It also seems that some lose their father or mother in their 20s or abandonment as a child.

OMG! I have just realised all the people I mentioned (apart from my sister) have either lost their mother or have been abandoned/neglected by her. Woah..

Freaked me out too when i looked into it.. i wasnt sure weather i should mention it or not when i wrote the post but it seemed to be to consistant to ignore.. my friend sun in leo moon in cancer her mother was never around and it seemed to affect her alot as she learnt to be on her own. She doesnt let it bring her down like it used to but it caused an impact on her thats for sure.

Moon in Cancer seems to have all the great Cancer characteristics---sensitive,psychic,caring,nurturing,emotional,sweet,etc,sometimes even more so than a Cancer sun.Since the moon is ruled by Cancer it's like a double whammy effect!
I really like men with moon in Cancer, they are usually really in touch with their emotions, and are very in touch with their feminine side-- a lot of men with Moon in Cancer have a kind of feminine look to them----

I thought I would also add a moon in Cancer is in the sign of its strength (at home) as is Aries in Mars is at home as well, guess that's why I have an Aries moon and Cancer mars (both detriments)..stop trying to emotionally torment me already lol..

Lol yeah my moons in aries mars in taurus.. and the moon is at home in cancer for sure. Although depending on their suroundings and upbringing they can also carry some strong negative traits they could for example become manipulative when it comes to feelings and the feelings of others. Which can be very upsetting to someone else. I do love how understanding they are and i think they do show more cancer traits than cancer sun. I think maybe having cancer sun could make you more aware or in-tune with the moons signs of others.

I wonder if gender also plays a role? The leo-can had abandoment issues with her mother and the pisc-can and lib-can had both lost their fathers. Their fathers passed away when they were in their mid 20s
