Ok so I'd love to hear input from the Aries influenced people here...I think Aries and Cap are the most "aggressive" of the cardinal signs, and I have to say Aries is pretty much the only Sun sign I'm kind of intimidated by.. (most of Aries falls in my 10th) But then again I like a challenge lol

It's definitely worked in friendships and to an extent romantically with a very watery Aries moon once, but I recently met an Aries Sun guy who is quite intriguing. He's very confident so it's a test of my own confidence for sure, but I think that's a good thing.. even though it might be just another dead end in my ridiculous love life (I've become somewhat of a serial dater at this point lol but I'd like for that to end). Anyway just wondering, any tips for dating an Aries? Some signs like to be all romantic and idealistic but I get that Aries isn't one of those signs, soooo it's best to show you're just as independent? Aries likes to chase but what keeps the interest going after that?

It depends on his chart...
Linda Goodman covered just about everything that could be said about a person based on their Sun sign alone.. I couldn't think of a better interpretation.

Post his chart, if you like... so people can give you a more in-depth interpretation

One thing though... I wouldn't say that they like to chase.
They like honesty.
So if you are honestly hard to get because it so happens that you are overseas or there are other challenges.. then the Aries person will like having to jump those hurdles to get to you.
But if they get a whiff off "I am insecure and playing hard to get - because I'm just an attention-seeking person"... they'll take the first exit.

As naive as Aries can be as a sign (because it is the first sign) they have very good instincts.. and they usually 'sense' false behaviour - such as the typical bs dating advice in the typical dating articles.

However - this is a general statement about *pure* Aries energy. His romantic style still depends on the rest of his chart.
Maybe an Aries man with an afflicted Mars in Pisces - might like games...

I would post his chart but honestly we met very recently through mutual friends and I tried slyly bringing up astrology and he said he's an Aries and left it at that and I haven't asked his actual birthday since then lol. It's a little soon but I really do like him. Never have I met someone who is so attractive and intelligent, and also likes traveling as much as I do (makes me think he has Sag in his chart but that's just a guess)

Aries men like the damsel in distress type. Obviously this does not apply to Aries women. But yeah, be a little helpless too along with showing him your independence, he likes to play the knight in shining armor thing - for a while.

On a serious note though, I have dated 3 aries ( my DSC ruler is in aries, so a lot of them get caught in my net) and I can only speak of these three. Also me, I know for a fact that no one can make us fall in love unless we are willing to, or we initially feel it in our core. We mostly believe in love at first sight, if there's no spark in the beginning, then most probably the relationship will stay in the platonic zone. Highly romantic ( they can do it better than Pisces or libra IMO) but also oblivious to your reactions. The type that wouldn't care what you feel or how you respond if they're in the mood to romance you, because they just want to get it out. One of them told me: " I can read others easily, but not you."I found it funny and amusing at the same time because we have been for almost a year and I was actually an exact mirror of him, only emotionally evolved. So they're that oblivious when in love. They lose a part of their logic and practicality and they don't seem to mind or get stressed over it.
About the chase, it's a misunderstood concept. You see, aries has so much pride, so they won't chase unless the relationship is challenging, or if the other party is worth it but not sure; so an aries will chase to "prove" they're worthy of what they want. They have to know you at least feel something for them, in order to chase.
They love smooth fights. It's our way to flirt. I find it very stimulating in every level.
Being clingy, pessimist and overly sweet/sensitive is a big no.
Disclaimer: this doesn't represent all aries on planet earth.
I remember you had a sag moon, I think you have no problems in being emotionally independent, which is a big yes.

I'm an Aries Sun/Moon/Venus/Mercury/BML, with Sun square Neptune and the rest trine Sag Uranus. Aries stellium is in the 8th house, then I have Pisces DC, Taurus Mars in the 9th oppose Scorpio Pluto, and these are aspecting my DC.

I am idealistic, and I like some chase too. BUT I'm not into games or manipulation, or hard chases. You are either into me, and me into you, or we are not.
Basically, if you are assertive/confident/honest, the silent type that is not noisy, sensitive (Pisces DC), and serious and intense (you are either into me or not), then I'm happy.

Also, if you are expressive type then it'd be great. I'm expressive type myself, so a guy that is expressive in terms of words and affections, as well as actions, is nice.

Another thing - one of the things I like in others is the confidence to speak what they want or need. If I ask you where you'd like to eat, then please say what you want, instead of "whatever you'd want". I NEED to know what you want, and I don't read minds! I can be assertive, but I try to be considerate as well and I need to understand what my partner needs, as I need this relationship to be balanced (Libra Juno).

Thank you guys I appreciate all of your responses, I'm learning a lot! And I'm starting to think I had it all wrong going after Cancers or even Libra guys, Aries is the real thing lol

@Hera, that makes a lot of sense, and I actually could use a knight in shining armor these days lol but it's not like I'm eternally helpless so hopefully there will be a good balance...

@vickymadness, thanks that clarifies a lot! I understand what you mean about "smooth fights" and that they'll chase to prove they're worthy of what they want but there has to be a mutual spark from the beginning. Humor is a good tip too. I can't stand dates that are too serious or people who can't appreciate when things are funny so that's actually perfect... Also I hope things are still going well with your Aries!!

@AriesLilith, I like what you're saying about being straightforward. As a Cancer Asc I can come off as timid or indecisive, but I like when I know I can be assertive and it will actually be appreciated. Like he wants to hang out this weekend, and instead of being awkward about it or just trying to make all the plans he asked where I wanted to go and it was all very simple and I was straightforward too which was great lol

@beckylee, yes, he seems to have a ton of energy. He likes traveling but also apparently strenuous hikes/rock climbing etc. which I probably wouldn't organize on my own but I'm more than willing to do those sorts of things if there is someone else interested in it and there to help motivate me with their own ambition lol

Idk It seem like I attract the most when Im being outrageous they sort of just swoop in and wonder whats going on here..

Last aries I attracted I was drunk and rolling down a hill and lo and behold I see a shiny new aries right above me.
and preceded to compliment my bum as it was hanging out -___-.

Oh wait I realized aries is my second most dominant sign.

This has me written all over it. I'm dating a Capricorn guy and want to know how to keep his interest! I mean, he's super sweet and he's my boyfriend but you know. I want to be able to connect with him as powerfully on other levels as we do physically.

Anyway.

Something that will have an Aries interest is if you can keep up with them every step in the way. Capricorns like taking their time. They tend to like saying "No, no, not yet… okay, now." And quite often their sense of timing is right. However. If that was to me… he does feel comfortable with me! Super fast! He tells me that all the time, and it makes me happy. For some reason I'm insecure around him but maybe I'm picking up the shadow side of Capricorn since I have the squares in my own chart? He has a Sag moon too, so that hits all my Aries placements, and I have my Taurus moon. Sun trine Moon and Venus double whammy is nice. I get irritated when I can't physically be around him or touch him, lol.

It could be like I mentioned that aries will look up to capricorn.

You'll feel as if you lack a lot of his qualities however he can truly understand you. Capricorn can sort of see himself in aries and understand however aries is much more innocent.

Also question do you feel at home with Cancers Aries?
As you can be yourself around them?

I had a 3 year relationship with an Aries man (I'm Virgo) and I'd say what would keep his interest if you are confident, self-assured,with a good sense of humour, keep things light and fun when necessary but also cater to his boyish side (because he will probably have one under that tough confident exterior!). My Aries relationship was probably the most down to earth and funny I ever had. Good luck!
