Astrology cannot function properly when based on simplistic sign-based stereotypes, especially when applied to entire nations.

I would agree on both points. However, Bailey's work doesn't fall into this category.

Yes. I knew it was in use at least before the third republic. But I didn't go back to check nor what sun it was under at the time. Though I still think it is fitting for the current libra encarnation (so to speak).

Though I prefer this motto:

Ugh! Doesn't the picture show?

I believe Austria or the Hapsburg Empire was Leo. Once upon a time they competed with France for title of cultural heart of Europe.

Libra is fitting for France. I believe Spain may also be Libra, as well as Italy.

I always thought Russia was a water sign. Not Scorpio. I know the Soviet Union was Scorpio. But I think Russia may be Pisces.

Right now we are having transit Pluto opposed Sun and square Saturn. Very fitting considering our President is trying to destroy us from the inside out. Our weaknesses are all being exposed and all we can do is sit here looking foolish!

We started having issues back in 2008 when our economy crashed right as Pluto entered capricorn, our MC is libra@0.53.
Then Pluto moved opposite our cancer Jupiter@5, Venus@3 conjunction.
We won't be out of it for awhile we still have
Mercury cancer@24
Pluto cap@28
A Pluto return should be interesting!! I think I will visit another country for a few years!

I missed this.... "Our president is trying to destroy us from the inside out"? The US (or any country) astrologically is not represented by one person but by the governing body.

It is the government in general that is harming the country with their continued resistance to working together in any shape or form. The bi-partisan BS is out of control. Democracy is about working together for the good of everyone. Not digging in your heels because you can't get your way.

You can't blame the president alone for this ****-up. At least two branches of the government are at fault here. I'd be so bold as to say actually all three of them, with some shockingly back rulings by the Supreme Court thrown in for good measure.
