Do you think this is common with Pisces rising or strong Pisces in general, to act and appear innocent, but really just a manipulator at heart? Very shady and blurred intentions from these types from my experience.IP: Logged |

Oh my mom's a Pisces rising. The fact that our ascendants are square makes my life difficult. Yes, she is manipulative, but in a forceful way and you can directly see it. I attribute this to her Mars in Aries. Everyone she knows thinks she's very angelic, sweet, and charming. Well, she works hard for us and all and she wants the best for us, but she can tend to be a dictator. And she's not real nice at home as she is in the outer world. I get along with her, though, thanks to her Gemini Sun. Mostly, the misunderstandings come from squares and oppositions--Virgo Mercury and Gemini Mercury, Mars in Libra and Mars in Aries, Pisces Rising and Gemini rising, and maybe an inconjunct Scorpio Moon (28deg) and Cancer Moon.

Not in my experience. My mom is a pisces sun/venus/asc. She can be terrifying, but not shady. She's straight forward about her intentions. IP: Logged |

I have a Pisces ascendant.

Yup i have seen it with a pisces sun/pisces rising.Lying about dying from cancer just to get pity from people. Lives her life manipulating illegal mexican men who fall easily into her trap because she is a blonde just to get money too.
Her 3 kids were taken away from her 3 years ago. She fake cries and wanrs people to pity her. They gave her so many chances to get them back but shes lazy.

I was "just" 3 times in my life badly deceived from two who I considered as my true, dear friends and from the erst best -friend of my mum which is now deceased.
All of those 3 lied, pretended to be to most reliable and sweet people in the universe to then turn to the most ruthless humans I ever met in my life.
They stolen from me and defrauded me in the worst humanly possible way..
One of them was living for a while ( 5 month) at my place, I gave her shelter and food cos she did not have where to go. She then left without good bye ( only sms) taking some of my dearest belongings with her, telling me that she was actually in love with my lover ( that was the reason why she asked for the shelter at my home in the first place) and that she wanted him for herself. Eventually, after she understood that there is no chance cos he is way to much in to me to even see her, she decided to go. Message with that text was the last I ever heard from her and I was so shocked !, I never even thought that she might like that man or do such thing to me....nightmare. To cut it short all of them were Pisces Sun and since my experience with them I run when I just hear P from Pisces ..Some astrologers say it is the last sign in astrology cos it got all the rubbish no other sign wanted...I kinda agree. With Pisces it's more about they want to be nice and loving but it clashes with reality so they realize it's either eat or be eaten. That's why they manipulate situations. IP: Logged |

Speaking for myself, I have Pisces moon and Asc. I don't TRY to look vulnerable, in fact the only expression I try to make in public is the Poker face because I'm always emotional. But that's nearly impossible for a triple water, plus it doesn't help that I have Sun trine ASC exact. I constantly have random ppl come up to me and say "What's wrong?" or "Cheer up" or "Smile!" Because I can't hide how I'm feeling. If it were up to me I'd be another face in the crowd. Lol

Pisces is opposite of Virgo.They have no set moral compass, they're free spirits not really bound by social conventions. they seem to either be misguided or lost so they make many mistakes, even ones seem easy to avoid. They usually don't mean to cause harm but if they are lazy and will take bunch of shortcuts which may cause chaos for those around them.
Yeah they can screw over people too but that really depends if they have earth/air energy going too, IP: Logged |

Damn, I dont like that Sun sign ..In my opinion they all should be first sanded to the exorcist ( straight after the birth) before the humanity gets to deal with them. But people always get sensitive about signs even though they only have a few planets or less in them. Unless you have a stellium you're not entirely a representative of that sign..
I actually know people with 4 to five planets including their sun and their asc in pisces which are clear representatives of Pisces  The fact is pisces is opposite of virgo and virgo puts prime importance on purity and strict morality while pisces sees morality as relative. Everyone has natal chart with planets in various signs so yeah.
Not every pisces is going to have pisces traits. I believe your a scorpio so that changes things up since it's a no nonsense sign. But just to ask what is pisces like to you?

I think People can use there ASC in manipulative ways, but at the end of the day it's societies standards that perceive ppl as one way w/ out getting to know there inner core (Desc) first.For ex, how do ppl generally view a guy with dreads locks, baggy clothes, gold teeth/jewelry. Not someone they want to walk up to and shake hands with.

ASC is more than just a “mask” . Can Pisces ASC manipulate people ? well they definitely can. Most of the time, people are being manipulated in subtle ways which they don’t really notice. It depends upon whether Pisces ASC chooses to play the game or not.IP: Logged |

ASC has a special relationship with the sun (self) through the ascending degree. So it is connected to the sun in this way. It's kind of like an extension of the sun sign.

I think a better term is Misinterpret, rather than deceive. Deceiving is purposely taking advantage of someone in order to gain something from them. When a person perceives a Pisces Asc as being shy and innocent without getting to know them doesn't mean the Pisces Asc deceived them in any way. Same for Neptune aspects. It's never wise to judge a book by any Ascendent. Get to know the person's inner core (Desc) instead of making assumptions of who they are by the mask (Asc). Moonfish, the term 'misinterpret is not ok IMO, because it implies there is a right way to interpret which there is not when Neptune is concerned, it eludes interpretation. You can also say "My eyes deceived me" or "He is deceiving himself", the process of deceiving is not always done in purpose.As for the title thread (and any thread for that matter), it goes without saying that all that is said on astrology forums is always general. Otherwise it would not be possible to talk at all, as there are always a million exceptions and many other complicated matters to consider in astrology. So, yes, Pisces can be a very misleading sign and I don't always trust the spoken word of those Pisces people I have in my life. IP: Logged |

Again, I'm going to agree to disagree. Because in my opinion you can misinterpret someone by there ASC. It doesn't function the same way planets do. It's how one "appears" to the public, the External self, not necessarily who they really are internally. Sun conjunct Neptune is different from Neptune conjunct ASC. A person can have Gemini Asc, projecting themselves as a happy go lucky person but within the planets be heavily influenced by Pluto. Truly making that person someone who does not contain the Gemini qualities that there ASC projected. You may have met a lot of ppl with pisces influences but until you've met every single one in the world I still don't think it's right to put them (us) into one box. Natal charts are too complex to generalize one sign. IP: Logged |
