No, it doesn't always work in that way , although they said the hard aspect of the saturn to natal sun in woman may affect what you've thought.
I 've seen many that still have both parents. But for sure , I don't know a quality of life or how are the relationships with father when the native grow up.
I'd like to share mine, I have a sun conjunct saturn 6 degree and saturn is also conjunt my AC , saturn square moon. My parents are both ok and healthy together , over 60 years old. But I grew up as an unhappy child . There're no physical harmness at all , just the restricted emotion and too much stress environment for any children could bear.I have a duty in my child-life that I had to accomplish , along with the parents push me in a hard way . Right now when I grew up ,I want to erase all of my child memories (except the love part from my parents), what I've been through , what I have choosen for now ,sometimes it all unhealthy for living.
Another friend has saturn conjunct sun too, there's no any hard saturn aspect to his moon . He lost his parents when he's very young . He grew up with his mother , it' s seem to be he is quite a happy child, atleast he has moon trine uranus , he will find the opened door everytime when life is harsh..lol
So, I just want to say . If they have the prediction /definition of the aspect "sun square saturn" 10 meaning, you could have a chance that it may true just only 1 meaning or else 2,3,4,5,6...10 ..depend on individual.
My suggest is , may be start with the parents not pushing the child too hard because deep down in the native who have this hard aspect always struggle for somethings eventhough the environment is not that hard at all , they will feel the burden , the fighting atmosphere from beginning.
Like people who has uranus in8th , it doesn't always mean that they would die sooner .
HTH,
