Maybe.
My 5th house is empty.
I honestly think I'll pull an Angelina and adopt a bunch of kids when i'm like 40 instead of getting cats.

Cause I feel by the time im 40 i'll be bored of what I have been doing when I was in my 20's.

I've always wanted to adopt but the older I get the more sure I am that it's the right decision. There are so many babies in the world already. I think it's because I have Virgo on the cusp of the 5th. I don't have Neptune or any other planets there.

My 5th HR is in Leo in the 3rd conjunct my Moon and my IC. I think the conjunctions are what makes me want kids so bad. Plus I also have a Cancer Sun. I can relate to not wanting to destroy your body, not having to do that is definitely a perk of adoption. I'm not sure I like the idea of another person growing inside of me honestly. Also, I feel crappy a lot of the time anyway, pregnancy would be miserable. I figure why go through it when sadly there are so many kids that need homes?

I am interested in adopting, I would love to adapt a child from Africa.

The ruler of my 5th is Mars and I have Mars in the 9th house. I like the idea of having a baby that does not share my own cultural or ethnic background.

Liking the idea of adoption doesn't equal wanting to do it. Besides, I didn't only mean adopting humans. You can adopt a pet too. This is what I intend to do someday.

I'd imagine having the ruler of the 5th in the 12th might do it. Although the rules state that this placement causes the loss of things the native creates. So biological children being a creation of the native of sorts may die or suffer. The native suffers on account of children. Having the ruler of the 5th in the 12th might also snuff out any desire to create a biological child thereby making the person adopt instead.

Rahu in the 5th is said to cause a desire for adoption. I've heard A. Jolie has this but I haven't checked myself. I know a lot of teachers who have this placement so I think being a teacher to many children fulfills the adoption need of the native.

I have Moon conj Neptune there and I always wanted to adopt. I haven't done it because professionally I do not have a permanent contract and recently decided to relocate so.. not the best idea right now. But some day, yeah. I could live without a man but not without kids (or PETS!! , ideally both lol)

I also have NN in the 5th.
