I've noticed I have quite a few of the stereotypical Virgo traits; I can nitpick every little thing when I'm moody, I cannot stand filth of any kind, I especially can't stand getting my hands or clothes dirty. I'm very organized and neat and can't stand clutter.

I have literally no Virgo placements... No planets in Virgo, no houses in Virgo.. What could explain this?

Tell me your sun, moon, ascendant? Sometimes Aqua can be a lot like Virgo. Virgo on steroids, in some cases.

Taurus sun/ascendant
Gemini moon

I do have Saturn in Aquarius and Saturn is my most dominant planet. Maybe that's to thank?

This is interesting! The dispositor of your moon is Mercury in Aries house 12. Aries gives Mercury vibrancy, energy, focus, enthusiasm and drive. 12th house can overdo or underdo the expression of a planet so you or others notice and might say something about it. So, you could exaggerate a quality of Mercury so it irritates you or others. It could also be the opposite, there isn't enough of Mercury's expression so you or somebody else thinks you are too quiet or perhaps they do not perceive the Mercury wit or talent at analyzing. You might appear disorganized.

Since you notice the Virgo traits, Mercury is visible. Is anyone irritated by them?

Gemini moon is naturally at home with systems, organization and communication so is Virgo. The two signs can overlap but Gemini is generally a bit more interested in appearance and can be more sensitive to aesthetic appeal and bothered by lack of this (which isn't really functional or practical, just pretty) while Virgos are very pragmatic and functional in their thinking so it can look nice but it has to have purpose and common sense.

No one is really "bothered" so to speak by them. People notice that I don't like getting my hands dirty, but they think it's funny (not in a patronizing way, but a lighthearted way). I'm only REALLY nitpicky when I'm moody and my friends will notice it but don't really care to complain; they just ignore it lol.

Geminis are super clean and organized....

My grandpa gemini, always asking if I washed my hands.....

He was always very clean and well groomed, very elegant man and very nicely dressed..

My friend from childhood is a gemini, always cleaning her house and very clean herself and well groomed.

and I notice this among geminis I work with, nitpicky, perfectionist and clean.

Geminis are well grommed, well dressed, clean, picky and perfectionistic.

I feel geminis are more virgos than virgos LOL.

I am a virgo but I feel my virgoness is focused on thinking and analyzing.

i was going to say perhaps it could be your venus sign, or the house your venus sits in. venus, often associated with beauty, could also be to blame for some of this behavior and wanting things to look nice - the self and the surroundings. the venus house might indicate where you'd be most particular about stuff.

placement of mars and or aspects to mars? anything in 6th house?

could be gemini, I find gemini placements to be very particular about things rather than cleanliness so much, like somewhat of an OCD quality at times.

Venus in Aries in 12th.

Mars in Cancer in end of third, so most places round it to 4th house.

Mars Aspects--
Mars opposite Midheaven orb -0°56'
Mars trine Pluto orb -3°38'
Mars inconjunction Saturn orb -0°15'
Mars opposite Uranus orb -6°08'
Moon sextile Mars orb -3°58'
Venus trine Mars orb -5°28'
Sun square Mars orb -5°55'
Mars opposite Neptune orb -7°11'

Jupiter in Libra in 6th house, its ruler is Libra.

Planets in the sixth are virgo placements and on top of it you have it in libra so yes this would explain it in combo with the gemini!

My interpretation is this; The nitpicking comes from 3rd house (gemini's natural house) and the aspects (uranus, saturn), the contingency on moodiness comes from it's location in cancer, which is why you'd see these traits come out more when you are moody or angry (mars). Being in the 3rd house which is also your immediate environment, and close to the 4th, your home, you may see these traits play out more in your home environment needing to be clean and organized.

Libra on the 6th house also may explain why you value cleanliness and prefer things to be neat, libra is about achieving balance and harmony, and in the 6th I could imagine that manifesting through routine work and orderly tasks. does this passage sound accurate at all?

"A person with a sixth house Libra is very easy going and has many friends in his social sphere. He adopts a happy go lucky attitude at his work place. Such a person does well in partnership in business. He has a unique ability to share and take responsibilities at the same point of time. Daily routine of the native requires him to exercise discrimination and be a negotiator. As far as work environment is concerned, the native can only work in a congenial, clean and harmonious work place. He seeks harmony in everything he does. Discords and disagreements at work place can affect his productivity along with his health." http://astrobix.com/hindu_astrology/post/libra-6th-house-6th-house-libra.aspx

Where is Ceres in your natal chart? Some astrologers consider Ceres the new ruler of Virgo. Maybe it is in Virgo or in the 6th house in your chart or is even forming an aspect your Sun or Moon or ASC...

I have Gemini moon and have felt the EXACT same way. I was actually going to make a thread on it but you beat me to it. I have lots of stereotypical Virgo traits and couldn't figure out why. I do have Virgo midheaven but so does my brother and he doesn't act this way. So it must truely be this moon after all.

Trust me, our charts don't have much in common besides Gemini moon. At this point I am certain that is the cause as my mom knew a Gemini moon guy that was very ocd/organized. This is so ironic b/c ppl assume this moon makes one messy, go figure.

I have a friend I have not seen in many years and I had done her chart and nothing matched or made sense. It was very perplexing.
Then later she got a phone call out of the blue. At that moment she found out she had been stolen when just months old.
She made a trip soon after that , met her real mother and well she returned with knowledge of a real birth date, even a birth certificate THAT was real.
The new date made sense.

Check your sidereal moon please..it may be in Virgo or your progressed Sun.

"I cannot stand filth of any kind, I especially can't stand getting my hands or clothes dirty. I'm very organized and neat and can't stand clutter."

Geminis can be this way and I am Virgo and don't have issues with dirt, I feel geminis are more like this. Also venusian types, strong Venus influence can give obsession with perfection with other aspects that provide the discipline to meet this ideal like sun aspect saturn.

Sometimes 6th house people can have so many more "Virgo" traits than even a Sun Virgo. Or their traits can be stronger/more intense compared to someone with Virgo placements.

I would study your 6th house, the cusp and what sign it falls in, if you have any planets in your 6th and their rulers. Also look at the aspects that any 6th house planets make.

Also, we're all pretty visual people - or at least I am - so posting your chart might be helpful, too.
