Just want to drop in and say she does have quite a few placements in Capricorn... Mercury, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune are all in Capricorn in her chart, and Mercury, Neptune and Saturn are all conjunct. I think this gives her a bit of Cap energy to her expression. Maybe that's why some people are picking up that sign from her.However, I think a Capricorn Asc (on top of all the Cap she already has) would give too much of a serious vibe to suit Taylor's style. Especially since she also has Moon and Jupiter in Cancer, and Mars in Scorpio (also introverted signs). The Leo Asc suits her upbeat, girlie vibe. As do her Sag Sun, and Cap planets in the 5th house with a Leo Asc, and her Moon and Jupiter in the 11th house. Astrologically the 11th house represents the 'audience', how we receive attention and feedback, and how we observe society. 11th house people think a lot about social dynamics based on what they see and receive from others around them. Astrologically the 5th house represents the 'performance', how we express and display our talent and passion to others, and how we experience our feelings in the moment. 5th people have a natural ability to make a big deal out of their own experiences. The interplay between these two houses totally suits Taylor. Especially, how she kind of makes fun of her own exes and relationships, and the way she writes about love in her songs... A lot of them are very observational (11th house), and some are very romantic (5th house). Some are both. It all seems very Aqua/Leo to me. Also, she has Venus in Aquarius to go with that Leo Asc. Astrodatabank now says she's a Scorpio rising (25 degrees - 5.17am) according to an unauthorised biography. I still think she's seems Leo Asc though, maybe because the sun would still be in her 1st. IP: Logged |

When I said they change the ascendant like we change clothes people threw rocks on me  Where do they get the TOB?Not even astrobank can know for sure.Is not a 100% reliable source as people thinks.The only true source would be the certificate,until there all they have is guesses. being tall+slender, as well I've
read the Mercury edge of Gemini
lends to a nice singing voice.
I've known Sun Gems, never Asc Gems

I see similarities between her/Sandra Bullock. Even a wee bit of Drew Barrymore, Gertie from E.T. (Yes, I'm old). She's like the American Sweetheart gal of this era. Girl's like her, men adore her and she is talked about often. Leo could then be her 3rd house. How she communicates. She might 'come off as a Leo'.
9th would be Aqua. (MC and NN) Uranus, electric. She exudes electric flair. Maybe it's a 3/9 Leo/Aqu axis?
Added: I just tried drawing her chart based upon a 17° Gem rising she wouldhave Cancer/Moon in TAU natural 2nd H. Good placement for music (voice) talent. plus Asteroid Tone would be in her creative H5.Which Libra is Venusian (Music, art and beauty) plus Talent sits in that H too.
(in the case anyone is serious about her true AC, I'm a mystery mind so here are some extra possible portions to a Gem rising TS) Additionally she admitted to self esteem issues once in an interview I found via a search. That supports Chiron in the 2nd.

I'd honestly say Capricorn. She has the knobby knees and bony structure that Cap is known for, and looks physically almost exactly like two friends I have with Cap asc. Could also however be Gem...BUT, in some of her interviews, she does come across as a bit COLD and harsh, which capricorn is known for.
And here's another interview to get a feel. Most is staged but she's got that edge. It's almost like she hates the whole thing, and Cap really prefers to keep their private life private.
