Are Scorpios superhuman? I don't think they are. Why do we treat them with so much care as to not offend them based on some article some idiot wrote about the? Surely they couldn't enjoy this type of prejudging on their part.

I read a lot of things on each zodiac sign. At the same time, I start to realize they are all just humans and this astrology analysis is at the most basic level. Even worse, it can be biased and peppered with personal stories about how this Scorpio did this, and oh, that one did that. I feel like astrology is being watered down and has been on this decline for so long.

I am very much into occult things, I like them, I read a lot about them. Astrology used to be grouped with these mystical occult things. To me, these are fascinating. Astrology these days has gotten further and further away from what it once was. I can't relate to these overblown generalizations. If I were born 1,000 years ago I feel like I would fit right in with the astrologers of the time.

Scorpios have gotten the worst treatment with these so called ''Astrologers'' using their PERSONAL BIAS and demeaning this sign again and again. People, it's important for us to not get carried away, not getting so swept away with our own hurts and bias that we really perpetuate hate and a negative reputation. You know, if people never read this stuff about Scorpios they would not act like they do around them.

It's almost like fear mongering and I'm sick of it.

I had to get this off my chest. Please do give me your thoughts on this.

I agree, but a lot of these generalisations are based on sun signs of course. Horoscopes in magazines and such are based on sun signs because people can easily work out their sun sign and the sun moves through the zodiac at a constant pace, so it doesn't change much.
Astrologers going by just the sun sign basically make it the ascendant and then see where all the planets fall during the transits or whatever. Its all very general because astrologers have to write for everyone.
And of course, when people are learning astrology, they have to go with the basic generalisations to get a feel for it, until they learn that its all much more than a planet in a sign.

But yeah, when people start boo-ing certain signs for this that and the other, its annoying and we should remember that everyone has their own natal chart. And even if two people have the same natal chart due to being born on the same day at the same time, environment will come in to play which will give certain differences between the two people with the same natal charts.

ALSO, people express placements differently don't they. Signs and planets represent certain stuff, sure, but they end up representing different stuff for different people.

Oh god, I hope I didn't go off topic. I agree that generalising is annoying and we shouldn't do it, but people do. We do with everything, its a psychology thing, its how we pre-determine things.

So, um, turtles.

I agree, people shouldn't get carried away by generalizations..

IMO water signs are negatively stereotyped in general (am a water sign, however, so this opinion is biased too ). Many articles are very sweeping. After discovering rising signs, am beginning to realise that there're so many factors that make up one's personality, and such articles can be rather shallow, so no point in reading them. Take heart!

Yeah, tbf, I always read stuff on Taurus and its always the same- stubborn, lazy but hard-working when they want to, sensual, placid but have a temper etc. Oh, and afraid of change.

Its so annoying since some of it just isn't true. We're also seen as boring as well.

I'm just think, you should get to know people properly before judging on the sign. There'll always be differences, like I said, so its futile using one sign or placement. Which makes me think, how can we know if one aspect/sign/placement is responsible for certain actions and behaviour?
I'm not dissing astrology, I just wonder how its done like that.

I suppose "proper" astrology interpretations work by weaving it all together instead of picking it to pieces separately....hmmmm....
