I used to bother people all the time with what I'd talk about and think. I could be said to be "dark" though more in a "talking plainly about things people don't normally speak plainly about" (so in a sense I could be shedding light on what most others want to keep in the dark and thus ironically get called dark for it), but also accepting of many odd and outright taboo concepts. I have a Libra (Scorpio cusp) and Sag stellium with Jupiter (and some asteroids) in Scorpio between them and I see he has similar influences. As a kid (especially in rural East Texas) some even thought I was a member of a Satanic cult (often with literal demons). Yet I still had friends (ranging from one close friend to a great many) so I didn't alienate everyone. While many have or had "dark" aspects (not necessarily morbid or taboo, mind you) not all did. I did learn to show more discretion as I got older but sometimes it still slips out. One funny time was a few years ago when some neighbors from Alabama took me for a fairly typical Texan (I neither confirmed nor denied that and let them think what they wanted, they were just neighbors I wanted to get along with but I wasn't particularly close to them) when I got called over to find them watching a dvd of the 2005 King Kong movie. I was very careful not to make snarky comments (as a 5H Sag with a Libra mercury on the Scorpio cusp can) as one asked (as King Kong was tearing up NYC) if this movie was based on real life events and the others couldn't say. But then I was asked. At that point I slipped up, first saying, "Snopes might say. But maybe so since the Principia Discordia said King Kong died for our sins." I knew I'd stepped into it when they asked what that was (and couldn't even pronounce it) and I gave a brief explanation of her as the goddess of chaos that brought about change and growth as well as teaching some harsh lessons against ego (with the Apple of Discord as an example) and they were disturbed that I knew this. And when one said the goddess sounded scary (and I got the impression she thought I sounded scary right then) I said, "All the gods have a negative side, just read the Old Testament. Or even Jesus who cursed a fig tree for not producing fruit outside the season God had designated for it anyway. The only deity I can think of offhand without a dark side is Guanyin and that's probably because I don't know that much about her." They kept me at a distance ever after that and I think I scared them. I'm less careful about hiding that aspect on LL and you can see an example of me disturbing people here: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/231032.html People can get the wrong idea and not realize that I'm actually fairly positive in attitude while acknowledging the grim realities (and having a gallows humor). For example, some think that because I don't believe in a benevolent universe that I'm against any form of charity but ironically I've volunteered a lot more and gave more (at least percentage wise) away than many who are constantly "I'll pray for you" and "have faith" because I believe my actions matter and are important all the more whereas if I thought the universe was kind and loving then I wouldn't bother (other than to "remind" the universe with prayer). He's optimistic in the passion to turn his life around. Humorous. Doesn't allow what he was subjected to to define his future. Hopeful.
He's dark, in what he conveys in his drawings. Interest in death. Vengeful thinking often towards ppl. Explorative, naughty intimacy. Likes to tap into someone's darkest secrets. Sounds obsessive. Still confused?? IP: Logged |

He sounds a lot like me...very optimistic about healing and life even though we've been through hell and back.I also have a very dark side that I only show at times. I'm usually pretty bubbly but then I get sick of being like that and turn dark it's kind of where I feel safe. My Pluto conjunct AC, Sado conjunct Pluto/AC And Nessus on Mars. I get told often I intimidate ppl when I'm not bubbly, so I've learned to intentionally try to keep my bubbly side running the majority of the time, it makes others feel more comfortable around me. But when I'm thinking or healing I'm super intense and can't help it. My poetry is dark and scares some ppl. Im drawn to darker things they feel more comfortable to me. I like to scare or shock myself it makes me feel alive. I like to shock other ppl also when I'm in my intense moods...it cracks me up for some reason. I also have the Sun/Merc combust although I don't feel it has quite the intense negative affect that Ami does but that's just a difference in perspective. We've had unique life experiences regarding that and those experiences have led us to see things differently. We are both correct in my opinion because we base our thoughts off our personal life experiences. I agree with Pixie about talking plainly and realistically about things others are afraid of or shun speaking about ...I do that also and it makes ppl think your off or bad but really all you want is someone who is not afraid to talk about the things that are hidden so that they are no longer hidden or seen as bad. Nothing is bad or good, it's all just perspective and perspective is based off judgement. We don't judge like others do so things are not off limits to us like they are to others. We accept both the bad and good as having merit that needs to be explored. IP: Logged |

I do the same. (Among other things) Well anyway, I think house placement here could answer a lot. I have a feeling it's something in the way his houses are set up. Mine is I'm pretty sure. Pluto conjunct asc. Mercury mars conjunct in my 12th I think plays a huge role. I also have waldemath moon and priapus exactly on Pluto, conjunct asc. Nessus on mc. Lucifer on my sun... I don't know asteroids very well so I'm not sure if any of those really matter but perhaps. Medusa on Venus. So much crap it's ridic. IP: Logged |

Pixie Jane I really enjoyed your writing. Had many areas of laughter But this here: I used to bother people all the time with what I'd talk about and think. You aligned me with a better approach, towards his personality. I'd see myself enjoying you in a social atmosphere! Absolutely! IP: Logged |

You saw my post before I edited that part out about my poem!! I didn't want ppl to think i was in a bad place or mental or something. Lol That's ok, who cares what everyone thinks...I'll post one, my favorite one...just sec. "Suicidal" © copyright 2011 Outside, does the sun even shine anymore Crying, curled up on the cold kitchen floor Alone, staring through a wall as hours go by Empty, a chill that runs through you, again you start to cry Silence, dead quiet sits in your ear Rolling, down your cheek the wetness of your tear Beating, so heavy is the heart dying in your chest Green, so bright against the red eyes you cant rest Spiraling, quietly falling deeper and deeper into a hole Numb, a pain thats calmly went out of control Racing, thoughts you can't stop running through your head Suicide, the thought of wanting to be dead

DeepFreeze, you sound intriguing and I'm not well versed in that Lucifer on your Sun. I have so much more learning to do and this mind has a hard time absorbing a lot of information. But, I am always drawn to the more penetrating personalities naturally.

Gabby,Wow that was a very raw, beautifully conveyed piece of art. Am I wrong for saying that? lol I hope not! I just admire the craft of bringing emotions through the arts, however pensive and "dark" it really is. I didn't quote you, because I thought you'd want to delete it, though copyrighted. To me it was an awesome flow of the deepest places within you. Glad you're triumphant!!! IP: Logged |

Thank you, to me expressing the darkness helps me to deal with it and move on from it. Kind of sounds like your guy has some if those same kinds if needs. What's great about it is, if we find someone that does allow us to talk about the taboo things we feel and sense we can deal with those things better, if not they can start to consume us or overwhelm us to the point we need to act out. Worry when they stop talking more than when they are open about that dark kind of stuff. Here is a link to another one I wrote and posted here long ago... http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum27/HTML/001889.html IP: Logged |

Totally agree Gabby. Seems like I'm the first female to make him feel open to divulge all of those "shhh" characteristics he has. I failed to mention, after 3 weeks of conversations he says he's in love. I don't mind thorough honesty, but that made my jaw drop. So this intensity (though I don't mind it) is still a different level of intensity. My acceptance of him as is, has forged a stronger attachment and yes he's coming off obsessive by what he's expressed.
But at the end of the day, you are who you attract in a few ways. As mentioned I love Pluto energy, because I relate. And just as you said, it's refreshing to bond with those alike basically. IP: Logged |

Finding ppl who get that side of us and allow us to express it without judgments does kind of open up our hearts, very quickly. It's so rare and hard to find. We will allow others to open up like that to and happily explore all their dark places so they also can get rid of their pint up fears and taboo thoughts or feelings. I've seen it said before regarding the difference between Pluto ppl and Scorpio ppl, meaning ppl who's planet Pluto was dominant versus scorpio dominant ppl...the difference they say is Pluto is colder and seems less emotional than scorpio the sign. Even though we come across possibly colder like that, I don't think we are, we just express the Pluto energy in a less emotional way. I can come across very cold when I'm in those places but I'm not...I'm just expressing the void I feel, IM not the void but I still feel it sometimes. IP: Logged |

I'm this way particularly to strangers. I'm sure they all think I'm an @ss. LOL Don't ask me "how's it going" unless you mean it! I'm just quiet, mostly unresponsive or just kind of cold about it. Very uninterested. I have my moments though. Depends on my environment. IP: Logged |

I used to try very hard to not let myself appear that way, I don't know why it bothers me so much if ppl think I'm cold, but lately I don't seem to care as much I just want to be who I am and understood for that. I'm tired of being nice when ppl really don't deserve it. IP: Logged |
