Im just making an observation from my point of view. Could be wrong and could be longer but here it is.It seems most of the people i know with moon in cancer are very understanding towards those they believe are good people. They dont talk alot of bs compaired to some others.
They seem very concerned about their choice of friends or whom they are seen with. As nice as they are towards everyone sometimes they wouldnt want to be seen with certain people in a fear of how it may make them appear to others. They will tell those they care about not to hang out with certain people because of this. Concerned with whom they call friends when it comes to their "status" in society.
It also seems that some lose their father or mother in their 20s or abandonment as a child.
Very emotional but tolerant and happy most of time. Always seem to be trying to make someone laugh Emotions are obvious about a subject that arises. All in all a generalization of one aspect of a chart. I could be far from right just an observation based on who i know. IP: Logged |

Hmm yah the ones I know are indeed caring. Make me feel all warm, fuzzy n comfortable... for a while. I become restless n I feel suffocated quite quickly. IP: Logged |

Would your seventh house have to do with people you admire in some way?
It would make sence.. mines in Virgo and a lot of the people I've been with have had moon in Virgo.. A Lot! Of them. IP: Logged |

Yeah suffocation lol it seems like they don't mean to be that way and need a lot of reminders. Reminding them that you love them or that your their friend constantly.. if u don't remind them enough they seem to think you may forget what you said before. Lol. I know what u mean. IP: Logged |

Yeah, and it's also because of my own chart. I have cancer on the 7th house cusp and a bunch of cap, so I like being cared about, but not too much coz I don't handle it well. It's like I like milk but drinking too much milk would give me indigestion lol. IP: Logged |

It took me a few minutes to ponder on what you said. I have a cancer moon in the 7th house. I am a very emotional person but I am the least emotional person among my family members. My sister has a virgo moon and she is much more likely to feel bad for anyone. I will tend to agree that I am much more understanding and caring towards people I keep in high regards. True I will not associate with people I do not trust or has issues with, but I am not the sort that gets along with everyone either though. I, however would not tell a friend not to hang out with the person I distrust. We are adults, everyone should be making their own choices of friends and such.

My progressed moon is smack dab in Cancer right now (from an original 2' moon in Leo). I agree with pretty much all said, and my MC is in Cancer, so I do care about who I am seen/associate with because of public image, but not based on status/looks, but how that person carries himself, or if he's a good person.I didn't want my ex to associate with a mutual friend because he consistently cheated on another mutual friend. IMO, you should not associate with said individuals--it isn't just and makes you look bad (bad judge of character). Also, if I'm nice to your face, you can bet I've got your back when you are, and aren't, around. IP: Logged |

My son has cancer moonHe is very quiet and picky/choosy about friends.
Kids will hang all over him and while he's polite, he doesn't warm up easy

Have a couple family members with this placement and they are both caring and pretty much sweet, but combos to air signs cause them to be a bit snappy and short circuit on occasion probably due to aspects to other planets not being all that rosy.IP: Logged |

Well I'm glad you guys have good experiences with this placement. Me on the other hand, I choose not to deal with anything in Cancer. Just too emotional for me and clingy..manipulative as well. Actually I'm not a huge fan of watery signs in general. My progressed moon is in Scorpio..while I'm liking that I can smell bs from a mile away with it, I hate how emo it is. As you can guess I have a Virgo moon natally so I prefer things to be cut, dry and to the point. IP: Logged |

I cant say Ive had good experiances with cancer moon placement. I find they can be super needy and sometime s manipulative to get what they want. I've been with two Libra and pisces with cancer moon.. a lot to handle emotionally. Draining. But super nice when they are your friend s will do lots for the person they care for but needs a lot of love in return..IP: Logged |

Cancer moon checking in. Yes I'm clingy, and needy, and draining and way too much. Even other water moons get tired of it lol. Worst thing is I can see myself being completely smothering and annoying but like I can not stop myself. I seriously just want to devour my boyfriend. I do need constant reassurance to quiet my insides. I act out sometimes :/ I can't help it. I can't escape my emotions or keep them bottled up. The other water sign moons are great at keeping their feelings under wraps. Not cancer moon.I don't have many friends and I have never had a real close friend. I keep them at a distance. I couldn't care less about my status in society. And weird you mentioned the abandonmnt thing because that happened to me o.o Funny how someone mentioned the air sign thing. They can be cuddly darlings but like Sun in Cancer (or when blended with Sun in Cancer) they are very neurotic and demand you give a lot, so if you need TLC yourself you might find yourself sucked dry and/ or with no one in sight!! They are best off with another Cancer moon as they will understand each other best. IP: Logged |

Yeah I just noticed that correlation recently. My bf lost his father so did another friend of mine both in their 20's. Another friend of mine also cancer moon her mom left when she was young. It's an odd pattern but it seems somewhat consistent.

I seem to meet a lot of water moons actually- my sister and my dad have cancer moons but they are really detached. But my sister has a Libra rising and I'm just wondering if air signs tend even it out. My dad is most probably Aquarius rising.
A guy I once knew also had a cancer moon, but he was messed up coz of all sorts of things. He was a Cap sun- pretty melancholic and manic at the same time. Family stuff got to him.
Another guy who I don't know that well has a cancer moon and sun in Aquarius. He's so smiley and friendly- he makes a point of living life to the full.
I'm thinking the moon is greatly influenced by other stuff- its not consistent enough on its own to interpret. Not like the other planets where you can spot similarities. If that makes sense.IP: Logged |
