back. The first person fits in with what I was saying - Mars in aspect to a transpersonal planet - because this can give people a strange sex drive or a non-existent sex drive... although it can also make them highly open minded about sex - so the religious 'rules' would not mean much to them. The second person is someone who values tradition, religion rules/norms - more than they value their own desires/wants/wishes in life.
For this second type of person I would go with Taurus, Cancer and Capricorn (maybe Venus or Mars in those signs) - purely because those are considered the most traditional - and most likely to uphold convention. Other than those three.. Leo and Virgo are probably likely to stick to convention as well.. but not as much as the other three. It would be easier to twist their arm into 'going there'. Scorpio is a strange one... Often Scorpio can be stubborn and rigid about their own personal set of values.. but they are not always in line with 'tradition' or convention.
Scorpio is more rigid about emotional/spiritual rules - than they are about religious and social rules. If something seems morally wrong to Scorpio - it is usually because an emotional *wrong* has been done. They are not 'cold' enough to stick to tradition for the sake of it as Capricorn might... and not fearful enough to do it out of fear of disapproval as Taurus or Cancer might. IP: Logged |

Yep, this pretty much describes me.
I feel like I could do casual sex, as I am good at compartmentalizing things (at least when it comes to avoiding emotional attachment, energy is another matter though, as I a very sensitive to that...); if it's casual sex, then it will be strictly physical and nothing more...Virgo Moon square Uranus helps with that, but I just don't want that...nor do I need it. When it comes to a special connection though, it's ridiculous... I've thought about doing it, but when I sit and think about it, it still ends up feeling like I'd be forcing my self to do it rather than doing it simply because I have a genuine interest and desire to do so ( or doing it because I feel like it). Just not interested in it. I do have a Scorpio Mars opp Sun, sextile Virgo Moon/4th
Sun is in 12th along with Venus, North Node and Chiron.
Venus trine Neptune/Moon, opp Saturn/Pluto...

Anything involving Capricorn! I believe plays a big role. I've got Saturn sextile my ASC & my Mars in Capricorn. My Venus is also in the 8th House so I take love & sex very seriously!!
