As long as I KNOW what I am talking about and have prepared in advance, I find it much easier. I don't like people putting me on the spot and being unprepared! When I understand a topic fully, I feel more comfortable speaking about it and this comes across.

When I do get up there, it is slightly challenging for me; because I am always wondering if I am being clear enough and if people understand what I am saying. Have I spoken too fast? Are they still following?
Do they get the point of what I am actually saying?

I actually wear glasses, so one of my techniques is to NOT wear glasses during speeches. That way, I am not focused on the facial expressions of other people - everyone is a blur and I can look at people and things without giving them a second thought.
