I'd like to know if you have Mercury/Neptune contacts and if you're good at maths.
I have the sextile, and when I'm able to finish an exercise, there is absolutely no way for me to do it again (I'm too intuition-driven and imprecise).

Hm, weird...considering our charts are so similar.

I have Mercury sextile Neptune, with all sorts of afflictions to my Neptune and Pisces Sun, but I'm good at math and I enjoy it.

But when it comes to things like Physics, I really (REALLY) suck. So if it becomes too advanced, I'm out of the game.

But when it comes to things like fractions and algebra, I actually enjoy it. Possibly the Virgo Moon.
But yeah, no calculus or anything, please. Too lengthy and I get bored and annoyed.

And although it's been a while since I've had to practice much of it other than fractions and decimals (which I do use in everyday life), I remember a lot of it.

Mercury/Sun/Neptune conjunct, neptune on 3 rd cusp....excellent at math if I relax and allow the answers to come to me without over thinking it!!
I'm better at the hard stuff than what most consider to be the easy stuff....I think I tend to look to big picture and miss the simple things because of this aspect.
It can make me look retarded but when you start getting into the really hard things that relate to science and formulas...I'm in heaven!!
I've taken aptitude tests that say I should be an engineer or physicist....even a code cracker type job would fit my brain very well, I look for and need to see a fluid motion in information or else I cant digest it.

Edit...Pallas plays a part in figuring things out, it relates to patterns and math is a pattern!

I have Mercury square Neptune and opposite Saturn and I'm very good at it. There were times when I'd let go of an exercise, only to have the solution two days later out of the blue, like in the shower

I have Mercury quincunx Neptune and I was good at math back when I was in school although it was never my best subject. I was stronger in most of my other classes. Still, I somehow made it through calculus. But since I vastly prefer the humanities to anything involving science or math I haven't taken a math class in years.

Mercury trine Neptune - I'm alright at math (once I get the hang of it) - but I'm terribly slow (Taurus Mercury).

I do agree with Neptune making math more of an intuitive and spiritual act rather than a more Saturn-anian factly and strict approach regarding steps etc. With Neptune, the steps come as you go. The problem basically solves on its own LOL. Also with Neptune, I feel like sometimes the answer comes right to you without much thinking when you're thinking "high" enough.

EDIT: I clearly don't know my chart LOL, I have Mercury SQUARE Neptune.

I think anyone with Neptune conjunct Merc or 3rd house would have a much easier time learning if they were to listen to recordings or books while meditating or sleeping.
Allowing their subconscious mind to absorb information without the issue of the conscious mind trying to regulate how the information is absorbed and where it goes or how it fits in. Neptune is much bigger than our conscious minds can grasp...it gets in the way and can stifle learning when you have these kinds of aspects!

Can someone please tell me how the relation between Mercury and Neptune relates to good or bad math skills?

I have a semi-sextile between them, with Mercury in the 6th house in Aquarius, and Neptune in the 5th in Capricorn.

I was best in my small class in high school and middle school. I'm not good with simple math, but I grasped algebra and calculus very well. I haven't done any math in ages, though. I plan on going to medical school, so some math skills will be required, and I think if I found out it's in my chart that I'd be good at sciences and mathematics, it would boost my confidence.

But what do my placements say about my ability in math?

Mercury Trine Neptune.
Grades were never GREAT, but I have a BA in Computer Science and a Math Minor and an MS in Information Systems.

My problem is the algebra. I can integrate dx dy dz. ask me to simplify and I come up with something that looks like a wingdings

That's so cool!! I love Einstein!!! I didn't realize he had that aspect, I have an exact trine between Merc /Sat
Merc saggy@3.32/Sun saggy@4.28
Saturn leo@2.50

Asteroid Einstein is on my AC by 2 degrees and exact on my Pluto.
Einstein has always been one of my favorite ppl, I love reading about him, his life and his theories!
Our dog is named Einstein(he has crazy hair that looks like Einsteins) my daughter loves him to, she has pictures of Einstein(both the dog & the man) all over her room!
