I am the Mars she is the Venus. The conjunction happens in Libra. What result would you imagine on this one.

You two realize that the intense rivalry is just the result of penned up sexual tension. Then you fall into each other's passionate embrace and it all ends well. N you two live happily ever after.

Oh, they do. It has been a big cause of trouble. I won't go into why here - I've splashed it over other parts of the board.

Lol.I like that.Progressive answer

I had Venus conjunct Mars with someone that irritated me.He used to stare at me and when I sensed him looking,he'd quickly look away. His Venus also conjunct my Pluto(orb of 8 Degrees)

I have this aspect with my current partner too and he is also Venus in Libra and it conjuncts my Mars and my Pluto(aspect orb of 5 and 7 degrees respectively)I am always all over him.

I think it depends on the relationship that you have with the person.I am Mars in this instance and so,I believe Mars energy can go either way;love or loath.

Sometimes the Venus person can act very defensively towards Mars- I do this often with people who have their Mars conjunct my Venus. Sometimes the conjunction does not have such a peaceful effect.

I think trine aspects/sextile aspects between Venus/Mars encourage understanding and romance. The Venus/Mars conjunct, can be a "hit" or "miss".

I'm always progressive, Mercury and Venus in Aquarius! I read an article and it said this conjunction can be either for huge love/appreciation or hate. Mars and Venus can be totally close or totally on the other side. Funny thing is with this woman we have another strong aspect too.My Moon conjuncts her Sun. Normally we should be good friends. I bet it's another aspect that makes us not like each other, and I'm gonna find out soon. But I really don't wanna end up a couple with her, I like men LOL (always joking).

I remember reading about Mars conj Mars sometimes causing rivalry in partners or being found in rivals. Like, it might make two people want to outdo each other through the Mars-related actions. Mars+Moon conjunction is also known as a potentially problematic aspect whereas Mars-Moon trine is always benevolent and sweet.

I wonder if it might the same for Venus+Mars sometimes.

Moon-Mars conjunction/opposition and square often speak of domestic turmoil.

But they also suggest that the two parties lust after each other and the Moon person doesn't have to do much before the Mars person wants to "get some action".

The Moon could just be washing the dishes, for instance, and the Mars person walks into the kitchen and wants it NOW.

This aspect is often known as a very potent "baby-making" aspect.

Moon-Pluto harsh aspects I suspect are problematic. If the Moon person is unwilling, the Pluto individual can impose their own will.

I read somewhere that this could also be a domestic abuse aspect(including marital rape)

It's true, Moon-Mars aspect can be really sexy passionate and usually Moon wants to have kids with Mars. I laughed a lot with the example... washing the dishes... wants it NOW hahaha! As for Mars-Pluto aspects, they can get really out of hand, lust is so intense that after the ripping clothes period, comes the jealousy to death period, esp. In tight opposition and square.

My 2 arch nemesies are:

cancer mars
aqua mars

I have Cancer Venus in 11H.

With the Cancer Mars it's SEXUAL and then it gets real ugly.

With the Aqua Mars it's....."hmmm buddy? you need help but...what did you say you did that one time? O.O Oh, really? hmm....Ok, I can try but then don't call me ever again please.."

Venus in Cancer ok is normal, it can be sensitive, sensual, romantic, nurturing to her partners, but Mars in Cancer sounds so weird. Maybe a Pisces, Scorpio or Capricorn Mars would suit you better. Also your Venus with Aqua Mars sounds so incompatible...

And if Mars belongs to the woman (in a hetero relationship) and Moon is the guy's? Still works?

By the way, what about Mars-Neptune conjunction? Some old books I've read say it's like the worst thing ever for a potential union, leading to beating each other up and so on.

I'm just curious...

If it is a rivalry, would it be the Mars that instigates it?

It depends on the combination, natal chart & synastry, which signs & houses are affected. Usually Mars is the aggresive one, but there are few cases that Venus is really strong. For example in my case her Venus is stronger because it's in her natural sign, while my Mars there is really weak...

Well if you must be rivals and you can't make peace - you'll probably hurt her feelings.. Your actions can be seen as rude and hurtful by her - even when it is not intentional on your part. She might see you as a 'bull in a China shop'. Her reaction will be probably a very typically feminine reaction (since she is Venus) so she will get very catty and bi*tchy - possibly behind your back... but never straight-forwardly aggressive.

Usually the Venus person tries to resolve things in a diplomatic way and the Mars person is reluctant because they simply want what they want (and they want it yesterday).

This will only play out if the aspect is a close one.. and obviously the rest of the synastry is very important.

I'm totally straight forward, that's true, while she's totally the feminine bi*tchy way and I'm the person who loves peace, not her. She's a very angry person, plays games behind other peoples back and so cruel. Great paragraph Odette, thanks!

This made me giggle.. My fiance has his scorp mars opp my taurus moon and we've had the dishes scenario I think his virgo moon played a part in that, too.
but this aspect can be hard for the moon person.. I've felt occasionally that literally just what I was feeling atm was making him irritable.. Which I suppose can be normal to an extent, but it definitely doesn't feel good to be the moon person and be made to think your emotions are a source of irritation for your beloved instead of a trigger for their attention and care..
