Watch Pluto aspects. My 1st house Pluto is conjunct my Sun...also sextile Moon & Neptune, and square Mars. I'm very secretive and I think it's due to the Pluto/Scorpio need to hold back until trust is established. My business (even if it's nothing) is no one else's business. My method of flirting is to never let you know, and it's pretty darned ineffective.  But the secretiveness can also be for fun reasons. I love surprising people with gifts, being elusive about details or special events so it can revealed all at once, etc. Gossips, busybodies, and backstabbers ruin everything. IP: Logged |

Hahaha me too. Someone even said I give off criminal vibes because of my secretiveness. I've been called secretive since I was a kid. Cancer moon. I see as a secretive placement. I don't like to show my emotional cards, and a lot of things get an emotional rise outta me. I used to be bad about saying the exact opposite if how I feel and I'm just now learning to not do that all the time. I have mercury square Pluto. My 12th house is my heaviest house.. I have Sun, Mercury, Venus and Ceres (all in Aries) there. I've also allegedly got an Aries stellium there (I don't know what that means exactly so I refrain from saying it as a fact).I agree with many things posted here. I don't like people who discuss others' lives.. Because that means you will discuss mine. My business is my business. If you aren't financing me or in a relationship with me, don't worry about me. My closest friends know how I am and have learned to respect my incessant need for secrecy. I also have a Moon/Pluto opposition and agree with banshee and mcm; my method of flirting is very elementary school-like.. Ignoring you, teasing you, playfully being mean to you. I was actually thinking about how ridiculously secretive my sister is about her friends and what she is up to.
I've always shared my friends with her, but she won't say a word unless one of them has ticked her off or she had a bad night.
She's a 12th house Taurus with sun

Let me ask this - which I can make a new thread if the OP wants. Those of you who are secretive, do you also dislike crowds of people or "busy" places? Generally speaking, I don't like to go to busy places. I haven't even been to a fourth of July event in YEARS. Barbie loves them, so... it's time for me to prepare myself. LOL
I try to shop during slower hours, etc. I just hate crowds/traffic. I'll just skip things if I have an option rather than fight through that crap. IP: Logged |

I have Scorpio mercury conjunct Pluto, along with an 8th house stellium, and I exhibit a lot of secretive (and a bit paranoid, heheh) behavior. I really enjoy busy places- cities and nightlife- especially. I think a busy environment allows me to blend in with the crowd, and gives me the opportunity to just lay back and observe what's going around me. Privacy and solitude within my own home is very important to me though. IP: Logged |

Just wanted to join in on the 12th house stellium chorus. With Natal Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Mars in 12th, I can be very, very private. I keep most of my deepest thoughts and feelings to myself, and "keep my own counsel", as they say. I'm not sneaky or manipulative, just very, very protective of my privacy. The good side of this is that I have a deep respect for others privacy. Natal BMLilith in 8th or Scorpio will produce this also. I have Lilith in Scorpio and know someone with it in 8th and we both have a deep, deep regard for privacy. I resent having my privacy invaded. Since I respect others privacy, I always appreciate those who respect mine. Strong Pluto in the chart plays a major part, too. I have Pluto conjunct Moon in the 3rd, squaring Sun-Venus 1°. I also have a Sun,Mars,Venus and Merc in XII!!
mine are in Aries..
and I have Pluto oppo them all- but Merc
our chart is somewhat similar in planet placements..
I agree with everything above. I, too, am secretive and respect my privacy..i don't like intrusive people who like to dig and ask too many personal questions. I always find a way to change the subject, or somehow leave the situation..

@DeepFreeze YES! I can't stand large groups of people. I love NYC, but I cannot go during the day. I hate people brushing up against me and having to swerve through people walking slow or stopping. I hate malls and large get togethers because there's too much energy. I'm very observant and to myself when I'm around people I don't know, so it's exhausting for me. I don't even like large parties or large classes in university. I won't feel comfortable at all.
