Ceres is a watery planet, what influence does this have for Virgo, for the people that believe Ceres rules Virgo?

That's very interesting. I think if Ceres rules any sign it's Taurus. Although perhaps I should rethink that if they've found water? The problem is in mythology Ceres is such an earthy goddess so it's hard to see the asteroid ruling a water sign.

Rofl @ dat gif, Cappy!

Ceres is an asteroid, it doesn't rule a sign.
I don't really see the point in trying to find signs for asteroids... I'm quite happy with Venus ruling both Taurus and Libra and Mercury ruling both Gemini and Virgo. *shrug*

Better start ignoring Pluto, then. Ceres is much closer to Earth and was discovered in 1801; Pluto in 1930. Both are considered dwarf planets.

Not to mention that IMO it adds some much needed feminine energy to the balance...

I see Ceres as the equivalent of the Moon. But less powerful of course.

I am thinking NASA has big plans for Ceres and might be planning some mining and excavating.

I would choose Taurus for the ruler.

Makes sense since I see the moon as more of the grand empress and the primordial feminine principle. Pure yin lol I guess Ceres fits the mother archetype more .

Taurus usually have green thumbs so I'd agree.
Ceres is very well aspected in my chart. Maybe I am destined to be a farmer? I've always been drawn to flower arranging and I have a green thumb. I have access to family land but I don't live on it and my relatives have a house there. Maybe it is my destiny to go and grow strange crops there?

If any minor asteroids or planets rule Virgo, I would go with Vesta first thing. There is a definitive connection between Vesta and the sign Virgo.

Chiron is a way better fit than Ceres for Virgo, IMO.

But if Vulcan exists, you already know

If not Chiron, next would be Pallas, then Vesta, and then Ceres last.

I meant in astrological terms, not in astronomical terms.

In astrology, Pluto is a planet and Ceres and the co. are asteroids.

IDK I am okay with things as they are now, but if you wanna speculate, sure, why not.

I know, right?

Poor Taurus as well, though.

Think of it this way. Virgos are truly free

I don't think it containing water would have any astrological water element meaning to it.

Well, maybe half-free because of Mercury.

So they are like on probation or something, lol.

Everyone has their own ideas but I still think VESTA is absolute perfection for Virgo. She is very important, guardian of the sacred fire, and she is pure. Vesta is the connector between Earth and heaven (spirit) and is a divine incarnation of the Virgin Mary.

Well I wouldn't argue against Vesta, but Ceres I would for sure.
It's hardly anything like Virgo. (Ceres I mean)

I think people like the idea of Ceres being the ruler because it's the biggest.
