Sag moon here.

If a Sag placement wants to be with you more than once that means a lot.

Its a very huge conflict between freedom and commitment.

It's very hard to explain.... You want to be free but keep someone close.

Every Sag Sun I have ever met has been super aloof but they keep talking to you because they are seeking "Something" then they get distracted but they always come back.

Welcome to the mutable joy ride...!!!

Offhand, I can't think of any other Sags, Sag ASC, and the like that are like the 3 you know either.

It could do with perspective, you certainly would have a different one than me. Or projection, which Aries are famous for.

With the Aries / Sag moon in particular he paid more attention to me when I ignored him, but that got annoying after a little bit. I'm a Taurus moon and part of my need is being able to SHOW affection / attention to someone without them ignoring me for months afterwards!

Now I'm confused. First it appeared to me in your OP that you thought that it took time and familiarity to build trust (and with it, closeness), which makes sense to me if not to those Sags who I thought you said were upset because you weren't as close to them as you were others whom you spent a lot more time with and thus got to know better (IOW, they wanted to be like a best bud to you while treating you like an acquaintance, or at the very least wanted you to trust them in an "innocent until proven guilty" way).

But now it sounds like that they feel you're the one not spending enough time to develop that closeness in the first place instead of them.

Maybe they're attention seekers, or more likely, in some competition (the more messages and stuff they get the more they "score" on whatever social media they use), in either case I can say my Sag energy would have better things to do than cater to that.

Sag need for freedom quincunx Taurus need for commitment.

It's very hard to understand each other.

Actually in my OP I asked if Sags don't take those things (time etc.) into account when feeling close with someone.

I was driving before so I couldn't answer completely, but no they weren't upset I didn't spend more time, not sure where that came from or if I had said something like that about one of the 3 mentioned? In any case, the Aries wasn't upset I wasn't spending time with him because he wasn't asking me, it just seemed the more I met him half way the less effort he put in. It didn't really have to do with likes or anything.

In this case I was trying to understand what she was saying, not why she said it.

Do you mean growth wise?

Yes... in a sense.
Although it doesn't really matter whether they were older or younger, mature or immature. Many Sagittarian men in my past (not all, but many!)- resemble books to me.
I only recently realised this... when I thought back on my experiences with them lol

The experience of knowing them, is like the experience I have when I read a book... because first of all - I see them a bit like inanimate objects that I can learn something from... and secondly, I "learn" from them by watching them (in the same way you would when you read a book).

You don't become emotionally involved or attached to a book. You just read it. It's interesting. You keep reading. Eventually you either finish the book, or you get bored.
So when you're done, you go and buy a new book!

That's been my experience with Sag-influenced men lol
I know it doesn't sound nice... but it's not exactly my fault that they come across to me as an inanimate object... *shrug*

The exceptions were guys with earth in their natal charts, and Scorpio placements. They got closer to me, because we share the earth/water elements.

quote:
It's really easy for me to get a personal connection with the Sag guys but making that connection last is another story.

Oh Ok... See for me.. I would never call a connection "close" or "personal" unless it was already long term.. like a couple of years at least...
So I am basically saying the same thing you are saying.

quote:
What does it take for someone to be able to hang out with you / be part of your everyday life?

This is what I mean ^ basically.. I neither want to be, nor do I become part of their daily life - because I don't see them as "real" people.
As I said, there were exceptions. I haven't had this issue with Sagittarius women... and -some- men (who had similar charts to mine).

Also, honestly.. as far as I've seen, no one really becomes part of their daily lives.
Sagittarian men don't often get close enough to call someone a best friend, because they are afraid of that. They keep a great majority of people at arm's length.
They are more likely to feel emotional (and passionate) towards a country, or a language or a political viewpoint - than they are to have feelings for another person.

I have only ever met one Sagittarius man with a best friend. The best friend was male, an Aries, and they'd known each other since pre-school.
They are definitely more open to same-sex friendships... This is one of the signs I see as "sexism-friendly".

So lol... If you were an Aries man... you'd have a better shot at becoming part of their everyday life...
But being female and all, it's highly unlikely.

quote:
I am just trying to get to the heart of why that energy in particular makes me feel like a kid in high school who just wants to be part of the popular crowd

I'm not surprised you feel this way. Because they are *snobs*.
This is a way to keep people at arm's length.

They are particularly scared of anyone of the opposite sex - because they immediately imagine you want to be with them 'forever after' and that you see them as the future father of your children.
(But isn't that what *all* women want?? O.o LoL
I had a Sag ask me, a few months back, whether getting married is a woman's biggest dream Lmao.. I didn't answer. I just laughed)

So yeah. I really have no idea why this is - but Sag men behave as though they are on the "most wanted" list (most wanted for marriage that is).. and spend their lives as a runaway lol

This is of course, only real ^ in their imagination... but don't try to tell them otherwise!

^ Living the Sagittarian dream.
