My mom can be like that, too. She's a Virgo Moon with an Aqua Sun, Mercury, and Venus and a Taurus Mars. Maybe it's all the fixed energy there. She isn't nearly as bad as some people I know/known though. Probably because we are so close that I tolerate it haha.

My brother can be pretty stubborn at times and he has some Taurus placements.

Taurus has a rep for being especially stubborn but it may not be as apparent as they usually don't need to share their thoughts with the world. Even when they do they usually just state their thoughts and then shrug off any contrary statements rather than rebutting them.

Virgo is reason and logic.Gemini is about making connection and seeing similarities.

Merc in Aries/Mercury aspect Mars/Mercury in 1st-

Argumentative and wants to "win". Doesn't easily "concede".

Merc in Taurus/2nd-

Tends to hold on to set beliefs and rejects complex arguments.They won't admit they are "wrong" but will reconsider if the opposing argument is practical and reasonable.

Merc in Gemini/Merc in 3rd-

Loves debating but for fun.They don't care who is "right" because they move on to the next point regardless.

Merc in Cancer/Mercury aspect Moon/Mercury in 4th-

Personalizes debates and can be defensive. Here there is no reasoning,only emotional perspective. These people need a gentle "humanistic" persuasion than facts and figures.

Merc in Leo/Mercury aspect Sun/Mercury in 5th-

Likes to hear the sound of their own voice. Don't criticize them in public and they'll admit they are wrong in private.

Merc in Virgo/Mercury in 6th-

They admit they are wrong due to some small detail that they may have overlooked. Don't like to be "wrong" though. And become self-conscious admitting it.

Merc in Libra/Mercury in 7th-

Always backtrack and flip flop.They see both sides of the coin and can find it difficult "wholly" agreeing to one end. They are not "wrong",they just always want to consider the other point of view(no matter how "ludicrous") LOL

Merc in Scorpio/Mercury in 8th/Mercury aspect Pluto-

Has ABSOLUTE opinions and may not easily share them. Doesn't get into debates and won't say that they are "wrong". They are just waiting for the other shoe to drop and for them to be "right"

Merc in Sagittarius/Mercury conjunct Jupiter/Mercury in 9th-

Mr. "Know it all" doesn't like admitting they are wrong at all. Doesn't believe that they can ever be "wrong". Thinks they are the only ones who see things objectively.

Mercury in Capricorn/Mercury conjunct Saturn/Mercury in 10th-

Are weary of offering their opinion unless they are ABSOLUTELY sure.

These people can admit that they are wrong but become severely annoyed at themselves for not checking the facts before voicing their opinion when they are.

They don't like to have their reputation as "experts" doubted.

Mercury in Aquarius/Mercury in 11th/Mercury aspect Uranus-

Has such a unique perspective(sometimes zany) that they may believe the opposing argument too "closed minded".

So they may say "Okay, I am wrong in as far as "mainstream" knowledge is concerned. But in the bigger scheme of things, you will see just how right I am."

Mercury in Pisces/Mercury aspect Neptune/ Mercury in 12th- D

Doubt themselves a lot.Here it isn't a question of admitting when they are wrong. They always believe they may be anyways and admit that freely by saying "maybe it's just me" or "I could be wrong of course".

Here the real crux for these people is knowing when they are right. This they may "know" intuitively, but not be able to convince other people through verbal combat. They make terrible debaters because they seem to just "lose" the plot.

The irony is of-course that it could be these very people who are more likely to be closer to seeing the "truth".

They see the many similarities of opposing arguments to know that nobody is "right" absolutely. "So why argue?" they say to themselves.

I have a friend that won't. I think she finds it a sign of weakness.
She does know though. She is not one to apologize she is one to be like non verbally lets move on and not bring it up again

Not always, but as I said, the ones with Virgo (critical, even of themselves) placements, or who are more highly evolved.

Add some Cancer placements in there, and nope. I rarely see Cancer placements willing to concede that they're in the wrong.

I agree with Scorpio Moons, also. I was just venting about a relative of mine who has a Scorpio Moon, and I swear that woman will twist words, argue semantics, and come up with the most ridiculous, absurd justifications for her behavior, all the while trying to turn it around on the person she's arguing with. It's actually worse than arguing with a child.

Aquarius can be at least reluctant to admit when they're wrong, unless you can prove it to them. And then they tend to get a chip on their shoulder, but it's not too bad. Just mildly annoying.

I can see how Pisces might not acknowledge that they're wrong if they don't believe that they are...but if a light bulb turns on in our brains, we (at least speaking for myself) will immediately acknowledge our behavior/actions, and seek to make things right.

Mutable signs in general don't seem to have as much trouble.

Fixed placements seem to have a great deal of trouble (Leo Mars, as example).

These are just my experiences, though.

I was pondering that as I was posting my last response, lol.

As much as I do love Virgo Suns, I believe you could be correct there. Thinking about all the ones I know (which are quite a few), I don't know if I've ever heard one acknowledge being wrong!

If they do acknowledge any faults that they have, they try to paint it as a basic human flaw (like everyone has that same flaw that they're admitting to). When my relatives do this, I'm sometimes like "Nope."

They seem critical of themselves alright, but maybe not entirely willing to admit when they're legitimately in the wrong? Unless we're talking paperwork. Then they will rake themselves over the coals if they've made an error.

Also, I didn't use to think Taurus could be like this, but there is a tendency do try to flip things on their side and make themselves the victim... As if YOU did they wrong or are you are the one acting badly for accusing them of things they didn't do (which they did). They do a bit of manipulating to their side too, but more in an innocent kind of way... Not in a malicious Scorpio way.
