I know it's to do with patience, discipline, and self reliance, but why does it make you feel like you dont have options or choices in life? Anything is possible in life so why does saturn just tell you that you can't do much in life. I HATE SATURN. IP: Logged |

Saturn also rewards, as much or more as any other planet. IP: Logged |

I think Saturn is a mindset. He IS our minds. We are Masters of our minds...don't succumb.IP: Logged |

Saturn makes life interesting. If my life goes exactly like I plan, I'd die of boredom.IP: Logged |

Saturn gives you lessons you just have to learn, once you've learned them it gives you rewards. I don't mind Saturn anymore. Sure, it has made me struggle, (Saturn in 3rd conj. IC) but he isn't a bad guy, just missunderstood. He is kinda like a strict parent -- but he is thinking our best. IP: Logged |

Saturn teaches us life isn't fair, and every obstacle we overcome just makes us stronger and wiser. Saturn may "restrict" but it's up to you to let it. I really appreciate Saturn. Believe me the saturn transits I have, I sometimes despise it to. But saturn isn't concerned about being popular or liked, it's main focus is to make one grow and develop maturity. Do you think people would mature and grow if everything was just handed to them in life, without any hard work? Of course not. It's life.IP: Logged |

Oh yea, Saturn the cold, hard, tough reality that keeps everything from happening all at once. He happily positions himself in my natal T-square. I have tried to find a way to appease him, all my life. But it's so slippery, as the T-square is mutable. Tricky, tricky right is now left, left is right. WTF?! But I'm determined IP: Logged |

Well, if you look at the mythology, Saturn castrates his Father Uranus (our freedom, independence, originality... but also rebellion). Then, Saturn is told his fate will be that his own son will limit him the same way. So, the bastar* decides to devour all his young. Now, that sounds VERY Saturnalian, of course. One son, though, avoids this fate, and who would that be... none other than Zeus/ Jupiter. So, Jupiter feels like freedom to us. Jupiter gives us the feeling of breaking free from Saturn's devouring clutches. I find the mythology fascinating. I have a very love/hate relationship with Saturn. Ironically, the only aspect my Saturn makes is a tight 1° trine to Uranus. Other than that, it's unaspected, but it rules my DC and my North Node, so I crave Saturn energy no matter how much I hate it. I know I need it.

I am very saturnine and have Saturn as my final dispositor. Stellium in Capricorn, with Mars and Saturn there, conjunct Neptune/Uranus.I am comfortable with saturn's energy. I find you need to embrace the limits he places on you. Saturn is all about endurance, patience, remaining steadfast and disciplined. Work hard and reap rewards. I find when Saturn comes to shake things up, I usually examine things afterward and find I was becoming too complacent. Then I reach for something even better. I find more stability and see that there may have been wool over my eyes. Saturn is the ***** slap Neptune needs sometimes. When the fog rolls over and I get misty-eyed, Saturn reminds me there's a reality that imposes real, concrete limitations. I can overcome them, but anything worthwhile requires effort. Embrace it and it'll work for you. Look at the positives of restricting situations. Then make them work to for you. Saturn is a gift in disguise. A gem in a pile of crap. Honestly. ...I'm done. I had one. It was during this - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Coastal_Gale_of_2007 Right after this event, I found out that my husband (who I had been with for 4 years at that point) had cheated on me 3 years prior, just after our daughter was born. My life crashed down in an ugly way. I left him, but stupidly went back to him because I had no where else to go and no one to help me. After the storm, we spent a lot of time homeless but eventually found a crappy duplex to rent but then the kitchen caught on fire and we had to move again. My husband finally found a job (he had been unemployed for a long time) but then he got fired and we were homeless... again! I hurt my ankle and had to do physical therapy. OMG it was a rough time! Such an awful time. Eventually, I was doing better financially but our relationship was still crap and he continued to cheat. When I learned of his nonsense, I threw him out of my house (because he was unemployed again and I paid for everything). Worst time in my life. Edit -- My Jupiter return just started and the transformation I've gone through in the last 6.5 years is phenomenal. I just got remarried in April & I do FINALLY feel like the universe is rewarding me. However, my progress is still very slow. I hope Jupiter will speed it up.

BTW, I find your word choice of "restrict" very telling. I agree. I felt bound, tied & stuck. No hope. I also hate Saturn. Good riddance! IP: Logged |

Definately, I feel like saturn puts me in a cage with no nice food or nurishment or love. Saturn is the devil who likes sadistic pleasure of peoples suffering. IP: Logged |

I second this. I just went through a rough saturn transit (and a few more coming) but I have to say there's always a light at the end if the tunnel. I hated it but I kinda see why now ... Neptune just sucks IP: Logged |

Some people will more readily accept Saturn's 'mentor' influence than others. It highly depends on what is going on in the natal chart - if someone is Saturnine at birth, a 'difficult' Saturn transit may bring more rewards or some kind of epiphany because these people will know the value of hard work and taking things one step at a time. Saturn is methodical. It is practical and pragmatic at best, and it is anxious and melancholic at worst. If you feel like Saturn is creating limited choices in your life, you are likely trying to fight a Saturnine influence. Saturn will give you a path that will lead to an excellent result, but the road may be rocky. You may be unconsciously or consciously resisting some of the paths that Saturn's influence has offered to you knowing that they will be uncomfortable, financially restricting, etc. This may not be the case but I've seen this often with other people I've helped. Saturn doesn't tell you that you can't do anything - this planet tells you that hard work, building your skills practically, and forcing yourself to have confidence in weaker areas vs. falling to self-doubt will help you achieve your dreams in the house/sector where Saturn falls in your chart. When Saturn seems especially terrible, a lesson that is pivotal and must be learned is being resisted. IP: Logged |

I just don't get what I was supposed to learn out of homelessness, hunger and struggle.I was never rich before, so it wasn't to humble me. I had a homeless episode as a child, my mom was mentally ill & abusive, on food stamps, etc. Things have never been easy for me. Ever. Saturn just likes f___ing with me. IP: Logged |

Maybe to provide you with perspective of, "it could be worse" because it could! To appreciate what you have and just how much it is. 15 ago I worked 2 jobs to make half of what I make now and there wasn't overtime available like there is now. If I compare myself to others, I'm blessed but not living like a Rockefeller. If I look back to my former self, well I am actually really living it up. I've come a long long way and most after my Saturn return. I know this is simply about Saturn and not the return but I'm just saying.... Saturn has big benefits but people just focus on it like it's "planet big daddy pain" or something. Work hard where Saturn wants you to and you will be rewarded. (Saturn is in my 10th house... Barely) Wherever Saturn is... Big rewards are possible but one thing is for sure - they won't come for free! IP: Logged |

I just read your post at interpersonal involving chiron transit..chiron is near my moon right now and t saturn is conjuncting my hygeia exact. I was feeling pretty bad but I am feeling good now.....the impression I am getting is that it forces you to heal things that need to be healed and it can be very painful but this is followed by feeling more at peace and content; this is the gift of chiron transits and hygeia transits, it forces you heal wounds that need to be healed once and for all.IP: Logged |

Saturn is karmic as well I've heard on here. I just think it's a tough place on the chart but well worth working hard on. So many people just look at it and say, "Awww hell. Well I'm screwed there I guess", tuck their tail and pout. Get on it! IP: Logged |
