I think it has to do with their insecurity more than curiosity.

Some people can be private but not be paranoid about it. I suspect you may be a bit? Maybe your deliberate avoidance or shying away from these people is coming across as sort of passive-aggressive or aloof and that's why they talk.

I'm not trying to insult you here or anything as I'm sure you're a very nice person but when someone hides away deliberately and comes across as secretive then it often makes people curious. How do you get to hear that people talk about you anyway if you ARE so private?

There are other variables in my chart that attract people to me. When they come to me, they experience a version of my 8th house:
1) aloof and secretive (because no one else wants the real 8th house experience). So, there's gossip about what's beneath the exterior.
2) in depth 8th house
A) comfortable with my sexuality beyond most limits. But people mistake my comfort level for "easy," "hooking up" etc. Results in major gossip. Picking a boyfriend is serious business to me.
B) intense and desiring a deeper bond. This spooks some people and so, results in chatter, even if I'm not interested in them.
C) Psychological fascination, interest in astrology, etc. No one expects that from me. Ensuing gossip.
D) that Scorpio stare. Men think I'm ready to roll and women think I'm ready to kill someone. Honestly, I'm usually just thinking, focusing on the other person or squinting in the sun. Idk why they gossip about this. I'm squinting! In the sun! Lol yea.

Idk about you, Fauxcoat, but it's only recently that I've become comfortable telling people my favorite books (about strategy, psychology or astrology) and music (shows my inner thoughts). Because they reveal soooo much about me. I might as well be stripping in public.

So yea, aloofness + random peeks into 8th house topics = other people hyper curious, gossipy.

I enjoy peoples curiosity about me most when I can influence it subtly and intentionally. There's massive power in it. And it's so much fun! I'm out of practice.
