Is there a way to help ourselves?
I think this is due to afflicted Mars and several very sensitive points.

I could tell you all the standard stuff: meditate, have hope etc etc.
But beyond the obvious what works for me is trying to detach myself from my feelings about what's happening at the moment.
And I mean detach like you're watching yourself, not repressing what you feel.
If you need to cry or scream just do it...don't hold in.
Besides that I seek the advice of Tarot it helps me coping and decide my next moves when things are tough.

I guess I am lucky in a sense that I have an extremely prominent Jupiter that aspects all my personal planets by trine or sextile and also sits at the highest point in my chart (culminating) conjunct MC, but in 9H. My Moon is ruled by Saturn and is the depositor of my Sun so no hardship faces me much. I just dig down and keep going. I do have Mars in 12H sq Neptune but conj Asc and it gives me drive and an inner power to plod along.

There is something good in all negative so try to look at it that way

I have a bad Mars too.
Don't get bogged down about it because that won't change anything. Just keep going, keep working at yourself. Be it meditation or whatever that makes you happy.

I watch a lot of TV, lose myself in video games or books. I don't leave the house.

The problem is that I often feel that way, because I break down on every larger obstacle. I just feel that Im not strong enough to deal with life.''World is a hell in which optimists can be only those who are insensitive, stupid or millionaires'', said one writer, and I cannot agree more.

------

I do, as well... to a degree.

You don't want to be like them, do you?

Or a millionaire at the cost of your sensitivity

and intelligence?

Serious question.

Queen Salome,

Where is your SN and Moon?

I'm not sure this is just about an afflicted Mars.

The way you've phrased the question doesn't trigger associations with Mars. Instead look to Saturn and Pluto.

When you feel that you are not up to the challenges of your own life, this can be an empowerment issue, or it may be a lack of clarity in understanding your actual responsibilities (response-ability). This can be due to a shortage of energy and physical vigor to tackle your daily challenges, or it may be more due to psychological perspective (often a mixture of both).

People often drag with them baggage and burdens from the past that weigh them down and make the journey more difficult. There is healing for everyone. Many burdens can simply be lain down and left behind. I had to learn how to do this.

Mars shows how we function day-to-day, but Pluto shows the empowerment that underlies that.

Kannon,

Good point there.

I can certainly relate.

How did you "do this", if I may ask?
How do you move forward?

Hello, Queen Salome. I'm glad you asked. I notice you said "I often feel" and "I just feel..." Feelings can be wrong, they often are.

When these feelings come up, ask yourself "is it true?" A lot of suffering comes from what we believe, about ourselves, other people, and the world around us. There are three other questions that Byron Cate talks about in her work. Here's a link. If you'd like to, take a look.

In other words, look for relief and re-direct your thoughts to things that take the focus away from "what is".

But I wonder if you have always felt that? Or is it a recent occurrence?

If in the 1st instance, I would look at natal Saturn/Pluto to Mars,Moon,Sun ,Mercury or Asc

If in the 2nd,look at progressions of the same personal planets aspect Saturn/Pluto

Saturn calls us to pay our dues. And so does Pluto.

But with Pluto,it tends to be more psychological and has a very "absolute" quality to it.

There is often psychological growth in the latter that is not readily recognizable

When I reached rock bottom in 2004 the only thing that brought me back to life was energy healing, then some decisions on a spiritual level to simply lay down the burdens of the old pattern and start re-creating my life without the old assumptions or limitations. (See Kryon book 1). Many people who have payed up certain karma still keep walking around with the baggage on their backs, keeping the pattern going. This is normal, but no longer necessary. Once you've addressed certain karmic lessons, you can leave the pattern behind and set a new one.

That was a life-altering approach that was demanded of me at the time. I don't know if that is relevant to you or Queen Salome, but if not, more ordinary approaches could work -- boosting energy levels, balancing your energy (biocircuits, acupunture).

I refuse to believe that life was meant to over-burden anyone. And I'm not going to lecture that its 'all attitude.' Maybe it is, but that doesn't help anyone who is struggling. Generally, we get gradually worn down by the demands of our so-called obligations and our health not being strong enough to match. Just because you don't have a medical diagnosis does not mean you are actually as healthy as you can be.

Tonic herbs (adaptogens) from TCM, etc, can be useful in adapting to both physical and emotional/psych. stress. They rouse the body's energies and can change our sense of what is doable. Many people have nutritional deficiencies that have become chronic that do not show up on blood tests. These can be the most simple things such as vitamin deficiencies that make it hard for the nervous system to keep up.

I know people's birth charts are more challenging perhaps than others, but none of them were meant to be 'too much.'

I agree with Kannon, sounds like Saturn or Pluto trying to get your attention. If you view your feelings and thoughts as something 'external' then you might be able to use them and see what they're trying to tell you.

Usually depression (not saying you're depressed) is a way for our psyche to let us know that our internal view of reality needs to be changed to fit a larger and more expansive reality out there.

A note on meditation, it's not supposed to ignore the 'problem' per se, it's supposed to allow space for different thinking and different solutions to present themselves.

You're just more aware than the rest of them. Of course if you go through life with eyes closed you'll be completely happy and calm.

Thank you for all your answers and avices.
I do not think it is only about weak Mars.
I have Saturn square Mars, Mercury, ASC
Neptune square Sun
Moon is in Capricorn in 9th, part of a emotionally disturbing stellium asteroid Kaali-Moon-Uranus-NN-Neptune-MC
SN in Cancer conjunct fixed star Sirius and IC from 3rd House
I honestly think, and was told many times by other people, that I am more intelligent, smart and aware than majority people. One astrologer told me than in my past life I was some kind of spiritual leader, which actually makes sense to me. I was reading buddhist literature when I was 15, but showed interest in religion and spirituality much before. But as I am growing, I feel incapable to deal even with small problems. Currently I am having difficult period and cant see any light. I feel life is way too dificult to endure it..
