Yeah especially when its in fixed signs mine and my ex's suns were squared by 2 deg in fixed signs, ascendants quincunx and my sun quincunx his asc also. We had some great times and lasted for almost 6 years but there was definitely some communication breakdowns/difficulties and a lot of stubbornness on both sides

Yes, I think people of squared signs should be together if they love each other. The difficulty is in understanding the love is not complete at the start and has to be built piece-by-piece through compromise, which fixed signs often seem to not want to practice.

And it is best if the synastry tabulates a majority of positive aspects over negative ones.

Fixed signs, however, can hold planets/points that are parallel or contra-parallel each other. This creates synastry that can be a basis of communication and compatibility. In other words not all 'squared signs' are equal.

This is because of Declinations: http://kannonmcafee.wordpress.com/Declinations/ ... scroll to Planets in supposedly "incompatible" signs ...

Stubbornness can be overcome as a part of ego. Determine what is worth your stubbornness and what is not. Most particulars are not. Such fixity in attitudes is to set our values and principles into a solid place, which may be the purpose in incarnating with such factors in our birth chart.

I think some squares are more compatible than others.
Scorpio/Leo is a very compatible "power couple".
Cancer/Libra can work out quite well because both are kind hearted and polite - so they can agree to disagree on many things.

It also depends on the rest of your chart. I'm an Aries with Moon and Mars in Capricorn and I have very smooth relationships with Capricorn people. But I often find Cancer energy (mainly the Sun and Moon in Cancer) - difficult to deal with.

I was in a 3-year relationship with a Taurus sun -- I'm a Leo -- and I still think of him fondly. The whole chart must be considered. (No, I don't want to get back with him)

Actually, one thing I'd say is that if your signs have the same quality, it may actually be favorable for the union because it can mean that things are more "equal," so to speak. I would say that Cardinals might have more of an issue, because they like to be in charge. I've never dated a Cardinal sun so I can't say. But I've had relationships with three fixed sun signs and one mutable (we are talking relationships that last at least a year, here).

Squared signs also share yin/yang compatibility.

Surprisingly, I do.

I have attracted mostly Scorpio & Tauruses throughout my entire dating life because that's what my chart is mainly made up of..

Until recently.. i would have never thought of being attracted to an Aquarius let alone develop romantic feelings because I just assumed we were so different irregardless of the synastry and composite.

Boy was I wrong.

For example: I have a stellium in Scorpio with many intense aspects but Uranus is in my 8th house & I also have uranus sexyile sun, ascendant, and square my moon so I am pretty much uranian also.

Point being..

I met an Aquarius guy with a Pisces Moon/Mercury, Venus/Mars Aquarius who is taking up quite a bit of my time and energy these days!

Saturn conjuncts his Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus while Pluto squares his Sun, Mercury and Venus.

Scorpio rules my 7th house.
Scorpio rules his 3rd house.

This is just a few minor aspects I've noticed that can balance out our squared Suns.

We have amazing synastry and composite.

Just him entering my life has allowed me to think outside of the box in almost every way possible.

You never know.

I never would've thought I would be drawn to someobe who's supposedly so flighty but those saturn and pluto aspects adds some stability and passion which is enough for all of my Scorpio intensity.

Not to mention his Pluto is almost exactly conjunct my Scorpio descendant. we also have Pluto conjunct north node in synastry and composite.

Hopefully everything works out!

Ditto. I gel better with Libra than Aries/Cap Moon.I am Cancer Moon.

I think it could be because Libra is Venus-ruled?Thereby less harsh than Aries/ Capricorn.

This is all very interesting. The reason I'm bringing this up isn't even for romantic reasons my family has a lot of squares too me
Aries Capricorn
Aquarius Taurus
Libra Capricorn
Etc
They call me the most stubborn person they ever meet. :3 I love them but outside of my family I rarely have any square aspects in my friends . But my family and I have the most epic fights :/

Yes almost everyone I've dated had some inner planet in a fixed sign that isn't leo. I'm an aqua sun and mercury. I really admire the fixed signs because they posses traits that i... admire lol. I look up to people that are tenacious, stubborn and will fight for what they belive in. Even if they are dead wrong I admire that they can be passionate and stuborn about something without simply changing with the winds at a moments notice.
