Yes, I know moon is exalted in Taurus, but I've noticed that folks with this moon placement can come off a bit childish/selfish when it comes to their emotions. Like theirs are the ones that matter above anyone else's.

Anyone have this experience?
And before anybody gets offended, I'm throwing myself under the bus with this one, too. 10h taurus moon.

Im a double taurus: sun and moon.

I put everyone's feelings and needs ahead of my own and care for them more than my own well being.

What i've noticed is when they don't care about someone or have feelings for a person they can be heartless. But when the opposite they are far from selfish and will do ANYTHING for you, no matter how you treat them...

But do you ACT that way? If I analyze how I feel, I agree with you, but I dont act like it..

My libra sun/taurus moon friend is even worse. It irritates me beyond belief how she can talk about how much she cares about others, but her feelings and hers alone are what truly matter to her.. I love her to bits, but man..

This kinda proves my point, though.. Only if their feelers are stimulated will you get attention paid to YOUR feelings...

Ofcourse you'd put your emotions 1st, you have Moon on the angle: Its all about how YOU feel.

Ehhhh ....my Taurus moon is in the 11th, sometimes 12th house if you use whole signs (which IMO makes things simpler, but the majority uses Placidus). I agree with LionFish. I'm devoted and will do anything I can for someone until they deeply offend me. It can happen in one moment, so I understand what she means about having to be careful about Taurus moons or seeing them as childish. When that instant happens its like all the negatives about you that I pushed aside come bubbling up and I see you in the most negative light, and will cut you off without hesitation and never accept you back. Of course, this doesn't mean I'm heartless. I still care, buy again, if you reached that point it means several things: A) you've known me a long time, because I don't reach that point easily. B) since you've known me a long time you should understand my feelings C) taking A and B into account you completely chose not to hence deeming you as untrustworthy and an enemy. Anybody that's a Taurus moon's friend is their best friend I think, because Taurus moons can be very clingy and only those who can handle it stick. That means you know the depths of your Taurus moon's friends feelings hence there's no excuse for your offense, whatever it is.

Makes sense to me but then again I have Mercury in Aries and Sun in Aries so...

I've experienced how heartless they can be first hand without being provoked. This with 2 different people, my grandmother and a guy I used to like. I know that does not mean all are though

Makes sense for me and my chart, but not for the libra friend.. Hers is 11h, and shes more focused on herself than I am even.. Idk.. It's true that the things you dont like about yourself is what you can't stand in others and I don't particularly care for how "me" centered I can be.. It seems like she takes it to extremes, though..

I'm not sure about the definition of childish... to me, it would be a person who throws tantrums and it's only their emotions that count. My emotions mattering more to myself than someone else's seems a healthy way of feeling and relating. Again, not saying that I don't listen, understand and take account of how the other person is feeling, and I'm very empathic. But if ever push comes to shove, I choose me
Moon in Taurus in the 8th.

Does she have her Sun on the angle or Mars there?

The planet on the angle shows itself up a lot

Mars and venus in virgo exactly on her IC, but I thought planets on the IC were more internally prominant than externally

But then this makes no sense. If they dont have feelings for a person, why would they pretend they did or need to act with emotion when they dont have a connection to someone in the first place.

when feelings are involved they will do . anything for the person they care for.

How does that prove your point? Most people ,regardless of their moon sign, are that way.

No, most people arent "heartless" to someone bc they arent in their emotional sphere.. There is at least consideration for others..

It's more the reaction that taurus moons have, like hanna mentioned, that I was referring to as childish.. Maybe people would be less defensive if I said "child-like" sheesh

@Aquaguy - she's saying Taurus moons may have a tendency not to empathize with you unless you appeal to their emotions (relating to them, validating them). Not everybody is this way.

Some can be lacking in empathy, and some of those with their moon in the 1st are probably a bit more likely to be more selfish with their emotions, but I definitely don't find Taurus moons to be childish or child-like (generally speaking). Now Aries moons...that's another story .

Every sign has a shadow side. Unfortunately, I saw the shadow side with my exhusband who had his Moon in Taurus in the Taurean 2nd house. "What is mine is mine; what is yours is mine." Seriously could be his motto. My 7th house Pisces Moon disagreed. Selfishness IS childish.

I'm truly sorry you had to experience that in your marriage.. The one place anyone, no matter their moon sign, should take consideration for someone else.

I dont think everyone is taking what I said the way o meant it,to come across..

Hanna im glad you were here to translate my pisces merc rx convolutedness to regular, understandable english

Oh, I don't think it's your Pisces Merc that's the problem.

Well we will have to disagree with each other on that because it's been my experience that 99% of people are only out for themselves and those close to them. You say that taurus moons have a tendency to be heartless to those outside their emotional sphere but that is typical human behavior.

>_> the generalization

Most people are childish not because of their Moon or Sun sign but because most people are idiots to begin with.

I just don't see how what you are describing could be connected to moon in taurus. The truth is most people don't care about those outside of their emotional sphere. People are often even openly hostile to those outside their "circle", it's just a fact of life. Just look at the way I have been treated on this forum at times.

My ex had a Taurus moon and unfortunately started exhibiting the shadow side of the moon within a month into our relationship.

If he found you to be physically attractive, he would be very nice and charming. However, if he found you to be unattractive, then he would be unbelievably rude and treat you like crap. I find this attitude to be disgusting. There are plenty of people I find to be physically unattractive, but I don't consider that to be an excuse to disrespect them. Unless someone acts like an a**hole, then I will treat them with respect and kindness.

I also realized that only his feelings mattered to him. What HE wanted and what HE needed was all that mattered. When I broke up with him, it didn't matter that I no longer wanted to be in a relationship with him. He still wanted to be in a relationship, so he stalked me long after the breakup.
