What sign rules your 8th House? Do you believe that it has serious impact on how you will die? But my Mother passed away just a couple of weeks ago and that is what made me curious; She had Cancer over her 8th House -- she passed away with her family surrounding her, my Aunt caressing her, and me holding her hand. I personally have Taurus over my 8th - Venus sits in there also. Here's what the website above stated about this...
Taurus: Since Taurus is ruled by Venus, this usually shows a very peaceful passing; a bitter-sweet death. Could be related to your throat or neck, over-eating, diabetes, or some "earthy" way.. natural disasters, etc. These natives are usually quite old when they pass. I also have Taurus 8th, with Jupiter there, sn, and Lilith.
Venus sits in the 12th. It's what I've been told in readings. That I'll live long and die peacefully.
I have to agree about overeating/diabetes. I'm not overweight but I eat like a pig and love my sweets! IP: Logged |

Does this frighten you at all? My baby brother has Aries over the 8th and it now makes me nervous for him. My Mother was always worried about him being caught up with the wrong crowd, being out there on his own, being in an accident, etc. IP: Logged |

I've always imagined myself living a wild short burst of life but all signs of my natal points to an extended stay.I never thought about the sign cusp - mine is Sagittarius.

I have Capricorn on my 8th, and ruler Saturn actually happens to be there as well. Though I do have an intercepted 1st/7th house. So without interceptions I'd have Aquarius on the 8th. But since I have them, I naturally go by Cap ruling my 7th and 8th.With Cap and Saturn there, it'd be nice to think I might live longer I guess. But then again I've never been one to worry or care much about when I might pass honestly. I know physical death is inevitable, at least biologically speaking. I should probably start learning to keep myself more active though... If I went by Aquarius being there instead, well...at least it said 'usually painless' lol. I have jupiter ruler of 8th (Sag) in 5th. Maybe I'd die in the hand of my lover? I also have 9th stellium. My death seems very 9th house related .... Like death abroad, in a library, in an accident involving a publisher, while giving a lecture at a university, ...

Jupiter and Mars in Tau in the 7th
Sun and Mercury intercepted in Gemini 8th

Death far from home... what exactly is meant by 'far from home'? If it's far from where I grew up, then I won't argue there. Aside from that, I've got Hades and Demetra(1) here. I'm guessing surrounded by my family and rather taboo death rites (Dios in 9H)?------------------

I have 8th house Sun in Aries. Cusp is in late pisces, though. Reading the link scared me. I'm nearly anemic. Sun is trine pluto, mars in leo, pof in leo exact, and jupiter with no malefics so I think I'll be OKIP: Logged |
