Rainier which is basically an inactive volcano that will become active again one day. The point is nobody is spared from natural disasters. I'd much rather deal with an earthquake though, at least if you're standing in an open field and the earth shakes you're good...unless of course the ground opens up..which I highly doubt will happen unless it was like a magnitude 12 or some craziness lol
Agreed. My EQ plan is always to run outside into an open area, they always tell you to stay put but when you live on the 5th floor of a ten story building that doesn't really help your case much, if the building went we'd all be goners lol IP: Logged |

I am just throwing this out there. The day I left Alaska 11/2/02 we experienced an earthquake that felt like it was rolling underneath our feet. My now ex fiance's mother said the quake felt like warning quake before the 1964 earthquake that destroyed Anchorage. On 11/3/02 there was. 6.9 quake in Denali National Forest. Rollinng quakes are a warning.------------------ Claire "When going gets weird, the weird turn pro." -HST IP: Logged |

Yeah tsunami warning was issued too.My first earthquake was in Colombia. Visiting family. It was intense. Second was in Los angeles. Was light. 3rd was in nyc a few years ago. It was scary. Floor felt like jelly. I was on the first floor and felt like the floor was going to cave into the basement. People made fun of new yorkers. They thought we exaggerated but it had struck the whole east coast. Epicenter was in Virginia. It was felt in up to toronto canada and parts of ohio as well.
We are on flat sea bed rocks. No mountains to block out crap.
My sister was in a sky scraper in Manhattan at work. Her co worker was telling her sister on the phone that she felt shaking and a spirit must be near. They were talking about hauntings.
My sister was like ummm everything is shaking lol!!! IP: Logged |
