When someone is born during a retrograde what kind of effect will that have? Do they "suffer" retrogrades when they happen?I'm particularly curious about the mercury and venus retrograde born IP: Logged |

I have mercury retrograde. I can't tell you what it means technically, but I have a difficult time communicating verbally. Writing I am fine and there is nothing wrong with my intelligence, but I can't speak in front of large groups and sometimes even in small groups and one on one I have trouble. I get nervous and I muddle my words at times. I think people overlook it because I have a jovial nature, but I definitely steer clear of jobs or situations where I have to speak in front of large groups. I also have Chiron retrograde and I have heard this also causes the same thing so it is a double whammy. IP: Logged |

I've read somewhere that retrograde planets just turn their energy "inwards", so if they have merc retro they may think a lot, may go back n forth, mulling over ideas before they speak.I have merc retro and I hold very few beliefs. I'm talkative but with topics that I haven't yet gathered enough information, chances are that I'd stay quiet. Apart from stuttering (when I'm really excited I start to stutter), my learning, speaking and writing abilities are fine. Hmm, there's one thing, I understand/learn things quickly, but I forget things quite quickly too. It happens when I learn new languages lol I don't "suffer" merc retro (I think). IP: Logged |

I know one person that has retro mercury and retro venus. This past venus retrograde was a "great time" and "went too fast" (I am quoting when I asked for information on how he felt during the time frame of the last retro venus). This retro mercury, not so much "suffering" minus a parking ticket. IP: Logged |

They say that if you are born with one, you have an easier time with it in Transit.I have not found this to be the case. Both my son and my ex-husband went through the mill every time it came around, both were born with the Mercury Retrograde. They are both obsessed with anything that has wheels. I have had a rough time with this one, it is Conjunct my South Node. Wasn't born with one, though. IP: Logged |

I'm sorry.Maybe it will improve at the end of the week. That's the way it usually happens. You have an Intercepted Sign, and the Vertex Axis in that area. IP: Logged |

My s.o had mercury retro in Pisces. He only use to lean in towards you to speak. so cute and I use to be distracted by the cologne. But he didn't seem flustered or awkward but just very inward and observant mercury trines Pluto sextiles Uranus and Neptune. Like he would randomly smirk and point to randomness going in the city. Omgggg that smirk thou. I use to crack jokes or say naughty things and my friends would be omgggggg lololololol that is glorious. He would just have a slight smirk. IP: Logged |

My natal mercury is retrograde and I'm somewhat quiet. Like I don't talk that much... so maybe that has to do with the turning inward portion?------------------ " Yesterday is history. Same here. - Can relate to fauxcoat & muddy. I am not very good at expressing myself verbally. Much better at writing. Sometimes I stumble over words, especially when I'm emotional - I must look so funny when I get angry because I keep stuttering and that makes me even more angry, and then it's like I'm angry at myself in addition to being angry, so I end up looking like a complete retard, lol (which could explain why I don't like getting angry much). When I make the effort to actually *think*, my thoughts are usually structured and clear. But when it comes to talking about them... I feel awkward sometimes because I don't want to bore people or come across as a "slow" person but I feel like that's exactly what happens, sometimes. Which in turn makes me feel insecure so I stay quiet or only say what's necessary. The ruler of my 3rd house is afflicted though so I'm sure that has a lot do with it.

Yup this, sometimes my words come out reversed like they do when you type too fast and then you read it back and it says End. The - that's what I tend to do, and it makes me really self-conscious sometimes because I feel like it often nullifies my intellectual argument. I can only speak in front of large groups when it's unscripted and I'm passionate about the topic, and writing comes a lot easier to me than speaking.
