What's the difference?

Why is Venus exalted in Pisces but doesn't function well in 12th? How's about neptune conjuct venus?

Venus/Pisces to me is like Guinevere who tried like crazy to resist Lancelot because she did love King Arthur but not like that. The love between Lancelot and Guinevere was fated.

Venus/12th are those caregivers who make a difference. You're sick, you're at a low point and this person helps you and it is comforting.

Venus/Neptune well there is some illusion/delusion here, something is not quite on the up and up, where it's coming from is hard to tell.
Could be a double life, could be an addiction, could be blind faith, could be a movie star

My fiancee has Pisces Venus in 12 conj Asc. He is....ummmm.....somewhere else most of the time :-/ I can REALLY feel its 12H placement. I have a progressed stellium in 12H Virgo incl Venus and sq Neptune so I am used to the energy.

@laland: I have the neptune conjunction at .02 degree. And I'm finding all the conjunction interpretation to be pretty much the same as the square but my thought is that the conjunction would feel lots more internal...I'm a little foggy on this lol

@charlie: my guess is it's the 12th... I know 3 pisces venus and it's hard to tell the influence but they seem to be very diplomatic and charming and responsive to peoples mood

Foggy describes Neptune.
With your conjunction so close why not use this energy and expand on it.
This is a great aspect to have for anything artistic (poetry?)

He is a sponge for emotions and it's painful for him sometimes. I can affect him a lot with my moods.

Because I don't understand it well. I feel like I need a how-to guide on navigating neptune

I think because the 12th has something to do with past karma issues one have to resolve so every planet that lands in this house one have to deal with that planet`s past karma. While neptune-venus aspects i think just add a "piscean" influence in ones love style. For example a cap venus conj nep might make that cap venus person a bit more compassionate, romantic or even idealistic than a "typical" cap venus is but they will also always have the influence of cap in their love style. But venus in pisces shows their love in this way, this is their "style" . I think its exalted in pisces bc pisces is a very loving sign so venus feels a bit more "home" in this sign.

While they may all function in similar ways, my understanding is there are marked differences.

Venus in Pisces - is how Venus expresses herself.

Venus in the 12th - this is where Venus searches/finds love. Her one true love will likely never know it, or be someone she can't bring into the open.

Venus/Neptune - are the experiences/romantic partners Venus will attract. Neptunian types.

Like venus in Pisces, venus is exalted in the 12th house...so yes, a good placement.

I have Venus-Neptune in Sag.

I wouldn't say my husband is Neptunian but our relationship is. As I described here.
