maybe because when someone cries, you see the raw emotions? you see the soul showing itself to the outside world?

Tell us more about your personal planets & what they are doing.

A little pain is alright. Anything more definitely points to something, I feel.

Sometimes, people confuse pain with passion. They are different.

Pluto? Scorpio?

"You don't know how much it hurts when you fall asleep in my arms~~ <insert the rest of the lyrics>" (somehow this song came into mind lol)

I have Pluto oppose Mars and square Jupiter, and a packed 8th house... I used to be into intense deep emotions, emotional pain, but as I grew up I realized what it truly means and I don't enjoy them anymore, specially on my loved ones. Now I only like them in media. :P Even so, it has to have a good story behind, to justify going through all the turbulence which can drain me pretty much after watching the whole thing (movie, series, whatever).
Soft SM is fine and fun, as long as there is no real pain, and no physical pain as well.

i really hate to see people distressed (moon-neptune) but the last few years have had a separate, intermittent experience of the reverse. which is very confusing to me because of the default being the opposite. i think my progressed chart has moon opp pluto. would this be it ...? i feel like i tip from pure nurturing to cruelty, harshness. in some ways though it feels a much more raw and real place of empathy with that perspective.

Do you like to inflict pain or is it that you like seeing others BE in pain?

If it's the latter, probably an afflicted Neptune or something, I'm thinking lack of empathy. If it's the former, it's probably something going on with Mars and Pluto or Mars and Saturn because it sounds like mild sadism to me.

My first guess is because you feel people in pain need you and might cling to you and/or you get a sense of power or righteousness out of saving someone. I've heard a few people have taken this to such an extreme that they engineer calamities just so they can save whoever they got into trouble in the first place.

On the heels of that was that you like seeing it because it makes you feel somehow superior to them, or at least not inferior. This second guess would mean sharing isn't something you do, it's pretty much all about the competition and you don't even date or make friends, you "test drive" to find means to an end (utility, sex, opportunity, allies against common foes which you'd fear if you caused or even took enjoyment in someone's suffering, etc).

This is based on the info you gave.

Btw, you might find this interesting (made to start at the relevant part):

Btw, I just recalled I know a Cancer sun (used to have his chart but I'm afraid I've lost it) who was big into saving those in trouble. It was a problem for him romantically because not only was he a counselor type (even did so professionally) but he ended up marrying some of the women he saved but as soon as she was "saved" then one or both lost interest. I've had to push him away gently when he's tried prying into my own emotional scars.

I don't think he "enjoys" it exactly but it does seem to give his life meaning. I suspect that it's in part because he has so many emotional scars of his own and diving into the pain of others helps him escape his own...though he does have genuine compassion and gets upset by all the injustice and brutality in the world.

Maybe because pain makes you feel more alive?

Do you have Moon/Pluto aspects?

It's very Plutonian/Scorpionic.

WOW, I thought I was the only one! I can actually relate...

The only major aspect to my Pluto is Sun square Pluto. Hanna mentioned the fourth and the eighth house and I do have Moon in the eighth/Mars in the fourth.

Everybody talks so dramatically about Moon-Pluto at this point I find it kinda humorous, we're always these emo dark vampires to people.

I have the two conjunct by about two degrees. Pain doesn't make me feel more alive...it just makes me ****** off. Like 'oh great I feel bad now I'm in physical pain, too'.

I think it's touching when someone you care about feelings comfortable crying with you... granted they aren't cry babies..

I'm not really an emotional person and not everyone has the power to hurt me.
Yeah it's painful and I don't think I'm a very pretty crier.
but You know it's nice to feel something once in a while... It makes you feel human and gives you life.

How they actually look

---

Some people feel like they can "connect" more with their loved ones when their loved ones are in a vulnerable state. They feel happy that they are able to offer comfort Idk, do you feel that way ? Hmm, I know someone who has quite a few personal planets in the 8th house who feels somewhat similar.

Everyone else have mentioned pluto, I agree with it.

I often feel uncomfortable when I see other people crying. But on some occasions I nearly laughed. It's like a nervous impulse... I feel pretty weird because of this.

i wish i knew jane, im just as confused about it. Normally i dislike easy women. I guess maybe cause when someone i love is in pain cause of me and thereafter pushes me away means that i then realise i have hurt them and in turn all i want to do is comfort her. Hmm i have never asked myself this before ..thank you jane
