I've been trying to search articles about "Yods" but they're quite hard to find! Hence, I would like to know what "Yods" mean in one's chart and how it translates in real life. How does one activate a yod purpose? Any celebrities with yods?

*following*I have a Yod in my chart involving Saturn in Cancer, Neptune in Sagittarius and Jupiter/Moon conjunction in Aquarius. I have absolutely no idea what it means! IP: Logged |

It's not a Synastry/Composite Yod. It's a natal chart Yod. IP: Logged |

There is a wonderful book I own on Yods, called The Yod Book by Karen Hamaker-Zondag. Besides having wonderful in-depth discussion on Yods, what they are, how they manifest in a native's life, and how they express themselves, she also talks about unaspected planets. But it's really a great, eye-opening book and it's probably only one of few ever written on Yods, so I highly recommend checking it out. I bought it on a whim a few months back at a holistic/spiritual bookstore, not entirely knowing or paying much attention to one that I have in my chart, but it ended up being one of the best decisions I've made in quite some time because it has validated and described things that I go through and have gone through and feelings I have had to a T.She also touches on celebrities that have Yods/unaspected planets in their charts, such as Carl Jung, Princess Diana, and a few others. I'm no expert at YOD's but I'm familiar with it's energy as I've come to understand my own. It seems your Yod wants to throw you into the complexities of what it means to understand the archetypes in all it's fullness - including all the paradoxes of duality as well. Saturn in Cancer already doesn't get along, and then you have Saturn quin. Moon which is related to Cancer as well. Both Saturn quin. Neptune and Saturn quin. Jupiter can be seen as archetypical as the limiting and restrictive nature of Saturn neither blend well nor understand the expansive nature of Jupiter or the nebulous energies of Neptune. Beyond those energies, the real purpose of the Yod will be determined by the houses involved, if you know your birth time. IP: Logged |
