It's not exactly BS (i have not read the book). What if I tell you it's the truth? The only bad thing here is someone had to put the simple truth into a book form to milk money out of it. And the direction has gone wrong if you are doing things like wishing for a new car.

It is really more meaningful if you can learn about it on your own than from getting it off a book.

I read it a year ago.. it didn't do much for me... it actually made me lazy, thinking that the universe would manifest for me.

What I do believe is that when you figure out what you want, you will start seeing it around you because you actually know what you're looking for.
I don't believe some higher power put it there, I believe it was there all along you just didn't see it because you didn't know what you were looking for.

positive thinking alone isn't going to get you anywere, you have to take action.
I really believe that it's us that has the power to create these things & not some higher power.

I read this article last week on manifesting and she also mentions the secret in it.. http://alicegreczyn.wordpress.com/2013/09/14/debunking-manifestation/

I've found reading one book with this theme doesn't do much for moving you or helping you understand how to actually make it work!

You read one, you need to continue reading more, they all have similar themes but put it in different terms so that each might touch your heart in unique way and after awhile it really start to make sense and you start to better understand how to become a person that can do this, effectively in your life!

I haven't read it but I think I have heard what it's about and I believe in the concept. If I believe in anything it's this concept. My life will dramatically change when I remember it. Maybe not dramatically for other peoples point of view - but when you truly believe positive things. It works.

It's easy to slip out of. But it's worth it to go back. I could go on and on but it seems like Doux has the same understanding for this I do and summed everything up nicely.

Well watching the documentary online will save you time. And it's one if the most deftly crafted piece of crap I've ever seen.

One reason I believe it could be true (However haven't consciously practiced it or anything) is because something like that happened to me once. I got really mad at a friend for being late to the place we were supposed to meet up in, so I left the place, as I start crossing the street, I'm thinking about how angry I am, and really I was furious, however I'm still watching the cars, when all of a sudden this car is going at full speed, I don't stop thinking the car has clearly seen me and should stop soon, but they don't so I stop walking and the car stops right in front of me (about half a foot), lady pops her head out the window and says "Sorry!!" - I don't know why but I felt my anger had caused that for some reason - though it's stupid so yeahh lol.

I feel like this is somehow related to astrology in the way we attract certain energies due to certain planets etc, that's just a thought though

It works without a shadow of a doubt the key is believing and in this day and age we're programmed to believe that everything good only comes sometimes and if it does it takes hard work. This is not the case you just have to believe that you are worthy and deserving of all the good that God/Universe has to offer. After all, you are worthy and deserving of it. Go to The Secret website and read the secret stories. They consist of every day people that are giving there testimonies. Believe...for as a man believe in his heart so is he.

i wonder if that is the video i saw.

anyway, isn't this just another version of 'creative visualization'? if u are interested in 'the secret' perhaps u might be interested in Creative Visualization which was 'developed' back in the late 1800's early 1900's and is based on Hindu practices. Start with Wikipedia.

I need to add my 2 cents...
Ok "the Secret" may seem like BS, and the way is sensationalized makes it seem like some sort of crazy magical power. The truth is that it works. Let me explain, I have a ton of sag and my natural style is to be super positive (yes, I know I sometimes annoy people- I can't help it.) I have always found the silver lining to every challenge that has come my way and I have grown. With that growth many amazing opportunities have come my way and it feels like synchronicity. (hence the LuckyStar) So the message in "the secret" is valid however the delivery needs to be worked on.
