Me. Virgo Moon opp Pisces Sun.Saturn in Cancer in 11th. (Trine Sun and square Pluto, but I don't know if the aspects have much to do with anything.) If I'm going to work out in a gym (which I rarely do anyway), I wait until it's late and there aren't many people there. I prefer to work out at home, or by doing normal things that give me a good workout inadvertently. (Virgo Moon likes privacy and practicality, Pisces Sun just likes privacy. Saturn in 11th avoids large groups of "normal" people like the plague.) I also like martial arts (Cap Mars), but I don't feel as though everyone is trying to show off in a dojo, because that's kind of the opposite of what they usually teach in those types of places. I suspect it is the Saggie in me (who knows physically, I'm a bit awkward), or maybe the Scorpio stuff, just not a fan of being watched when working out. It's sort of like "whattayalookinat!?!?" To me the gym or dojo is there to put in work, not to ogle other people unless they are doing a movement one would like to try, otherwise respect each other's space TBH though, if a woman passes by in yoga pants, I'm going to notice, not stare mind you, but notice, then go back to doing what I'm doing IP: Logged |

I think training is a very personal thing. Every person has different goals and no one really wants to be watched if they are truley going to the gym for results.

Me! Cancer sun, gem moon and ascendant with a cancer saturn. I tend to prefer outdoors activities as being in the gym bores me. Being outdoors doesnèt always work though, I had a guy leer at me when I was getting ready to leave. It made me want to punch him.IP: Logged |

Leering is creepy, like a dog seeing a bone. I workout at home on the deck, and have female neighbors commenting as they pass bye. Which is both good and bad, so normally workout early in the morning or late at night Love walking in the mtns at night, the stars seem so close and have privacy to just enjoy them Suspect it is the Pluto influence of hating to not be perfect IP: Logged |

I hate gyms and would never go to one. I exercise outdoors only and am happier when it's an activity like bicycling. I jog but really hate jogging. I just tune people out all the time I never pay attention to any of them so I wouldn't notice if one is leering. I just ignore them all. I have sun trine Saturn square Venus, plenty of Uranian influence and moon opposite Neptune so it's easy for me to tune them all out. If they get too close I move though. IP: Logged |

I grew up in Buffalo so Ontario was just across the river, the very flat river plain.. Love my mtns, lived at the beach for a bit and would take the mtns 9.5 times out of 10 I think there is a fine line between noticing someone who one finds attractive and going full on teenager. IP: Logged |

Padre: I think there is a fine line between noticing someone who one finds attractive and going full on teenager.Either way, yuck! He was just sitting there with a gross smile on his face and a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. Ah, so you never left the snow then! I always heard how hard Buffalo would be hit by snow every year. Great people in upper NY state, many would come over to Kingston in the summer. IP: Logged |

Sort of, here 2 inches of snow shuts the town down and there are lots of car accidents. I love walking when the snow first starts to fall, suspect that is the Aries or Scorpio Mars, most people stay strictly indoors in that weather here. Snow falling, wind in trees, no one out and about and putting that work in. Now there is a flip side to this, sometimes the ladies will wear the skimpest workout wear so to me, being oggled should not then come as surprise while working out. Midrift top, spandex shorts, what does one suppose will happen. I find it odd that there is this sort of dichotomy of some ladies dressing to attract attention, but only attention from the right men. A bit like broadcasting a program but only wanting certain people to watch it... IP: Logged |

People are not used to the snow and donèt change their driving. I enjoy being out in the snow too, this is especially true at the first snow fall. The sky tends to be a deep beautiful blue and the snow just hangs off the trees like streamers. I can understand your point about what women wear when exercising. I wasnèt looking for attn and specifically went on the trail to avoid the chance of being looked at by people. I am not sure what I am supposed to wear other than spandex or exercise pants. I cannot wear jeans or slacks when I jog! IP: Logged |

Goodness no Canadiangirl, not saying or implying anything of the sort on your behalf.I think what this all really boils down to is there is unwanted attention going on and it is not welcomed nor reciprocated. I always looked at the gym or working out as..well...putting in work...it's like a job only your body pays you instead of a client or customer Suspect that sort of objectivity comes from the analytical side of Saggie

Heh, sorry, I gave the wrong impression. I wasnèt saying you were trying to imply that at all. I am sorry I gave you that impression. I was just curious what women are left to wear when they work out.I totally agree with you about your opinion of working out. We used to build snow forts near the US Can border on Lake Ontario in hopes of a huge snow fight with some people from NY state. lol. IP: Logged |

Wear what one feels comfortable in, however, halter top and spandex pants will draw attention, both the good and the bad kind. For me, just a tank top and shorts draws attention whether I want it or not, just how it is. Uncomfortable at times though Downside to walking during a snowfall is I wear these Swiss Army boots that weigh 5 pds each, so up and down the hills and it feels like my quads are being hit with a baseball bat afterwards IP: Logged |

I prefer a longer shirt rather than a halter top. *WOW* Those boots would be so heavy when there is very deep snow. It must tire you out very quickly. Are they really warm though. The atmosphere is so different in the winter. IP: Logged |

Oh sure, they are quite heavy in the snow, BUT, that is the calculation of working outWalk in snow up and down hillsides and ones thighs get ripped so does ones butt because it is HARD That to me is Mars in Scorpio to a "T" And do keep in mind, nothing wrong a halter top and spandex, it is more the reality is it will draw attention. Heck, when I'd bike downtown in the summer and wear a tank top some female friends wanted me to flex for them...Im far to introverted to do that sort of thing. BUT wore it because biking 3 miles up an incline one gets...hot...really hot, wear a t-shirt and it's like a sauna IP: Logged |

I love snow but my feet always get so numb in it no matter what shoes or boots I wear. That's the downside. IP: Logged |

How far do you walk. They must be high and well sealed boots. Sorry about the lack of question marks, my computer is being stupid. The Kingston area created trails from the old railway lines so they can go for miles! One of the reason I choose the trails is the scenery (animals) are always different. Know all about how a t-shirt can be like a sauna. I am guessing you have the same horrible humidity in Buffalo that we have here. IP: Logged |

Walk about 3 miles per day, at least, b/c I walk everywhere, or bike.My goodness though, I see people in those running shoes and have envy, think "wow, those must feel so light". And I'm no longer in Buffalo, I'm down in Asheville NC, up in the mtns and it gets very humid...very much so. So if one is going to bike uptown to have a beer and hangout, not sure the old sweaty tshirt is the way to go. OT, but looked up the old house and it is going for like 24k now...wow...two stories with a basement and garage for 24k is amazingly cheap, that area must really be depressed economically.
