Hi, Amelia! From what I recall of Einstein's chart, his Mercury was in Aries, even though he was a Pisces Sun. I remember he had a Mercury-Saturn conjunction (there you go, it's not that bad) and the genius part is due to the quincunx to Uranus. I seem to be very fond of Scorpio Mercuries, Aries and Sag. I also like Mercury-Pluto people a lot, they have the depth I admire. ------------------ ~the raving one dancing in the nude~ IP: Logged |

Yes I just noticed that, I generated his chart. His uranas in the 3rd is the apex and inconjuncts mercury, saturn and part of fortune on one leg and NN on the other leg so a transit to NN would activate this YOD. I also find it very interesting he has jupiter in the 9th conjunct exact Pholus! IP: Logged |

I really like Mercury in Sagittarius. They have such a vivacious way of thinking, everything is possible. Also I really like Mercury on the Mars/Venus midpoint, more specifically, I like reading their writing. The SAG Mercury I like more as a conversationalist. I have mine in Aries, so it's clear why I'd appreciate fellow Fire Mercuries. IP: Logged |

They write great smut, what can I say! Being serious though, the aspect gives a person a really great awareness of that exciting mix between conveying action and creating poetry. They just make action seem beautiful. IP: Logged |

Mine conjuncts both Mars and Venus, 3 degrees from the midpoint but I don't really write anything outside of simple communication. I can't imagine writing smut. Maybe I should. IP: Logged |

Have you ever watched a Libra with a Virgo Merc at a flee market/auction? I'm fascinated with watching someone who can haggle and deal like you or I can say good morning.

I like mine too: Mercury in Aries/11th opp. Pluto, trine Neptune, and ssqu. Uranus. In draco, it's in Aquarius, which is fitting Other Mercs I like: Mercury in signs: Aqua, Leo, Sag, Libra, Gemini, and Virgo. Mercury aspects: the positive expressions of Merc-Uranus, Jupiter, Pluto, and/or Neptune. I have to say Merc-Pallas is awesome too.

Virgo Mercury if I can only pick one Mercury sign. If not, then Virgo, Gemini, Libra, Aquarius, Sagittarius and Scorpio Mercuries.Mercury/Uranus, Mercury/Jupiter, Mercury/Pluto, Mercury/Pallas, Mercury/Chiron and Mercury/Saturn. I know this wasn't asked in the question, but for the house position, I like Mercury in the 3rd House. IP: Logged |

I love Mercury in Pisces. In my Draconic chart, my Mercury falls in Pisces. I just love the energy that this Mercury exudes. Peaceful, poetic, insightful, compassionate. It's a lovely placement. I don't find them to be liars, unless the rest of the chart is afflicted by Neptune to the extreme. My second favorite is Mercury in Scorpio, like me! I can always have good conversations with these people, and they will be deep which I love. Aspects I like for Mercury: Mercury-Moon, Mercury-Saturn, Mercury-Pluto and Mercury-ASC IP: Logged |

I admire fellow water Mercuries most of all.. because they are more so on my wavelength. I also really like people with Mercury in aspect to a transpersonal planet: Uranus, Neptune or Pluto. Mine is square Uranus. I like the open-mindedness that comes with it

Mercury in Virgo, Hands Down. Was looking at my Favourite One, and it just went off the charts. Think it was Twenty Seven. Now, that's High. Oh, do you find it odd that Einstein had Mars out of bounds? You'd think it would be Uranus or something... IP: Logged |

Great catch that Einstein has mars out of bounds since it rules his mercury! Also notice his uranus in the 3rd is a quadrant singleton and that mercury conjuncts his part of fortune. Following up with your mars observation notice that his mars conjuncts Orcus in aqua at 29d and notice his jupiter conjunct pholus exact in the 9th: "Pholus - From Saturn to Orcus
In light of the above, Pholus may help to lead us from the conforming bounds and limitations of our past, to make the radical changes in our lives, to pierce the veils obscuring our more transcendent soul purpose, and to awaken to that purpose and live it. Conversely, Pholus may also help us to then ground and concretize that purpose in the world. Pholus would seem to help us refine our sense of responsibility to one living true to soul's oath. Upon this journey, guided by Pholus, we may also confront the fear and loneliness encountered when leaving the apparent safety of our past established karmic patterns and choosing to live true to soul's greater purpose in the world. Pholus may be our ideal new psychedelic (mind expanding) drug." "The Pholus-Saturn-Neptune-Orcus-Pluto orbital relation may also suggest seemingly fated events, but with reasons obscured until after they occur, one's that may yield a greater revelation, ideal, dream, vision or dissolution in to the unknown. Pholus may help us cross from the concretized world of Saturn and cross the veiled / hypnogogic dream world of Neptune to enter the realm of our souls' true purpose (Orcus); and if so requirer, bring us to the door of ultimate transcendence offered by Pluto--certainly this Centaur's journey."
**There seems to be correlation with Orcus and the Soul's true purpose.***
ADD: Notice cusp Taurus/Scorpio are intercepted in the 5th and 11th houses. IP: Logged |
