Hi Lovely

quote:
Doc says that my case is too far gone. I'd need surgery. Unless I want my situation to get much worse.

Like you, I'm not a fan of doctors or modern medicine... I've had negative experiences myself in the past, and as things are - I mostly avoid visits to the doctor, unless it is urgent or very serious.

Because of my distrust in doctors, and because I was misdiagnosed in the past - and basically convinced (if not forced) to have a surgery that, as it turned out, I didn't even need at all.... I would now, always get a second opinion!

In retrospect I am pretty sure that the motivation behind the surgeon's behaviour (in my case) - was purely financial. Christmas was coming up and they thought: Why not perform a couple more surgeries and make a bit of extra cash?

I was ok in the end. My surgery went fine and it was not very serious, but *knowing* that I could've easily been perfectly fine without it.. (in one or two months tops!)... is upsetting.
Not just because of the high costs, but also because of the psychological drama they put me through.

I am telling you all this.. because I didn't like the choice of words your doctor appears to have used: "case is too far gone", "must have surgery unless you want the situation to get much worse".
Your doctor may well be honest and well-intentioned... but this particular "style" of expressing him/herself brings back memories of the scare tactics that were used on me - when I was coerced into having surgery.

Would you be able to get a second opinion?

Thanks for the link Ami!

I'm confused about this part though:

"Re-schedule an appointment if it falls on a Moon's void-of-course day. The Moon is void-of-course when it has left one sign and has yet to enter another. It is NOT a day for action; nothing will happen. You will end up having to go back and re-do it"

Never heard of this. There are days where there are no Moon signs occupying it??

Yeah. I cannot really tell if he's doing this for my sole benefit...or if he has an agenda. And that does not calm me. Not saying he's lying, but I just would like to feel more secure about all of this!

I'm pretty sure that I'm going to go on and do this on the 25th now. I may or may not have time for a second opinion. We'll see! I just want to get this sh*t over with.

*sigh*

Before going to see any dentist, surgeon, doctor or the like- the patient must already have the belief that the condition will get better or be altogether cured.

So if the doctor, surgeon or dentist delivers a message that conflicts with that position, seek 2nd opinion.

There is of-course a difference between naivete and hopefulness.

When we are naive, we believe that when we reach an ocean and can't seem to cross. We can pray for the ocean to open and for us to walk through

But when we are "hopeful", we are always mindful of the fact that recovery is imminent. That no matter how deep the problem is. the problem is temporary and is NOT in any way a permanent fixture.

Now many will argue that there are those who were "hopeful" for conditions in their life to change, but never did.

My thing is that we can never really see "inside" a person and can never tell when they eventually remove themselves to an opinion that is contradictory from the one they started out with.

So whilst we may "see" that the person is being hopeful etc. We can never tell the chronic thoughts, the ebb and flow of the emotional perceptions of their mind.

In your chart, I see that Pluto is crossing the 4th on both days. This surgery is life-changing(Pluto).

Post that, you will have Uranus forming a conjunction with your Sun(Identity). It is definitely a new beginning for you. Embrace all the changes that will take place, and it'll be easier for you.

Your Moon Cancer opposite Mars/Neptune conjunct in Cap suggest that you are naturally an excitable and idealistic person.

You can use this to strengthen the mind during this time. Hone your naturally spiritual outlook to support you and stay positive.

Because you are so a sensitive, especially with Neptune/Mars conjunct in 4th- your mind tends to be easily distracted and may tend towards excitability through little penetration.

You are not one to easily settle down and can panic a lot if your mind is not at ease.So avoid negative energies and people and focus only on recovery.

The usual conveniences of life may be thwarted or frustrated during this time-as will be clear with trans Mars joining the natal Moon on the 25th.

So at times, you may feel that your philosophical outlook and point of reference(Moon in 9th) is somewhat floored during this time.

And you may also feel the Neptune trine Moon aspect passivizing you a lot and making you more emotional. But this is temporary, remember that.

This surgery will bring on a new beginning- as is the case with Pluto, you are leaving a lot of the "old" behind. And with the added Uranus conjunct to Sun, it may do you well to embrace it

I feel exactly the same as you do about doctors. I have the asteroid that is the medical symbol on my Mercury. I keep forgetting the name but I wonder if you have it prominently, too. I am sure people know the asteroid. If not, I will get the name later.

LA--I am praying for you to find the best solution

The surgeon absolutely believes that I will recover and doesn't foresee many complications.

As I mentioned before, my paranoia comes from losing (2) of my loved ones after they suffered complications from their surgeries. Granted, they were older than me...but still.

A friend of mine is a doctor and he has worked with the surgeon that's operating on me. He feels that I'm in great hands. So I'm just going to trust God on this one!

I really do appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with me, Aries! You're awesome.

In general...I do not fear change. I typically embrace it and I love to evolve, grow and become a better version of myself each day. I'm just not too fond of surgery!! But I'm going to take your advice and work on relaxing about this. For my own well-being. All goes as planned?? Then this surgery will have definitely helped me.

I have definitely been feeling transiting Pluto over my 4th! I just moved. I moved to a neighboring state. I threw nearly everything I owned away, and had all new things delivered to the new place! I feel an overwhelming need to make this house a HOME - not just a "place", but my sanctuary. I want to decorate a lot -- it's like I became my Mother in this regard after she passed away last year!

I want to grill out more. Make tons of homemade drinks. Entertain and have people over. I have the strongest urge for this these days!

I'm also on leave from work until I recover from this upcoming surgery.

The office just called and told me that my surgery will be on the 24th instead - Doc will be stuck in a very long meeting on the 25th.

Again, I just want this sh*t over with. I'm going to try my best to stay positive.

LovelyAries86, I agree -- Do it and get it over with before Uranus transits any closer to your Sun in Aries. I'm so sorry about your mom, but this is about your needs and those cannot be assessed honestly in a state of fear. Any such fear weighs more strongly against a positive outcome than any astrological factor.

There is generally no way to avoid some negative astrological factors on the day of surgery (and the Moon on the 24th will not be VOC, something you should not worry about anyway).

The astrological factors to focus on are these:

(a) Natal Sun in Aries (=head) receiving major aspects by adverse transits or those that can mean disruptions, or increased likelihood of (unforseen) problems. Uranus 20ARI07 on the 25th is a safe distance <5*33'> from your natal Sun so as not to be a factor.

(b) Natal Saturn (=bones) is being squared by Neptune, but this probably partly represents the condition itself, or its latest developments, since this transit has been happening for you the last couple years. I had a dental pit removed 13 years ago when I had this transit and there were no complications because it was a quick non-penetrating procedure. The biggest potential problems come with surgeries that penetrate past the skeletal boundary into the inner organs. As I understand it, this is not what you are considering. Yes, there may be some scarring for a while, but I take it that the condition being remedied is more important than the likelihood of a scar. Apply Lavender oil to it for a few days afterwards.

There are several tight progressed aspects on the 25th, but they do not add up to a 'no' from what I can see. In fact, you'll benefit from an exact prog Jupiter Qunitile natal Neptune aspect. Exact means 0*00' orb.

I'm so sorry about your mom, but you are not your mom and it is very, very unlikely that you will have any major problems. Just take thorough measures to prevent infection AND take Turmeric in significant doses the day of and days after the operation. Turmeric is a blood mover that can prevent excess clotting that could be a problem. You can take it in the form of Curcumin (an extract) so you can take just one twice a day. If you prefer, you can take Butcher's Broom instead like they do in Europe (before/after surgery).

I would have thought 24th is actually better than 25th because tMoon will be in 1st H and moving into the sign of Scorpio. tMoon in 12th H shows that you will be in hospital, how appropriate! What's everyone's thought on this?

Kannon thank you! That was all very helpful.

So is Curcumin something that the doctor will naturally give to me? Or is it something that I need to request? I definitely don't want ANY chance of blood clots!

You're correct that my organs aren't being worked on, it's the bone. They also plan to expand the membrane over the bottom of my brain, but that's it.

LovelyAries86, tMoon means "transiting Moon."

Ami, yes, my knowledge of health and astrology pair up to give me confidence in those types of consults.

It is an herb -- Turmeric -- in concentrated (standardized) form. Get it at a local health/herb shop (or order online if fast shipping). www.swansonvitamins.com/

Nature's Way brand Curcumin at iHerb

Doesn't that require going past the skeletal boundary (skull)? In any case, Turmeric is a good herb for blood flow and healing, and something else you should know about is ...
The top homeopathic remedy for broken bones is what I would use to assist healing -- Symphytum. Symphytum in a 200c (lowest Rx potency) is what I would use for this situation. It is the herb "knit-bone" (Comfrey) in non-toxic homepathic form.

Symphytum can be obtain at this website run by a homeopath:
https://www.homeopathyovernight.net/product.php?id_product=9002322
I would take 3-4 pellets before the surgery,a and at least once within several days after the surgery. Dissolve them in your mouth when it is clean, or in a small amount of drinking water if you need to. Contact me at kannonmcafee (at) gmail (dot)com if you need more info about this remedy or dosing.

While utilizing homepathic remedies you have to avoid contact with/inhalation of strong chemicals (bleach, ammonia, etc) and essential oils (like mint, camphor, lavender, etc), including in toothpaste. Otherwise you can antidote them and receive no benefit at all.

Well tomorrow is the big day!

I'm still slightly nervous, but feeling much better. Just going to continue trusting God on this.

I've taken the last couple of nights to totally relax in any way that I can. Too bad that I can't drink a glass of wine before this - my Taurus Venus says! Lol.

Thanks Odette! For caring.

I'm in a bit of pain, but I'm here. According to the staff, I'm doing exceptionally well for this early on in the game. I just have to take it easy, stay up on my meds, and make sure that I don't get any infections!

I'm glad to be moving forward.
