Topic: Transiting Pluto trine Sun. What to expect?

Hi, If someone here had tr Pluto trine Sun, what are your general experiences? Would you consider it a lucky influence?
Also, what houses and rulers were involved? My Sun is in Virgo (17 deg) in the 1st house and Pluto will be transiting it from the 5th. Any help would be very appreciated

I’m not sure I can tell you what to expect, but I’m in the middle of this multi-year transit…Sun 14 Virgo. I’ve certainly been examining myself more and the process has been gentle enough. I’m trying to take this as an opportunity to transform the parts of my life and personality that just aren’t working. The difficult thing is that a large part of what needs transforming, frankly, is that I’m a bit lazy and unmotivated. I have noticed a rather marked transformation in my level and ease in sociability…something significant for a Virgo Sun / Cancer Moon / Virgo rising. But I don’t know that this is related. I might think so, if for example, my 11th house was impacted, but it’s my 1st and 5th...well maybe that could be a 1st thing...increased confidence.IP: Logged |

Because it's trine and harmonious, it should bring about a positive/dramatic change in you, be it your looks, attitude etc.Have you read this interesting article?

Gemmi,I went through this transit in the last several years. How you experience this transit will depend on what other transits accompany it. You can expect some solidification of health (if you are taking care of yourself reasonably). It can be a time in which you experience the rewards of making efforts to gain strength (psychologically and physically). It can present opportune moments for making positive life changes that may've been too hard previously. ------------------

I think it is both 1st and 5th house thing. I always perceived the 5th house as one of the interpersonal houses. It represents our self-expression and I read somewhere that it partly represents how we relate to others, contrary to 11th house which represents what we receive from others. So it makes sense that with tr Pluto here you are experiencing changes in your social life. Also, if your ASC is in Virgo, then Leo ruled by the Sun, should be the lord of your 12th house. Maybe that’s why you are also experiencing increased self-examination and introspection.
I also have my Sun in the 1st house and I noticed that whatever transit affects my Sun, I feel it very strongly and it brings a very encompassing kind of experience. Being a Virgo rising, Mercury is my chart ruler but transits to Mercury are not so powerful compared to transits affecting my Sun. This must be the 1st house thing.

Thanks Astra7 and Kannon McAfee for your comments.Astra7, I read the article and it rings true. I know two Virgo women who had tr Pluto trine Sun and in both cases the period was marked by a new stage in life (marriage and a great job, for life).
This transit doesn't seem to protect against other adverse influences. I think both women had tr. Chiron opposite Sun as well. The first one got married but afterwards had problems getting pregnant and the second one, before she was finally given a permanent position, was unemployed for some months. So it is not that strong and general picture strongly depends on other influences.

Sextile is similar to trine but is said to require some work and effort to fully take advantage of the possibilities. Things might not come as easily as with trine, so more proactive attitude is needed.

Pluto trined my Sun in 2009(I have the sextile natally).I got fired and re-hired making twice as much as before, bought my home, and got my first car. You will find many angels along the way. ------------------

Well, I really hope that at least circumstances or other people won't constantly be against me, as it has recently been the case. With my current nasty transits I have the impression that all my efforts are constantly met with resistance and blocked. So I really hope for some change in this area.

Astra7, I went through tr Pluto square my Virgo Sun app. 12 years ago when Pluto was in Sagittarius. It came not long after tr Pluto opposed my Moon conj. MC and squared my ASC. It was a difficult series of Pluto transits but a very reinforcing one, when it was over. Wow, you went through when you are in school?
I guess it would have brought different problems than being an adult though it must have been difficult in itself.

Sort of... Saturn was squaring my 2nd house ruler. ------------------- I got fired(I was in the top 5 guys in my region).... So I was like what ever.
My grand father was dying and I had to leave the country. During this time many co-workers, bosses, and directors were trying to get a hold of me.
Long story short they asked me(through Facebook) if I would like to come back, I said "No"(I had another project going on). So they told me to write a resignation letter(In my mind I was like "F... No"). I ponder about it for a day and I accepted the job offer. So far, It has been the best decision of my life. P.S. @ the time - Pluto conjunct Neptune(6th house), Trined Sun(11th house), Sextile Pluto(2nd House). ------------------

@Astra7: One thing you can expect is betrayal. I'm going through the semi-square. My Sun(11th house) is being afflicted by every major planet. So, I'm keeping a low profile when relating to other people. You can see what's cooking so keep your cool and try to stay one step ahead. It has worked so far...  ------------------

Transit Pluto is currently sextile my Sun.I feel more empowered and ready to face my daemons more so than any other time in my life. I've been feeling restless like a big change is coming I looked at my transits.. And what do ya know.. Pluto. IP: Logged |
