Wow that's very sad. Even indie musicians and actors won't catch a break huh?Indie is the one shining thing in the entertainment industry. When you are indie, you have much greater control over your image and choices, but the problem is that will it allow for you to achieve the fame you want. If you're main focus is fame, indie is probably not the right route. But if you love music or acting and don't care about money/fame. then you are low key the most respected people in the business. The problem lies in the transition from indie to mainstream: if you choose to do it, then you become a part of the game. Very rarely do indie artists go unscathed in the process. The exception may be Adele, but there's a good reason why she is so private and controlling of her image. For example, compare Solange and Beyonce. Solange is a way better writer imo and actually has more talent. So why isn't Solange more of a star? She went more of the indie route because she simply wasn't willing to do the things Bey had to for superstardom. Well, he did have Mars in natal 8th. His car crash death does seem "neatly" appropriate. Yeah, unfortunately the car his friend crashed had a malfunctioning going on for some time that no one knew about. There wouldn't be a real reason to off Walker, he peaked 10 years ago and wasn't really that involved in H-wierd anymore. Quiet and non-controversial aren't the higher up's targets. So you saying that it's a matter of sleeping your way to the top? I get that. Yup! Thats one of them. Why would a famous gossip site release their 4-year old video of JB saying racial slurs now? You stopped doing what your higher ups asked you to do.

I cannot speak for the music industry or anyone famous, although my old boss knew P. Walker VERY well (supposedly a terrific guy), for that matter, but I have lived in LA for a looooong time and moved in circles where things were very uncomfortable. There's a lot of abusage and usage and drugage and hookerage going on but it's all glossed over with a sparkly shimmer...I have had dreams of being a famous author but I'd be lying if I said I would love the attention and everything surrounding it! Perhaps a ghost writer would be more up my alley I THINK many artists become exploited by money hungry managers and promoters. And these people can be quite influential so if said artist doesn't want to do something well, sh*t will hit the fan. I honestly don't think Cobain enjoyed one second of his stardom, along with many many others that probably had NO clue what was waiting for them around the corner. When it was too late they had to choose between doing what they were told or not remain in industry. IP: Logged |

I don't mean occult as in "secret/hidden" but as in magical. While I suppose one could say they were "sacrificed for national security" that's stretching it. The word would be killed, assassinated, or even executed rather than sacrificed. Here, an example of occult theory in terms of sacrifice from The Black Arts by Cavendish: quote: [Elizabeth Bathory] once wrote to her husband, "Thorko has taught me a lovely new one. Catch a black hen and beat it to death with a white cane. Keep the blood and smear a little of it on your enemy. If you get no chance to smear it on his body, obtain one of his garments and smear it." The magical theory behind this is that the hen's life, which was characterized by an agonized death, has been transferred to the enemy in the hen's blood. His death in the same agony will follow. Beating the black hen to death with a white cane is an interesting example of a reconciliation of opposites
So an example of what I'd be interested in is, "By sacrificing a rock star beloved by millions they can weaken the auras of the fans by grief while simultaneously using the rock star's blood to impart charisma into a chosen leader or a telepathic suggestion into the minds of those who loved, adored, and idolized the singer, in effect transferring the devotion of millions to the star over to a politician favored by the Illuminati or an occult project." Or, "The adoration of millions of fans links itself to the blood of the entertainer so when the entertainer is sacrificed it taps a little of all the fans making the magical energy raised all the more powerful or pleasing." Bonus points if you can incorporate astrology into it somehow, that is how the position of the planets made the sacrifice especially potent. IP: Logged |

@PixieJane I want to say that book touched on some of the more sinister cult-like underpinnings of the government/MKUltra projects surrounding the various deaths. Maybe it was Morning of the Magicians though. It's been a few years and I was reading them at about the same time.Pretty sure one of them talked about Robert Fripp, a seemingly cursed Ouija board, and the 'Crimson King' thing a fair bit though. I'll dig some this weekend. As far as astrology goes, this stuff seems to come in waves. So maybe looking at slow moving outer planets would be be the place to start. IP: Logged |

Because of the internet more musicians are going indie anyway. All of the tools and info are available for us to make and distribute great music on our OWN (gotta be thankful for the new Aquarian age for that!) Fame is nonsense. Any musician who is educated in this business knows they can fully give their souls to the world AND still provide the needs to take care of themselves and family IP: Logged |

^^Good for you? I don't believe them either. I have yet to meet anyone promoting a conspiracy of the Illuminati who didn't come off as if their brain wasn't scrambled (at least when that topic came up). Still, we have people at LL who do believe and often connect it to the entertainment industry. If any spoke up I'd be curious about that...and if I got something that actually made sense (a first) then that would be interesting in of itself (as it would be suggestive of how the brain pattern works since the occult which includes astrology works by a different type of logic). And if nothing else then I might be able to incorporate something interesting into my fiction which often includes adapted conspiracy theories (the wilder the better) as well as urban fantasy. Kurt Cobain's a Pisces Sun--and it's not like it's a huge secret Pisces are 'sensitives' with hearts made of delicate glass. Elvis was a Capricorn, true...but his Moon was in Pisces. Jean-Michel Basquiat, a lesser-known member of the 27 Club (which by the way adds to 9), went from being a street graffiti poet to a gallery artist almost over night. He has become one of the most influential artists in recent times and is often referred to as a 'modern-day prophet' by fellow artists, fans, collectors and critics. I think what Madonna (the Material Girl...not Mary the Mother) wrote gives a lot of insight... quote:
In 1996, Madonna wrote a short essay on Basquiat for The Guardian prior to a show of his work at London's Serpentine Gallery."He was one of the few people I was truly envious of," she wrote. "But he didn't know how good he was and he was plagued with insecurities. He used to say he was jealous of me because music is more accessible and it reached more people. He loathed the idea that art was appreciated by an elite group. When I heard that Jean-Michel had died, I was not surprised. He was too fragile for this world."
Another good quote by Ethel Barrymore... "For an actress to be a success, she must have the face of Venus, the brains of a Minerva, the grace of Terpsichore, the memory of a Macaulay, the figure of Juno, and the hide of a rhinoceros."

Idk about the illuminati and all that (although honestly I don't see it as that far fetched) but if you believe our news sources are being influenced/censored by corporate interests, it's the same concept... I say corporate not political because the politics of it is a charade imo but that's a different topic lol. This hasn't always been the case but now with "advances" in media and neocapitalism the same main corporations that own most of our news platforms also own most of our entertainment sources as well. So it's not too far of a stretch to say essentially news is becoming entertainment and vice versa.... This article was made 2 years ago and I've stopped paying attention honestly but I doubt much has changed... http://www.businessinsider.com/these-6-corporations-control-90-of-the-media-in-am erica-2012-6 I actually wish we could take all the fluff about conspiracy theories out of it because it keeps people from discussing the real issues imo... But just for a clear example of what I'm talking about, Selena Gomez makes a comment about Gaza and this is how it's portrayed.. Most Americans don't even know what's going on in Palestine right now but they know who Selena Gomez is lol http://www.tmz.com/2014/07/19/selena-gomez-gaza-instsagram-israel/ http://latino.foxnews.com/latino/entertainment/2014/08 /04/joan-rivers-tells-selena-gomez-to-shut-up-about-gaza-conflict/ http://www.tmz.com/videos/0_73pegaf4/

Not really. Nearly every single time it's explained it's silly, and I feel like I'm listening to the insane logic of Humpty Dumpty. And that's because it lacks any sense or coherency and is typically self-contradictory. The person who promotes it nearly always comes off as completely brain scrambled to me because unlike most beliefs it's about as completely devoid of internal consistency and logic as it can be. And the motive of why the Illuminati is doing it typically given is itself self-contradictory without rhyme or reason (actually there is a reason I see for it, but it's a psychological one rather than a rational one, at least for the ones who feel the traditions are going to be overthrown--granted, traditions started by the Illuminati, one of the reasons it's difficult for me to explain it as it's so self-contradictory). Even the absurd Satanic Panic had more internal consistency than that and I saw how that lacked rationality when I I was still a teenager (ah, the over the top things I've been accused of by people who believed, from animal sacrifice to seeking out human sacrifice to LITERALLY having sex with Satan...one high school counselor who said her newsletter told her all about "my kind" but made me think she should be in a mental hospital). Corporate interests on the media (and their aiming at children sometimes), however, make perfect sense, have easily discerned motives, and have been proven, which makes it very different from Illuminati beliefs. The very rare exception of the Illuminati conspiracy theories making sense was when it was used strictly as a metaphor for repeating themes in history involving corruption and old boy networks.
