I love the dark topics. It must be because I have Saturn in Scorpio. Saturn drives one to unearth the sign in which it resides. Scorpio is all things taboo—- emotional and sexual. However, once in a while, a girl has to write about beauty and love.

Venus is what we love. Venus is what we find pleasing. It is our “tastes” in music, clothes, home decor and personal mannerisms for ourselves and others. It could come under the heading of aesthetics. You will see that each House which holds Venus will impart distinct traits. Each sign will, as well.

Venus in the Houses
1st House

This native will shower personal beauty on herself. By this, I mean that she will take time with her appearance. She, probably, would not run to the store in a ratty T shirt. She would have special “store going” clothes. They may not be her date outfit, but they will not be your boyfriend’s ratty shirt.. She will, likely, be refined. She will likely have a refined sense of humor.

2nd House

This native values the material world. She has a particular need for material security. Her home would, likely, be well kept. One may be able to pop in at ANY time, without giving her a heart attack.( I can tell you NOT to do this with an earth void)

3rd House

This native will value communication. She will, likely, take pride in her communication skills, as well as her diction and vocabulary. She will be attracted to others who do the same.

4th House

This native values all things related to the home, such as cooking and home decor. This native, probably, has a wall of family photos. She, probably, has scented candles and fresh bread in the oven and home made soup on the stove.

5th House

This native loves to play. You know how a dog makes a “play bow” and then you are off? This native has the same joy de vivre. He values sense of humor a great deal, so polish up your wit if you are interested in a 5th House Venus

6th House

This native will value a work ethic. If one is fortunate enough to have him for an employee, one has scored bonus points. He will be steady when one needs a person who is not a shallow or superficial.

7th House

This native likes harmony in all things, whether that be relationships or quiet surroundings. She will beautify her home and her personal appearance, such that she will make the most beautiful that which she has. Marriage means a great deal to her.

8th House

This native love depth. If you are shallow, take the first exit because this native will do that for you, if you don’t do it for yourself. This native may like dark, rich wood and ornate kinds of home decor such as rich tapestries. She may like music that contains great depth in either/or both the lyrics or the actual music. I link “Bolero” by Ravel to this House.

9th House

This is my House. I love to learn. I love to read. I am curious about everything. I had to find God, as well, from the time I was a little girl. The 9th House is the House of spirituality/God. It is the House of Higher Education, as well as the House of Astrology.

10th House

This native values his social position. He may have had a loving relationship with his dad. He values the trait of hard work. He will give respect and must respect those with whom he shares his life. If he does not respect you, you will find yourself at a locked door when you come to visit.

11th House

This native values her contributions to the larger world. She will, likely, be part of charities which hold meaning for her.

12th House

This native will not love in a shallow manner. His love does not come cheaply. You must earn it and you must give him time to open up. What do they say? All good things take time.

Really interesting, made me look at Venus in a different way.
I have Venus in the 5th and I do have a sense of humour...but I also have lots of Gemini going on in my chart

"6th House

This native will value a work ethic. If one is fortunate enough to have him for an employee, one has scored bonus points. He will be steady when one needs a person who is not a shallow or superficial."

I'll add what I think is an important mark of a 6th Venus - work needs to be pleasant and enjoyable. If I'm going to spend 8 hours of my life somewhere it is going to be enjoyable. It has to be a sociable environment too.

I'll bend the rules to make the place enjoyable.

Example, I really enjoy going to the gym during my work hour. If I decide to take an extra 20-30 minutes I don't expect my boss to make a fuss about it. I'll actually be pretty offended if they make a stink about it if it has no logic to it - like about control rather than necessity. I work hard so I don't tolerate fussiness about things that don't truly matter.

Work hard but I'll still demand it be a sociable, enjoyable experience when it isn't time to grind it out.

I can't stand coworkers that work in fear of getting reprimanded for even the slightest indulgences. It's annoying. Just enjoy yourself and work damn it.

But it's easy for the 6th house Venus to bend the rules a bit, especially a Libra one, because people like us at work. The charm flourishes.

cool I've never really looked into my 10th house Venus.

I have a pretty good relationship with my dad. And I must say he has been a positive influence in my life. Honestly he is a saint. He is cooking a steak for me for dinner tonight.

You would think I would be super successful with my Venus in house 10.

Respect is the key with me. Throw trust in there as well. If it isn't there, no dice! Don't come a knockin if there is a lack there.

Yeah, it fits.

Well, it is a blend but I would say the sign has more power than the house, if I had to choose.

I personally see it as Venus is the way you love. How you show love and what you find beautiful.
Dsc is what kinds of people that you attract. Not even that sign in particular but people who behave in a manner similar to that sign.
Or maybe strong influence from the planet that the sign rules.
There are many ways it could work.

Mine is Aries and my wife's mars is at the top of her chart and trine Venus, which is in her first house. She's not a quiet, shy person at all.
But it could be someone who's mars is prominent in the synastry, etc.
That's for Aries dsc.

I have a Cancer Venus in 11H and I kinda, sorta want to belong to a group or charity but my Aqua Vertex won't let me :/ Or Anti-Vertex in LEO rather. I also have Leo Saturn in 11H that gives me trouble. I do tend to want to help larger masses by being motivational and I also tend to speak in larger terms which makes people close to me feel rather insignificant.

My Venus is square Chiron and Uranus (uranus being opp. chiron) and all the things I know and try to pass on to people, I have learned the hard way from-you guessed right- larger groups of people. It's a receive and give, I suppose?

Venus in 5th house and so true! I am a gamer, and a sucker for all kinds of games lol! I can also sit and talk, but I prefer doing something that include games a lot more

And having a sense of humour is also very important for me But it has to be very strange like my own lol, or very clever, but not in that "I'm more intelligent than you"-kind of way, if that makes sense
