I'm really confused. Any and everything you know about them helps. Venus is my chart ruler, as it's in my 1st house and is the ruler of my sun, moon, mercury and ascendant but my Venus is in Scorpio. What all exactly does that entail? IP: Logged |

Good question.  A dispositor is an important part of the horoscope. It's especially important to see what the dispositor of the luminaries are doing, like the Sun and Moon [and ASC], to get a feel of the 'layers' that exist beneath the surface of the natal chart. In your case, Venus is in the 1st and disposits your 12H Libra planets and ASC. This means that both Aries and Scorpio energy will underlie your Venus, Moon, Mercury, and Sun. Truth be told, in the pic I've seen of you, I did get a sense of Aries right away! It's in the vibrancy of your features and how you seem very outgoing, in a sense. Basically, a huge part of your identity exists in romantic and sexual self-expression in connection to the divine. Your ability to ascend spiritually is connected to sex, love and transformation of the self - allowing yourself to be transformed by sex and love. Venus in Scorpio is a powerful placement on its own; with Venus in the 1st dispositing almost all of your personal planets, you'll find that you will be an attention getting, sensual person with a life journey that focuses on combining sexuality and spirituality [12H influence+1H influence combined]. You have to look at the aspects Venus makes in your chart. Then that shows how this energy is releasing itself.

I have a somewhat similar situation...not as extreme as yours, BG but maybe somewhat because Venus still disposits my Taurus moon, just not my Virgo sun. It's in Leo. So Leo has a lot of influence in my personality and that's true. I am big hearted, care about kids, am kinda selfish in some ways (I admit it.) I also wear my heart on my sleeve. I can see a lot of Leo qualities in my personality. I suspect it is similar with Scorpio. Are you drawn to what Scorpio represents, as in, you like to be in control, are driven, emotional, focused? Do you have strong will power? Are you charismatic? I would expect these qualities in someone with your chart. IP: Logged |

@SSS I am, very much so. I've always attracted men with heavy Pluto/Scorpio as well, now I know why. This may also be why I like Aries influenced people, it feels like home. I personally sense Leo in you as well. IP: Logged |

Awesome! You are more than welcome. I always enjoy responding to your threads, and I'm glad what I wrote makes sense and resonates with you. I took a look at your astrological chart [from when we did the synastry] and I see what you mean. The fact that Venus is trine Mars, a bit wide but still trine nonetheless, is an excellent supporting aspect to the theory that sexuality will aid you in personal transformation. The fact your Sun and Moon are almost exact conjunct shows a fusing of the heart and ego. I just remember the transit of Venus in Scorpio in 2010. And it went retrograde so I'm sure that made it worse.
It was a scary time in my love life. I got a good dose of what venus in scorpio means.

You're welcome, any time! I think that those aspects and placements are definite indicators about sex being a very important part of your life and your identity. BTW, I kind of feel similarly - since my ASC ruler is conjunct Venus. Sex and romance is a big part of my identity, and I feel it will also help me spiritually ascend/discover more about myself somehow, since Venus is disposited by Pluto in the 12th. IP: Logged |

LOL! Exactly...sex is great, but the idea of ever being filmed makes my skin crawl. The porn industry seems like a terrible business. If I had a nicer figure, I would have loved to do burlesque. I think it's an amazing art! And speaking of sex, I happened to come across this - it's pretty much the one spot a Venus in Scorpio, Mars-Pluto and/or Venus-Mars person needs to see at some point. Some will definitely disagree with me here, but I'd like to reiterate what I often like to say ( ) Venus is not your chart ruler, she is the lord of your ascendant, however in your case venus is elevated to a more prominent status since she disposits your sun,moon and mercury. You say your venus is in scorpio, therefore Mars is the dispositor of your venus ( I work with traditional rulers),where she is in detriment,however if she is within 14 -21 degrees,she would be in her own term but still in detriment. This weakens Venus as an important dispositor of multiple planets in your natal chart. If Mars is found in Venus's house, this will entail a love-hate relationship between your venus and mars, depending hugely on aspects, and other influences these two planets have over your whole natal chart. I take it your 12th house is Libra? Then you should see what Saturn is doing in your chart,since he is in exaltation in Libra, the clue is to link all planets to the dispositor of your ascendant. Venus is @ 1 degree, my ascendant at 17. My Mars is in Cancer @9 in my 9th house. Yes 12th house is Libra. Saturn isn't as active as a few others, sounds more accurate. IP: Logged |

What house system are you using? The lord of the ascendant in many cases is not the CHART RULER of a whole horoscope, you know the planet that RULES over the natal chart? I don't quite agree to saying that the ascendant ruler is the chart ruler. However in your case, you have a stellium in the house of Venus that includes both luminaries and your ascendant at the time of your birth AND it happens to be also part of your 12th house, so in YOUR case I'd say Venus is an important/prominent/essential planet that can trigger events during transits. How important a planet is is how efficient they work during specific transits.. EDIT: Mars is in cancer, cancer is ruled by Moon, moon is being disposited by Venus, so here she is again where is your saturn? IP: Logged |

I actually wasn't using any. I assumed that because it's the lord of my ascendant and the others that it was my chart ruler. That its the most prominent and influential but I'm assuming that's incorrect. Saturn in my 4th, @12 Aqua.Thank you for clearing it up. IP: Logged |

^No, I said in your case Venus IS influential, not because she is the ascendant lord though, because she houses multiple planets.Chart ruler is often mistakenly used to describe the ascendant lord. The question I often ask is what happens if the chart ruler is in detriment? or peregrine? does it stop 'ruling'over the natal chart? IDK to me it doesn't make sense. IP: Logged |

Pluto disposits most of my stuff. It's the final dispositor of my ASC, Moon and Scorpio stellium.Definitely a huge influence on me, without a doubt. Its placement and aspects reflect my deepest self, I believe.
