The most impacting relationships I've had [good and bad], held an Aqua Moon or an Aqua Venus and even a combination of the two.
But when I focus on the two guys that hold that Aqua Venus, the very common denominator is the lack of word play. These guys speak/write with minimal dialogue and it drives me crazy. This is all that I am -Sun/Merc/Venus in 3H. While I can be understanding as an Aqua Sun with the subtle detachment factor at times, I still get a bit trippy on the lack of expression verbally from these guys.

Wow.. Well this is odd.
I've had the exact opposite experience. I have never had a guy write to me as much as the Venus in Aqua guy who is in my life right now. I pasted his last email in word and it was 2500w! Seriously.My dad is an Aquarius with Moon, Venus and Mars all in Aqua - and his Venus is even retrograde.. and he still communicates *a lot* in writing. He also writes me very long emails to which I seldom reply - and then he gets upset with me. The guy I mentioned earlier is very interesting though so his lengthy messages & emails don't bore me  I wonder why you've had this experience with Aquarius Venus... I associate brief replies with Virgo - in particular Virgo Mercury.. One of the things I actually love about Aquarius is how communicative they are. Maybe because of the Uranian influence they can be in extremes - like either they talk too much, write too much.. or not at all.. *shrug* The other thing I've noticed is they often express feelings in writing - through poetry or other creative original ways - but rarely verbally. I think it all depends on which house their Venus sits. This guy I'm seeing right now has Venus in Aquarius, but it's on his 8th house. He likes unique and eccentric girls. He does like to talk and intellectual stimulation is still important to him, but he seems to be very sexual. He likes dirty talking and all that crap. It turns him on easily. He's very physical, too. He likes to touch and be touched. Communication is still very important to him, though. He's just not verbally expressive. His Mercury is in Aries. I think Mercury plays a part in communication, too, even in the matters of love and romance. It seems to be the most disregarded planet when determining compatibility, but it's VERY important when you're a communicative/intellectual kind of person.IP: Logged |

I've been trying to date an aqua mars....I can't stand it, if I'm not in front of him he doesn't hardly speak!
He has a saggy Sun/AC/Merc on my saggy Sun/Merc so you would think we would be chatting all the time....but no! This guy doesn't talk! He has a pisces moon, I can tell he's deep emotionally....his moon does sqaure his Sun, his scorp Venus also squares his aqua Mars...but honestly I think it's his Mars that detaches and has the "out of sight out if mind" thing going.
I know he thinks about me all the time, he buys me little things n tells me about all the things he thinks about with us, and conversations we have had n his thoughts on all sorts of things....but he only talks in person??? This is a long distance relationship, and we only get to see each other about 1nce a month, so this isn't working very well for me.IP: Logged |

I have dated several aqua venus/ aqua sun combos and the last one also had an aqua mercury and was on the quiet side as well. but, as women... we tend to talk more anyway, so maybe they are just quieter than us? or, perhaps they are just not being communicative about relationship/emotional issues, because conversations about emotions with aqua guys is like getting blood from a stone. it could just be the topics that are making them quiet...IP: Logged |

Well my sun tightly conjuncts his venus in 5H and widely conjuncts his Moon there also. His Cap Sun sits right on the IC with his Mercury wide out in the 4th. From what I've gathered about this man in all these years is he's more flowing in dialogue face-to-face, but barely in written form. I'm not sure why he's like that, or where to pin point such reservation via the chart. And with the very demanding career field he's in it's way more probable to only be able to communicate via text unfortunately. When serious dialogue transpires, he's asking me a million and one questions; I write out fluently. I pose questions or make serious points where I would expect a lengthy and equally serious response - I get little to nothing! One word responses…maybe 5 words max I'm laughing but it's seriously annoying. IP: Logged |

When I saw "Pisces Moon" I cringed. Those guys will ball up and tuck themselves away in some crazy effort to handle their emotions/sensitivities on their own terms; you wind up taking the back seat while they lick their wounds. Dealing with those squares with his personal planets can be very push-pull confusing for them so it's gonna be perplexing for you I would imagine!

Gabby! I feel for you, am in a similar situation...I was involved with Pisces sun, Libra moon and AQUA mars and venus. Gosh, where do I start? He doesn't talk much! It is all physical expression and he has been away now since October 2013 so its been a long time. We messaged and they were sweet but brief. In March though, it was suddenly like he couldn't contain it anymore and there was outpouring of emotion via message. He told me EVERYTHING he had been missing and thinking for 6 months. As a leo moon and libra venus and mars this drives me crazy as I LOVE communication and I can't see him so its tough...I am never sure how much he cares,

My blind date from the other thread is an Aqua Sun, Merc & Venus with a Leo Moon, Pisces Mars. I've never dated anyone who talked to much and who expressed himself so easily. He does not hold back. He tells it like he sees/feels it, but not in a Sag way. He's outrageously exuberant, spontaneous, intelligent and very very fun. Before we even met in person we spend a month writing long emails back and forth. Now he texts me all the time. Even his texts are long considering it's a text. IP: Logged |

I'm an Aquarius venus (6th house) and I'm pretty quiet till I'm comfortable with people. And spending a week with them is not getting to know them
My SO and I didn't talk for the first 3 months of our relationship
I found it more trusting that conversation want forced and I found my way to him in my own time.
Now, almost 12 years later, he can't get me to shut up. lol
Other guys would try to force things out of me our want to cuddle up too fast.

My bestfriend is a Sun/Venus/Mercury in Aquarius, and his communication through texting is horrible. For one, he takes up to 25-30 mins to reply (sometimes an hour). For two, like you said, he won't really type much. Here's an example of a conversation we could possibly have through texting: Libra Mercury (me): Yoooo!
Aquarius Mercury (him): Yooo
Libra Mercury (me): Was good
Aquarius Mercury (him): Chilling you?
Libra Mercury (me): Out with my mom, she's being a complete ******* right now!
*awaits text message for 20 mins*
Aquarius Mercury (him): Haha Damn So yeah, that's what I mean, he doesn't do it all the time, but he does it MOST of the time. Usually it depends on the subject, or his mood. In person it's the opposite though, I'm a little more quiet, while he does most of the talking.. And he can talk your ears off too (his Moon in Gemini probably). His planets does a lot to my Mercury and vice-versa, so you'd think our texting would be on point... But our communication in person is 100%! We have the Mercury trine at the 2 orb.

Seems like I should've focused on these guys' scarce responses more so with written communications. 
It's almost like they don't want any sentimentality, deep expressions, overall interest documented for someone to later verse! Like looking back on any message showing "emotion" is blasphemy. LOL But you know what, that would fit an Aqua Venus very well; not wanting to SEE that they showed their feelings in written form. But it's all good to speak upon them - yes. And true the two that I do know very well can go on a spew about varied topics. But, if the focal point is about the relationship or emotions involved in the topic - it becomes all spotty….Yeah… But again, like @Libracorn pointed out - where you were chiming in with basically a "Hey, how are you?" angle and you get a response back that almost seems like they want to end the conversation before it even starts - classic in my book! Because it's still very typical (at least with the guys I know) for them to have those dry responses. It's not an "engaging" conversation whatsoever. You're really reaching for these guys to be more into communicating with you. But I will also add, that while I'm focusing in on the "short" means of dialoguing, they do show they're interest in you more than speak upon it. And again conversing in person is much, much better than what they do via the phone. IP: Logged |

Thank you... Push pull is an excellent way to describe it!
I wish I could figure him out but emotionally he himself does not have a clue what he wants or needs. He wants to be so close, but then once you give him that he pulls away and treats you like you don't exist...until he can't stand it and needs to be close again....then it's overboard, telling you how much you mean and how much he thinks about you. It's not needing sex that opens him back up, he goes through this cycle and gets needy for communication n to be told I still care. He asks me to not go anywhere, not to leave him for this crap.

How long did it take before your guy opened up like he did and did he stay open?

Hi When we had the emotional talk it was also frustrating as we wanted to be physically with one another. He shut down for 3 weeks or so, we didn't have contact. I wrote to him asking if he cared...and he replied within 10 minutes! We message now, not all the time but when we have news. He is busy studying for government entrance exams (4 months of study!) so he is focussing on that. My libra mars loves chatting but also I do understand if space is needed. Sparkling IP: Logged |

hahah you know i have always attracted aquarius moon and Venus. i have a leo rising may be that's why? anyway the guy i have been in love with doesn't like talking a lot. we broke up a few ties because i love talking and he does not. finally i understand this is just the way he is and i love him a lot to let go ;pIP: Logged |
