I've heard bad things about Saturn transiting over one's moon and I think I'm starting to feel the effects of it. A very gloomy "What is the point of life" disposition is looming over me. I hope I don't fall into a bad depression.

I would REALLY appreciate advice on how to best deal with this transit since it lasts so darn long. I don't have much of a support system at all. I have no family and only 2 friends that I've only known for a year since I moved here so, I don't want to burden them with stuff. If anyone's gone through this transit or known someone who has, can you share your experiences? advice on what worked for you? What didn't?

Hey, I went through this exact transit during Saturn in Scorpio. It was tough, yeah, but I think I would have done some things differently to make it easier on myself.

I think, because things got so hard, I did fall into a very depressed mindset. I think I kept focusing on what was wrong instead of what was right or what I could do to make things right. That went on for many months until the conjunction aspect passed.

I know it sounds cheesy to give advice like, "Look on the bright side." I won't say that exactly. But, it can become very easy to dwell in the gloom when transiting Saturn conjuncts the Moon. So, just try and be as constructive as possible and develop the patience to wait until it all passes.

The good thing about astrology is that it gives you the tools to deal with situations like this.

That was actually really helpful and not cheesy at all. Would you mind if I asked mean when you say 'things got so hard'? Were there life events? Or was it all internal?

Are you just curious about experiences, or are you about to go through a Saturn transit to your Moon?

Also, are you interested in Soft aspects or Harsh aspects?

I'm about to experience it. My stellium will be Trining Saturn for a while, but that's before he hits my moon.

Jupiter is trining my moon Natally (almost exact) so when saturn conuncts my moon it will also be trining Jupiter. Not sure if that makes any real difference.

I am going through this transit at the moment and it isn't fun then again transit saturn is opposing my ascendant as well. Everything just seems to suck at the moment. But taking time out to spend time with my friends has helped.

Ok. So, literally between my last post and now I found out that my grandmother died... one month ago. My last remaining grandparent. People tried to contact me, but they couldn't for complicated reasons I won't go into. (lotta family drama).

I'm not crying or anything because I accepted this possibility a while ago because I did get to say my last goodbye to her sort of Though I do wish I wasn't a month late. She made my Prom dress back in high school (it was too baggy, but hey it got me to prom.) May She Rest in Peace.

And I just found this about Saturn transiting moon:

The total period is usually characterised by:

"1)Being cut off from God’s grace, so you have to stand on your own two feet with the divine purpose that you will learn the strengths and limitations of that.
2) Usually you will find you have associated with people who are wrong for you – so that you learn not to do this
3) Usually you will find you have embraced wrong ideas for you, with the divine purpose of guiding you to your right ideas.
4) There’s often a big move of house
5)*THERE IS OFTEN A DEATH IN THE FAMILY CIRCLE*
6)You will confront various unanticipated problems. There maybe loss of position and dishonour.
7)You may feel like a rat who will be offered a tasty food only to be trapped inside the cage."

Not sure what the last one means, but #5's happened. sheesh. And it's not even over my moon yet!

No fan of Saturn me, but

Saturn is also the God of achievement & material prosperity.

quote:
7)You may feel like a rat who will be offered a tasty food only to be trapped inside the cage."

This would only happen if the rat didn't earn the food. That sounds Neptunian - trickery. Saturn would never tease you like that.

Same thing here - Moon at 7° Sagittarius. The same feeling 'what's the point of all this' is starting to make its way into my thinking space. Hope it doesn't trick me into quitting my job again.

Since most aspects are part of a cycle, I'd advise you to look back last time Saturn was in a mutable sign (Virgo). That experience should provide clues on what to expect this time around.

A conjunction denotes a fresh start, brand spanking NEW. I'll speculate that you should have greater control over things than in the past with the squares & opposition aspects.

That's interesting. Why in a mutable sign?

Sagittarius is a mutable sign (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces). Thus a transit here will be picking up the themes from the last time it traveled here.

Saturn is now transiting Sagittarius, 'til December 2017

Which house does your Moon rule?

Transit Saturn conj Moon, is like the climax. He will reward you for you doing anything he values. For example, completing tasks in a structured, practical approach. Also discipline and dedication. He's going to severely test you, but he does tell you what the test is about.

I was fortunate enough to have Transit Saturn sextile Moon (in late Oct 2014) and it felt like he was rewarding me for my hard work of getting into university and my studies which I guess made sense because my Moon rules my 9th house, right?

I also recently felt Saturn's heavy side which is what you might be anticipiating, when Saturn quincunx Venus. Venus is my 7th house and 12th house ruler and Saturn was making me feel depressed about being with my then Girlfriend. He was saying 'it's time to step back'. We agreed to and as soon as I did. I felt on top of the world. (That's because Saturn let me go!)
Also in relation to the 12th house; the 12th house is about finishing ties and projects or things coming to an end, which is one reason why it ended.

The difference here is, your Moon might rule a different house to me, so it will affect you in a different way!

Right ok, my Moon rules the 9th house, but is in the 11th house.

So from experience, both your 3rd and 11th houses will be tested. But it seems that your 11th house will be tested more.

You may experience loss of friends, but this isn't always a bad thing; because some friends 'aren't' worth being your friend. It's like Saturn comes along and clears away all the superficial friends you might have and leaves only the strongest allies. Your goals, dreams and aspirations are likely to come to light. They will either be thwarted or come to life; depending on how realistic and how much you've worked on them. Saturn may also give you a chance to rework these areas, if you've been neglecting them lately.

In terms of the 3rd house, your communication is likely to suffer in some way, but don't worry! You can overcome this! Make sure you communicate clearly and effectively; you'll have no problem. Also you might become more talkative (if you aren't already) once the transit has passed. Seeing as it's your Moon being hit, you might have some issues with Women or your mother. (Tell me if i'm wrong about this!) Also, if you have any siblings, especially older siblings; you are likely to have a ceasefire of communication with them.

If you need help understanding, please give me a shout!

Hope this helps

Oh, well, good. Haha. There were life events because it passed through my 10th. A few dramatic failures and that was the source of the depression mainly. Feeling stuck in my career path, like I wasn't going anywhere. And that continued on throughout the transit in my 10th.

But, I've realized now that the lesson from that was that I was basing too much of my happiness and security on what I was achieving. So, Saturn cleared that away to make me grow. To teach me how to fail and to show me that failure can sometimes yield success, if you have the patience and the foresight. That's what I recommend with Saturn. Try to figure out what the transit's teaching you and remain open to that wisdom and maturity. Then, it gets better. It may still suck, on some level, but your attitude can make all the difference.

WOW! That is exactly what I'm feeling right now. I gave up on achieving a dream of mine years back and now suddenly I'm looking back and being hit with that decision like a ton of bricks! I find myself wanting to give it another shot (although it's likely too late now). All these memories from my childhood are surfacing and I can't control it. And I haven't spoken to my siblings (I'm the oldest) in years due to reasons that had very little to do with them personally, but I miss my brother so much. I've always missed him, but now suddenly it's like, I can't bear it and I want to go see him. As for friends... sheesh I've only have one for the past few years so losing them would be tragic. Here's hoping we survive this. I may need to consider going on anti-depressants as Saturn continues to go towards my moon. Most of my planets (Sun,Venus, Merc, Jupiter) are all in the 11th house.

A good time to have Pearl or Moonstone on the body. It stabilizes and strengthens the lunar emotional energy within you.

If the Lunar energy is already strong in the natal, some Amethyst or another Saturn stone like Blue Sapphire, Blue Spinel, Iolite, or Kyanite. This is the harmonizing approach which emphasizes the elevated, beneficial Saturn principle.

I had this around 2014. I tried to quit smoking. Was successful for 4 months. I got more serious about college too. Conjunction transits are not bad. I did not experience any pain or depression. I might of had short phases of sulking. Like who doesn't. I guess some people don't barely ever? LOL Scorpio is also my 6th house.

Now Aquarius Saturn did a number on me in it's final phase. With all the other transits going on I was completely beat down by life to a whole new extreme. It squared my moon and Uranus was opposing my moon. What else??? Oh Chiron square Chiron.

I can sort of relate as a 6 degrees Venus Pisces. Venus oppose Venus was one of the worst transits I've ever experienced.

But back to Saturn Pisces. I got divorced. But I filed when Saturn was conjunct my Mars.

I left ex husband when Saturn was square my Moon.

I am starting to feel my freedom. I had some fun affairs with Saturn here in Pisces. But now I kind of feel like taking a step back and evaluate my life. I just feel like I got to do some errands and self love, and girlfriends, pet my friends dogs and cats.

My advice is...because this is what I am doing right now to cope with Chiron square Neptune transit mostly:
*get rid of things that don't serve you anymore.
*Try not to keep things from toxic people. Example stuff from exes, gifts from b!tchy coworkers, hand me down clothes from unsupportive relatives. When I feel like I can't get away from a toxic person and I just dread being around them. I start to pitch their stuff in the trash or donate it. It feels great. And makes a difference.
*listen to your gut
*pay attention to things you feel are omens and signs
*it's okay to take a lot of time to think and evaluate your life.
*don't give up on your to-do lists even if life completely knocks you on your arse for months on end. I was so knocked down by life that I couldn't cross anything off my to do list for basically 3 months.
*try to take a vacation or at least use up all of your personal days. I am using one for traveling. Another I've used for getting my legs and twat waxed. I might use another one for the day after my birthday. It's cheaper to rent a party bus on Sunday. But I am worried about being hung over on Monday. Or see if I could just come in the afternoon. That day because it's sort of short notice at that point.
*once my life calms down (3 life transitions at the same time) I dedicate about on hour to cleaning everyday. I feel so much better in my room now. And it took a lot of work.
*I light candles.
*I diffuse essential oils. Current EO is ginger. (good for immune system and used in speed up spells in witch craft. Said to be protective against evil)
*Practice actual "witch craft" that aligns with me. (no offense taken if you are not comfortable with this)
*Place fresh flowers in your home. For me personally once they start to wilt I either need to throw them out or dry them for a sachet. Seeing them wilt or die in a vase is not good my my psyche.
*I am way too paycheck to paycheck right now to be frivolous and buy flowers at the grocery store. Luckily I can pick flowers for free where I am now. I picked some blue snowdrops today. Snow drops are said to be ruled by Saturn. I've also read that they are good for life transitions. No does transitions better than Saturn/Capricorn. Plus they are one of the first flowers of spring. It really is helping my mentality to be patient for my blissful life. That everything I'm doing now to just take time for myself will benefit me later.
*Listen to music that validates your feelings.
*Sage home every so often. Keep window open. Sage is like a clean slate to anything. Add something positive in your space after. (décor, light candle, incense stick, a picture, etc.)
*cleanse gems in whatever way you please. charge them in what ever way you please. I will say it wasn't until a few years ago that I would charge them on a full/moon eclipse. Powerful results.
*take vitamins
*eat fruit and veggies
*don't forget your proteins
*get sleep. This can be easier said than done. If having issues maybe wind down earlier, or look into to sleep remedies. I have a ton, because I've had sleep issues for many years now.
*sometimes you just need a DRINK
*sometimes you just need iced tea from like whole foods.
*try to keep unsupportive and dismissive people at arms length.
*make time for supportive people
*try to see a cranial sacral specialist or manual therapist
*get a manicure, bonus for pedi. super bonus for nail art.
*get a massage and do spa stuff
*if you take a bath use the bombs, bubbles, candles, Epsom salts, essential oils and all that jazz. Some people say to not leave the tub until all the water drains out. I do see/feel a difference when I do this.
*smoke a dubbie around unbearable people. Don't need to get completely toasted maybe just one hit.

Advice I need to take that I haven't yet but want to.
*do a hair mask.

@Sven555: you are right about the mommy issues. I had some flare up with my mom. I mean I have ever since I was a teen. LOL But the Saturn square Moon transit takes the cake. My therapist said I need to establish boundaries with my mom. And I was not on speaking terms with my sister for two weeks.

Oh another advice I have is journal or brain dump on LL. Looking at astrology can really help too. I can see why I am feeling off and when it will pass.
