You're going to put the energy of that planet "right out there", as well as the energy of the sign. So, having a Virgo Moon in the 1st house will mean that you will come off as very Lunar as well as very Virgoan. This is in a very straightforward, almost unfiltered way, like Aries. But, I don't think that it's going to make you Aries-like. More than any other house, the planet and the sign have the final say-so in the 1st house because it's all about identify. So, you'll identify strongly with those energies.
It does make you lunar like but the aries energy is definately going to surface in how you express yourself but you wont have an aries like personality unless you have more fire in your chart, you dont have to have an aries personality to have the energy but its there and the moon is very important in your chart and i can see how my aquarius moon is influenced from the aries especially in my drive for things im known for always going for what i want as soon as i want it and sometimes i can do things very impulsive which is against my strategic thinking aquarius moon even sometimes if i get into a heated arguement i can get really hot headed and lose my train of thought and just say whatever comes to me first without thinking at all and thats deffinatly against my aquarius moon , i think people should give more credit to the aries energy being within you if you have important planets in the first i played with the walter pullen chart again this time and got mars in the first house and that gave 4% to the power of aries from the chart and when i put the moon in the first house it was 8% i think people never attribute someone having arian energy in the first because they seem like they are caring and lunar like and not all in your face that doesnt mean they dont have aries that just means they direct that energy in a different way than you could see but its definately influencing you IP: Logged |

I am so glad I came across this topic. 😊 My Leo Moon is in the 1st house and I am not Cancerian-like AT ALL. In fact, I totally act like an Aries Moon, even though the Leo influence is significant too. So in my opinion planets in the 1st house = Aries influence, just like let's say North Node in the 5th house is quite similar to North Node in Leo. IP: Logged |

My sister has Moon in Cancer in 1st house conjunct Asc.I think it matters if the planet closely conjuncts the Asc point for the effect to be strong. Also, when you have two planets conjunct the Asc point, the "joint" energy of those planets manifests in the 1st house. The "Arian" quality is the honest and exuberance of that energy concerned. So Moon in 1st may seem "Arian". And this because there is an urgency in expressing the feelings one feels- almost immediately. If the Moon in 1st is conjunct/square a more reserved planet (say Saturn), the energy of Moon/Saturn relationship is carried to the 1st. Here you may find someone who builds themselves to look externally strong(Saturn) in order to protect that which is within(Moon). Its not that Moon/Saturn is unemotional at all. It just doesn't like to make a fuss of emotions and would much rather prefer "productive" outcome to them. So you may see someone who looks very together(Saturn), but attracts female affection- because they appear(at the same time) vulnerable, emotional and receptive(Moon). IP: Logged |

I have my Cancer moon in my 1st house, conjunct my ASC.For me, I think it makes my moon very strong and obvious. I am pretty moody and emotional. It is very difficult to hide how I am feeling. The only way I see an Arian influence is that it is very 'in your face' towards others. IP: Logged |

I would you say you'd express you're emotions and conscious mind in an arian way, and you'd be very emotionally reactive to your immediate enviroment.Imo it would be like 60-40 on Cancer-Aries IP: Logged |

SO I have Venus, Sun, and Lilith in the first and honestly I don't feel very Arian at all. I think what happens is the characteristics of the Planet Ruler are projected in Aries related things. For example, Venus and Sun in the 1st makes me act very Libran/Leo-like when it comes to ME since that is an Arian topic. I am both accommodating and graceful yet dignified and queenly lol. That's been my experience b/c I'm not Arian at all despite a full first house so it must be that.IP: Logged |

Having some planet in 1st house will give you the traits of that planet. The 1st house is not like the other houses. That's the reason why this happen. Because if you have moon in 5th house you also will identify yourself with Leo moon. For example. But is not the same with the 1st house.I totally understand if someone says "I don't identify with that". I have moon in Cancer and I'm not like that at all. IP: Logged |
