I was wondering how squares play a part in our personality. More specifically if I have Sun square Neptune and Sun square Saturn - do I act like a Pisces or Capricorn / have that potential?IP: Logged |

Furthermore should you look up the horoscope to the planets you have squared? Say if you have one or more planets squaring them? Because I have 3 squaring both Sat and Nep and was wondering... I mean do whatever you want to do, but I'm curious if others have thought of it or why it doesn't work that way.IP: Logged |

There are much more astrologically intelligent people here, but as none have answered yet. I'll give my input. Squares I believe are where we struggle. Energies working against each other or a cause of friction, inner turmoil sometimes. I have moon (9th) in Gemini square Mercury and Mars (12th) in Virgo. - I analyze myself a lot in a harsh and critical way. - I often see my faults while ignoring my strengths. - I analyze, and often struggle to understand why I feel what I feel. - I often either have trouble communicating how I feel, or simply don't want to. - I often have confusion about how I should act on my feelings. Sometimes causing me a lot of nervous tension. Your sun square neptune for example, you may have delusional thoughts/beliefs/ideas about who you are or how others see you. Sun square Saturn... eh... I'm not really confident of my answer but I'd say that perhaps you are restrictive towards yourself. Perhaps lacking confidence as a whole...? IP: Logged |

Thank you DeepFreeze, that's nice of you to answer. Yes I agree about the personality traits you described - especially Sun square Neptune, but... are those typical of Pisces (or Capricorn) too therefore I'm an honorary Pisces or Capricorn?IP: Logged |

I have sun square Neptune so I have to ask: how do you mean? Do you mean that we believe people see us in a positive light when they really don't or vice versa? I thought this aspect was more indicative of an inferiority/martyr complex and/or a kind of dreamy/spaciness. IP: Logged |

Oh sure, you're welcome. I love to help if I feel that I can.In MOST cases, I wouldn't say that a planet aspect is the same as the sign placement. To me, the sign placement will bring out that signs qualities more completely, fully. Both the good and bad. Whereas the planet aspect in a square for example, will highlight more of the negatives and the struggles, combining the two signs as well. (Not to mention the houses but I'm leaving them out) So for your sun sign, my opinion is that you will still very much be that sign. That is "you". But, I mean I think there's a little mixture of everything. A little bit of the sign that rules the house that your sun sits in, a little Piscean/Capricorn because of the aspects (but more in a negative way), and on and on. At the end of the day though, it's my opinion that you are still very very much your sun sign. I forget your sign... I wanna say it's a fire sign? (Sag or Aries??) Anyway, it's all of those unique placements and aspects that I think makes us so individual. Something that makes me different to all other Leos, and each person a little bit different to all others of that sign. IP: Logged |

What I really meant by that was to be general. It may even vary from day to day, situation to situation, person to person. I just see it as not having a realistic view of yourself and/or how others see you. Not always, as in not every moment of every day but just something that these people may have to deal with. (Believing that you are more/less respected than you are, for example, and all sorts of things.) IP: Logged |

What you're saying goes hand in hand with the inferiority complex, so your'e probably right! I definitely struggle with a belief that people see me as weak or ugly or this or that. It's strange because I have a lot of personal confidence for the most part, but I'm very preoccupied with the way other people see me. I'm definitely seeing that as a sun square neptune thing now. Ahhhh no I meant Aries, and what else? ASC, Sun, Moon, Merc, Venus Mars? Jupiter and the rest? But since you asked Sun, Moon, Merc, Venus in the 11th house - which means I don't get people, basically. Mars and Jupiter in the 12th - yay, another supporting factor. Saturn, Uranus, Neptune in the 7th. Pluto in the 5th. Whoa. ___ Aries Sun Taurus Moon Aries Merc Aries Venus Gemini Mars Gemini ASC Gemini Jupiter Saturn in Capricorn Uranus in Capricorn Neptune in Capricorn Pluto in Scorpio IP: Logged |

Well this is something I've picked up on from Sag moons...is that they want to appear so nonchalant and nearly ALL I've met have described themselves as sociopathic, but when you make them mad or hurt their feelings they get so emotional. I just wondered why they don't own this, and do they know how obvious they are or am I just able to sense it better because I'm so Aries? IP: Logged |

I'm guessing that would depend on other planetary placements and especially aspects to the moon. I'm Cancer rising, and I'm more than willing to admit that I can be an emotional person. I wouldn't describe myself as sociopathic. Optimistic, yes. Avoidant of problems, yes. Not sociopathic. I will say the description you're giving sounds more like me when I was younger. I would try to hide my feelings and act like I wasn't an emotional person. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with being a sagittarius moon, but I did this because I wanted to appear strong and I saw emotion as weakness. And sometimes the feelings just really are too painful, so being a sagittarius moon who just wants to be happy all the time, it's easier to pretend you don't feel them. I have been in some terrible emotional pain before...like, not gnawing, back of my mind emotional pain, but real, present, cutting emotional pain; but I would ride around in the car with a big smile on my face and sing my heart out and act like nothing was wrong at all. My friends wouldn't even know anything had happened. So yeah...I guess we just want to be happy all the time so it's hard to admit when we aren't. And we want to be strong. IP: Logged |

How do you do that?! How do you heal that way if you don't face the emotions?? That reminds me of my Sag sun friend, and more than anything I just want to be a shoulder he can lean on but seeing as how he has a Capricorn moon I don't know how to make that happen aside from letting him know.IP: Logged |
