Hi Tgem,
The nature, manifestations, and implications of this aspect (as with any aspect) depends on its unique position (in sign and house) and configurations in relation to other planets, aspects and signs. It's hard to read the nature of a particular planet or aspect without integrating its full context with one's personality and entire horoscope.
For demonstrative purposes, I'll provide an illustration of my oldest sister's horoscope since she has a Pluto conjunct Moon (I've calculated the horoscopes of my family members).
Her astrological signatures include: a Leo Sun, Scorpio Ascendant, Leo MC, and Virgo Moon--with Moon conjunct Pluto in Virgo in the 10th house. Neptune is in her first house and Pluto is contraparallel her Mars (in Gemini) and closely parallel her MC (in declination).
She has a commanding, magnetic personality and her Leo sign really stands out (through her Leo MC with Mercury, Uranus, Sun in Leo in addition to Moon and Pluto in the 10th house). Her Pluto and Moon in the sign Virgo comes through in her personality as she's very particular about a lot of things. There's also a purity of being about her as she did not have sex until she married her husband at age 26. She has a VERY STRONG sense of right and wrong, her mind is super fast/perceptive (Mercury conjunct Uranus), nothing gets past her, she can easily read people's characters, and can be super critical of others. Yet, she is also one of the most generous people I know and typically goes all out of her way to help family, friends, and others--until someone betrays or backstabs her after she's gone all out for him or her. Then, her anger knows no bounds and she's relentlessly unforgiving and can be vengeful with an extremely forceful anger and guttural, stinging, piercing tongue lashing.
Just to be clear, the part about her being unforgiving is due to her Scorpio ASC (and Pluto contraparallel Mars)--not to having a Pluto-Moon conjunction (although the Virgo traits DO play a role and come through in her personality).
Another area where her Pluto conjunct Moon comes through is in her personal involvement and career in education. Pluto-Moon conjunction in the 10th house coincides with and rule her ASC and 9th house cusp Cancer. She worked for 15-years with elementary school children, then as an assistant principal, principal, and adjunct professor at a college. She's always had a close relationship with children (Pisces on 5th house cusp with Neptune in first--association with children). She even has a child-like, idealized, Pollyanna sense of life (Neptune in first) and is an extraordinary decorator and event planner: she has the ability to transform homes into beautiful, almost magical environments.
So, the unique nature and expression of my sister's Pluto conjunct Moon has been given but in its wider context and association with other areas of her chart. Since Pluto co-rules her Scorpio ASC, it played a greater role in her temperament with Virgo coming through a lot as well--the location of Pluto and Moon in her chart. (Mars in Gemini comes through as well when she expresses a sharp tongue, when provoked.)
You can take the fundamental principles of this interpretation and apply them to your own unique Pluto-Moon conjunction, placement, and configuration to other indicators in your horoscope.
Hope this helps.
Oh...almost forgot and wanted to also mention about her marriage, for those who might have questions about an empty seventh house.
Taurus is her DSC, with Venus (also in Virgo) in her 11th house trine Saturn, and the Sun and Neptune aligned with her ASC/DSC axis in declination. She's been married since 1986 but knew her husband since 1982. He's 12-years older than her, but they are the very best of friends and completely in sync with one another mentally and emotionally. They have conversations like best friends daily. Her husband has a Libra Sun (a mate ruled by Venus--as indicated by her Taurus DSC), Pisces Moon (Neptune on her ASC/DSC in declination), and prominent Sun (Sun on her DSC/ASC axis).
