I'm just joking. Everyone knows My Ascendant is Leo because I wear a sweat band that says so.What I really want is to know if you can identify patterns in my chart that I can then research. I was never a visual person and failed geometry, so if you see anything worth noting please let me know. In SaturnFan's post about the April 18th New Moon an Oscillo was mentioned. I love the description of an Oscillo, and I was wondering if you can see one in my chart. If not what do you see? Thanks so much! If anyone else wants to put up their chart for review please do! LOL... Smart move, venus2tinkerbell I'm not good at this, let's see what others say. But just one observation, this tight Jupiter-Mercury-AC conjunction, wow! I suspect this helps you manifest the potential of your Nodal Axis, taking higher knowledge and spirituality (= Pisces SN + Jupiter, the traditional Pisces ruler, being trined by the modern ruler Neptune) and channeling it through your mind in a practical way, into reality (Mercury + Virgo NN, how fitting that Mercury rules Virgo!). The AC conjunction must be magnifying this energy. This is what immediately stood out to me! IP: Logged |

edit: In my haste I completely ignored the intention of the post and did a quick reading. I don't wanna derail the thread purpose so I erased itMy current opinion of geometry is neutral. If I see a grand trine I simply read it as three aspects forming a triangle in a complementary way. I don't think any special meaning needs to be attributed. But maybe someone with more experience will weigh in. IP: Logged |

Saturn, I like the connection you're making between the nodal axis and the Mercury Jupiter Ascendant conjunction. While looking at my NN I kept looking at my Ascendant. I have to take my time with that, and try to understand it. IP: Logged |

I had your original reply pulled up on my phone and I got to read it a few times. It was really great. My answer to I think all of the questions was YES. You said to look at Neptune and I will. IP: Logged |

I have a question for you, venus2tinkerbell.What type of men do you usually attract? I'm curious to know if that afflicted Mars of yours reflects the type of men you are attracted to/attract; and second, what type of men do you have actual (committed) relationships with? And are they concordant? If you don't feel like replying here, that is fine. IP: Logged |

I attract intelligent men who are emotionally unavailable. They struggle with a wound, or they flat out suffer from mental illness. They are black sheep in their homes and communities. They think differently, and behave differently, and though they are black sheep they are admired as exceptional. Still, I never think they get enough recognition for their innovative ideas. They are wonderful communicators. They speak, and write. They love talking, but withdraw frequently because of their need for more freedom, or their depression. They don't just withdraw from me. This is a lifelong pattern. And these are also the men I commit to. In the last 5 years I think I have discovered I am more attracted to men who are a little bit chattier, funny, and lighthearted- still dynamic, but more in sexual and artistic expression. Those men (2) who pursued me seriously, were literally unavailable. So...nothing really changed. I mention that because I think Mars represents the men I attract/am attracted to, but we can see it also represents something about me. I don't know what. I didn't know my Mars was afflicted. Can you please tell me about that? Feel free to ask me anything. Thanks for your feedback on my chart. It is so much appreciated. IP: Logged |

Yeah, you're right.Do you like this video? I just fell in love with Saturn Mars. At first it sounds scary, but I am so familiar with this energy it is almost a relief to read and hear about what I already know...and how to use it! Anyway, the song is by Dead Prez, The Way of Life. The song is for Saturn Mars, but the video is just cool. Look I'm still derailing it. i'm a derailer. IP: Logged |

venus2tinkerbell,Thanks for answering. It definitely makes sense. Both Mars and your DSC are in Air signs and afflicted, pointing to your pattern of attraction to unavailable men. The traits they posses also reflect your Mars position and aspects. Interesting. Do you know why you keep attracting such men? Perhaps you are also afraid of intimacy and/or commitment, and those men just reflect that to you (albeit not consciously)? You have a Moon/Chiron conjunction opposing Uranus, which makes me think that your early life wasn't emotionally fulfilling to you. Perhaps you learned to disengage emotionally and not get yourself too involved (emotionally at least) for fear of being abandoned or mistreated. And even if you are now a self-confident, self-aware grown-up woman, perhaps some past wounds are still keeping you from enjoying a stable, intimate bond with someone. (Unless you don't want that kind of thing, which would then explain your attraction pattern. Though it'd be interesting to ask yourself why you don't want a stable, committed bond with a special person.) Your NN is also worth mentioning: in the 2nd house, in Virgo and conjunct Saturn - very earthy influence here. Discernment, boundaries, self-worth, commitment and dedication are some key words. Obviously the Mars/Neptune opposition "obstructs" all of that (by squaring that NN/Saturn conjunction). Looks like issues with men and people of authority in your life may be challenging your evolution, although these same issues also make you grow and gain more awareness. Ps. When I call a planet "afflicted", it just means that it makes several stressful aspects to other planets. What it means in general is that the energies of that planet have a hard time being expressed in a fluid, natural and harmonious way. Instead, there are challenges, internal and/or external, which demand attention and inner work. Pps. I also have Mars square Saturn, so thanks for the link to the video. Resonates.

I definitely have issues with my father. He had a very difficult childhood. He was abused and neglected by women. His marriage to my mother was his third marriage, and I was his first daughter. I imagine I kind of freaked him out. He didn't know what to do with me. I think even before he and my mother began having problems, he probably had problems relating to me. My mother and father split when I was very young (only to reunite 25 years later). From around 4 to 10 I shared my mother's isolated world of suffering (with my 2 siblings). I remember being scared and feeling vulnerable, and then finally taking my place as the grounded one, the stabilizer, at 7 or 8. At around 10 God had mercy on me, and my life changed. My father and I are not emotionally expressive. There is only as much intimacy in our relationship as he can manage. But I know he loves me, and I can tell how hard he tries to show me. I love him dearly, and he is one of very few people I will listen to. I know I have issues with my father and they should connect to my relationships with men, but I only see the connection in my sexuality, not why I keep attracting this type of man. And I do think I keep attracting this type because of my own issues with commitment. In my mind my current pattern starts with my first husband. I did marry him because of my daddy issues. I was 19, he was 29. He was a father figure and he was in charge. He was an excellent father, but in reality I wasn't his daughter. I was supposed to be his wife. When I grew up he couldn't relate to me, or I couldn't relate to him. I made a drastic change in my life by leaving him, and with some other decisions I made. I needed to make those decisions, but I hurt a lot of people around me. I think I can't commit because I need the freedom to change without devastating and breaking the hearts of those around me. I enjoy my life and adventures, but they are very painful for the people around me. My expression seems to scare and injure people, so I keep everyone at arms length so I can do what I want to, need to do. The only people really close to me are children. Their needs are simple, for now. It's hard to evaluate yourself. I don't know. Does it sound honest? I'm trying to be. Thanks Doux Rêve. I appreciate you asking questions and encouraging me to think about this. IP: Logged |
