I have East and West nodes. They're commonly referred to as my Sun and Moon, for those who don't already know that about me. I suppose that does give me a grand cross, if I count my SN (which I haven't until now).

I still can't quite figure out what my Sag NN in 4th conjunct Neptune in 5th is supposed to...oohhhh. Hey guess what?

I'm giving notice at my shelter job so that I can focus my time volunteering with activities that are more centered around my son, and focus more on being more present in my home life (which has required me to look past grating stereotypes and the expectations of others, thumb my nose that, and just dive in).

WTF, it took 38 years for this to happen?? Hrmphh. Well, whatever. As long as it's happening.

In other news, it's quite possible that I might have been taking turns between East and West (Moon and Sun), but with Neptune all mucking around in there it's hard to tell.

I've been cruising my Taurus SN in 9H conjunct Jupiter for over 16 years...moving back home to Europe now and plan on living my Scorpio NN in 3H for awhile and I know it'll be a damn struggle because I have "itchy feet" like no one I have ever met!

Oh...does a NN about four degrees from the cusp of a house count? It does seem really close, personally, but that might be because it's conjunct Neptune which is in my 5th. They do tend to kind of merge a bit. Home, children, etc.
I kind of wish I didn't have Uranus sitting on my IC. Oh well. My home is unique.

I would pay attention to the next house if NN was a degree away or less but a conjunction to a planet in that house is definitely worth considering.

I think I'm kinda lucky to have my NN in the sign and house of my Sun. I have no problem with being myself It's a pity it's not closer to my Sun though, it wouldn't square my Moon then.

I have Moon square the Nodes, as well.

Apparently it's about karma related to Moon stuff - mother, family, native country / roots, emotions, yada yada.

Well, it's not like the absence of this aspect would save my Moon I have more afflictions plus Uranus in the 4th. No happy family life for me.

Hahaha...how is it that the three of us have Moon square NN, Uranus in 4th, and we would all love to leave the country we live in?!

Wanna trade, Doux?

Now I feel like I want to look up the karmic explanations of Sun and Moon square NN (it's a tight square, I might add). I've never read up on it for some reason.

I'm jealous of your NN position. It's *only* square your Moon? Lucky!

I have a close NN-Saturn conjunction and NN opposite Chiron. Are you sure there's a reason to envy?

Hmm...I wonder how that feels in comparison to my Sun/Moon/NN-Neptune T-square (or grand cross, if you count my SN)? Maybe we could trade for a month and see which is better, and then flip a coin to see who gets the better deal?

I somehow think the Universe would frown upon that, though. Hrmphh.

I have NN square venus-merc-saturn conjunction, sq chiron, semi sextile pluto, sextile mars.

I mentally visualize NN grabbing hold of me when I'm attempting to avoid its lessons every time something NN-ish happens.

Actually I've seen quite a few struggles with personal planets conjunct North Nodes in charts I've examined!

Your North Node ruler making an aspect to the Nodes is a very fortuitous position but when you consider that the North Node is about what we are to learn in this life then you may look at it differently.

Quite often a planet conjunct the Nodal axis will have a story to uncover. For instance I remember a chart of a man with Venus-Node-Pluto conjunct in Scorpio. The man was passionate sure, it was tangible in his aura but his ability to express it was incredibly limited. His creativity was his outlet but his history was one of mental health issues ~from the onset of puberty (the recognition of love and sex).

From what I can gather he's worked hard to overcome his difficult experiences and has balanced more over the years. The point is the North node points to what we are to LEARN and it's not easy when a personal planet is embroiled in an area which is undeveloped and vulnerable.

Cappy, how do you feel your NN/Saturn conjunction? Is Saturn stuff challenging for you?

Oh, I know what you mean, trust me.

In my case, I'm usually my own biggest obstacle. *facepalm*

And then whenever I'm like 'I won't be defeated!! I shall rise from the ashes!! SPARTAAA!!', something happens that basically ruins all my plans and brings my motivation back to zero. Saturn squares at your service. Yay.
