I don't listen to it as much as I used to, but I've definitely heard some very brutal stuff (and enjoyed it). I don't usually show my playlist to anyone because I know the vast majority of people can't handle the noise. When I'm upset or angry it acts like a perfect mediator. I like how it makes me feel tense and nervous and agitated. May sound twisted, but it's probably all the squares in my chart.

I think Pluto & Uranus could point to a love for that type of music, like Adimi said. I've noticed musicians usually have those energies pretty prominent (& Scorpio/Aqua respectively - lol wait, that's the username of the OP!). Actually, Virgo stuff, too, surprisingly (or not).

Actually, this makes me think... Uranus is associated with electro music. Do you enjoy it, too? I definitely do. I like some trance stuff, and industrial stuff - synths, digital sounds, and so on.

When I was younger I would listen to Baaaaaaaaaad stuff.
Just gore, satanic stuff.... all kinds of stuff. Carcass, Cancer, Deicide, Gorguts, etc etc. And in between, odd things. Like GodFlesh.
It's EXTREMELY obvious to me that back then, it was my 12th house. My Mercury, Mars, and Venus there. Mercury conjunct both.

Even though I don't listen to things like that, but still "metal" on occasion. I do listen to "electronic" and rap music a lot. I still tend toward the darker music in general. Stuff that allows me to escape into my mind.

I don't think it's anything exclusive to 12H, but... for me it played a HUUUUUUUUUGE role. I say that because my mind also followed into that - the delusions, self-undoing, escapism, etc etc. I was a messed up little dude!
And I don't mean to imply that people who still listen to it everyday are messed up. That was just me. I did some really strange and evil things. (Nothing that would get me into trouble with the law type stuff - ok a few lol but it was a long time ago) But I have my secrets. Buhahahahaha!

Annnnnnnnnd... spinning off a little bit. No, it was not the music that turned me into that, I was that, and the music fit my mind.

Me too Doux me too! EDC is the ultimate music festival! Coachella doesn't even compare. Skrillex is just ew

Tallis was amazing. He used to play for Henry VIII(hehehe I'm a history nerd) and is considered one of the greatest composers of England. I love listening to Hans Zimmer, he is also one of my favorites, just truly incredible.

Edit Do any of you other metalheads like classical music too?

I know one friend who really likes heavy metal music, and he has Moon/Mercury in the 8th house, trine Neptune + Uranus on the Ascendant. Another friend who likes most underground bands is Aquarius Sun, Moon, and Venus, with Mercury in Capricorn conj. Neptune.

So I think it's a combo of both Uranus contacts and Neptune contacts. Possibly Pluto.

I've had a very limited metal phase, ~late teens, but I consider myself mostly a house/techno girl.

(Aries Mars in the 3rd - I see techno as a Fire/Air thing, while I agree that metal is heavy Scorpionic).

Yup, Scorpio sun, Aquarius moon. Moon conjuncts Jupiter in the 8th. Dominants are Scorp, Aries, Aqua, Pluto (conjunct IC), Mars (in Aries, 10th) and Sun (5th).

As a rule of thumb, most metal I like is symphonic (and though not a big fan of Metallica, they're okay and I see them as talented but not my cup of tea, yet I loved when their songs were done with classical instruments) such as Nightwish and Within Temptation, two of my favorite bands.

Perhaps that comes from crossing Leonine (Asc and 5H stellium) with the fire of Sag, so many Pluto angles on the Scorpio cusp (in both stelliums) with a Libra sun and stellium. Btw, while I'm not fan of Slayer's music, I'd love to have some casual conversation with them (this comes from interviews as well as some of their knowledgeable lyrics), which is probably my air sign with its Plutonian elements...though I should add I see them as entertainers, like people who make horror movies, and not really into what they sing about (IIRC, at least one band member is Catholic), otherwise I'd steer well clear of them.

I did know a Libra who said he loved metal, but could only take it "in small doses." After I saw and sampled his CD collection (which included Slayer, btw), I could see why, it was very discordant, unlike symphony metal. I could only take that in small doses myself.

I personally am someone who really loves electronic music. All genres, for there's got to be something good from each one. I've never liked country or rap; they have always turned me off somehow. I'm even a producer of electronic music myself, since I love music so much. It's literally my soul.
