Do you see a connection between your Venus house position and the romantic movies you enjoy watching or the kind of movies that you consider "romantic"?

I was watching "Casablanca" the other day and it just did not resonate with me at all. This despite it being called a "classic", I just didn't feel it.

I also caught wind of "Gone with the wind" and it also just did not impress me.I thought perhaps I am missing something.

The only movie that seemed to impress me-without me flinching- and it wasn't exactly what one would call "romantic",was "Life is beautiful"

The love story between them-before the whole Nazi invasion situation- was just so lovely.

I guess I love the idea of creating something beautiful in the simplest of ways within extraordinary and sometimes very painful circumstances. That gets me very teary-eyed.

I have Venus in Scorpio in 7th house- what's your choice?

Bonnie and Clyde? Really? Will add it on the "must watch" list.

What's your house position?

4th house, I don't know how it relates to my 4th house though, I think it's because they kind of had a family feel to eachother.

I've read the story but not watched the movie. But I think that you could have a point.

Oh my gosh this is embarrassing.

I don't watch movies anymore, but in written media my drug of choice is Edwardian romance. I love nearly everything about it. Most, probably, that there is no great drama, it's just ordinary everyday life(well, for only a certain class) and in this peaceful, quiet space, something magical is created. The constant and unexpressed sexual frustration is so fun to read. You KNOW it's going on, but no one is saying anything. You need to look for very subtle signs. It's refreshing when you're not being thrown things in your face.

I especially like Edwardian AU fanfiction. (oh the shame) I am a complete sucker for reimaginings of Pride and Prejudice in any possible iteration.

Venus in H6.

Its very fitting for the subtle nature of Venus in 6th to like things not being thrown "in your face". I get it

Lol I basically don't remember much of the movies I watch. I just watch them and forget the title right after.

Yeah, Virgo Venus in 6th here. That's why I love the movie "Dedication" with Billy Crudup, that guy is absolutely amazing!
The movie is weird and hilarious but also charming and subtle overall.

My 10th house Venus in Aries luurrrvvveeed Gone with the Wind.

I also like movies where a man who fits the 'loser' profile gets the woman.
A tamil movie called patheenaraam vayatinilae( when you are sixteen) made me teary eyed. The acting skills were out of the world type. Loved 'life is beautiful'.
Another movie 'paruthi veeran'. The girl convinces a very tough guy from a rival family to fall in love with her. He is in love with her but avoids her as he feels he is the wrong person for her. She gets him, eventually elopes, only to get gang raped by a group of men while running away from their village. The guy struggles to save her but couldnt. She was almost mutilated and dies immediately. The lover chops her to pieces to save her 'honour'(this part i didnt get). The villagers assume he murdered her and doesnt suspect rape, beat him to death. Eww. It was a very sad movie. Won many national awards.
There was another movie. Kathal.
Crap I have weird taste.
Venus in aries and chasing men. At least that fits.

Venus conjunct Saturn in Pisces in 8th house
I really love romantic movies during wartime. The thought of losing the partner at anytime adds a lot to the story. I also like romantic movies where the 2 people actually didn't end up with each other due to some tragedy.
My type of romantic movies:

The Great Gatsby
Titanic
Fault in Our Stars ( I bawled my eyes out!!)
Jane Eyre

I like dramatical romantic movies too… but also the subtle and out of the ordinary ones…
I like movies such as The last of the Mohicans, Titanic, Hidden dragon crouching Tiger, Moulin Rouge and yeah I even love Pretty Woman lol
I like when people from two different worlds meet up haha, that's exactly the theme from all those movies I listed!

I also like when the love is a little bit "forbidden", but the couple don't care because their chemistry is just so perfect… I like that fact, that two people can be so determined that they love each other and doesn't care about the rest of the world <3

I LOOOOVE romantic movies

Scorpio venus in 5th house…. I also love the more "Light" comedian kind of romantic movies, such as "10 things I hate about you", "How to lose a guy in 10 days" and all that…where two couples don't like each other at first, but is kind of forced to be together, and then they develop feelings<3

 How funny! Kristen Wiig is probably my favorite actress because she takes on roles where she's the outcast a lot, and yet she finds the nice guy in all her films and they have an intimate, peaceful relationship. So, I loved Bridesmaids, for sure. And Girl Most Likely. And recently watched Friends With Kids for a third time and thought "Wow, that'd be perfect!"

I have Venus in Aries in the 11th house.

venus in 4th house scorpio conj IC..
I like them like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Requiem for a Dream, Garden State, Natural Born Killers! Safety Not Guaranteed. American Beauty doesn't get old.

I guess none of those fit together. I like that weird messed up love/infatuation I guess. In movies, I mean.
