I was wondering, when in synastry planets don't aspect each other significantly, but the planets sign of person A is in one sign, and persons B planet is in the house of that sign? I speak gibberish

For example, my boyfriend has a Cancer Moon and my Moon is in 4th House (house of Cancer). Even though, our Moons don't make a tight aspect (we have a very loose trine, cause my Moon is 0 degree Sag), we have a great emotional bond, and both are very "homey", share family values and traditions, etc.

The danger lies in contradictory influences.

Say, one's got Venus in Aries, the other 1H Venus - in Capricorn. They're gonna have issues - unless Aries is the other's MC. Then there's a mutually expressed Aries / Capricornian / Venusian energy of varying degrees.

I personally love completion affinity. For example:

Sun in Cancer / Moon in 5H
Moon in 4H / Sun in Leo

I have a half-complement with someone. His 8H Cancer Sun, 5H Moon, with my 2H Libra Sun, 3H Scorpio Moon.

The psychological dynamics are intriguing, thanks to the whole picture:

His 8H Cancer Sun is in the Scorpio decanate and Libra dwad.
My 2H Libra Sun is in the Aquarius decanate, Taurus dwad.

His 5H Aries Moon is Sagittarius decanate, Capricorn dwad.
My 3H Scorpio Moon is Cancer decanate, Leo dwad.

It's pretty damned incredible!

Between us, we have a dynamic interplay of Aries / Libra, Taurus / Scorpio, Gemini / Sagittarius, Cancer / Capricorn and Leo / Aquarius. There's some Virgo / Pisces going on - but this is JUST solar / lunar exchange.

So I highly suggest looking deeply into any complementariness which may be going on between your luminaries via sign, house, decanates and dwads.

... And that's not even bringing in the aspects!

(Hint: I'm a Sun-Pluto, with Sun parallel the Descendant. His Sun is parallel his Descendant and 8C. His Moon's tightest aspects are a sextile from Leo Venus and opposition to Libra Mars. The affinity just goes on and on and on ... )

It's what I find most fascinating about synastry.
